We LOVE Ramazzotti Wines! We first tried their Raffinto red at a local bar, Spirt Bar in Hotel Healdsburg. We were passing through Geyserville one Sunday Funday and decided to check out their downtown Geyserville tasting room. Marie served us, and in true Italian fashion, made us feel like family! We tasted our way through many of their wines and became members on the spot. Our favorite wines so far: *Raffinto 2020: "a Sonoma County red wine produced in the style of a Super Tuscan," a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Cab Franc *Sangiovese 2020 *Regale Reserve 2017: "a unique Bordeaux-style blend from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc then aged for thirty months in new French oak barrels." We also tasted and purchased: *Lacrima di La Torre 2021 - excited to open a bottle of this unique wine soon to re-experience it *Rapport dessert wine 2013 *olive oil NOTE: We just found out that the tasting room is temporarily closed as they look for a new space. This is a cool wine tasting shop. With the covid all tasting is done on the back patio by appointment. Maria Ramazzotti visited with us while we tasted and she was wonderful. The Recordo was one of our favorites so we ended up grabbing several bottles as we departed. read more

I love this tasting room! We have a membership to the wine clyb here, so we come up semi-often to pick up our cases. This place is right next door to Diavolo's restaurant and Locals tasting room. The family actually works the tasting room, and they are the best! They aways address us by name, and are always friendly. I love the big roll-up garage style door that opens onto the walkway outside. The wines here are beautifully crafted, and we've never had a vintage from here we didn't care for. All their wines are very flavorful and well balanced. If you like whites, try the chardonnay and the pino grigio. I also enjoy the sauvinon blanc, but the chard is my favorite. If you like reds, go for the Raffinto, and the cabernet sauvinon. I always buy a bottle or two extra of the cab, it's that good! If you are ever in Geyserville, stop by Ramazotti's read more

We visited Ramazzotti this week as our first outing since the pandemic began. It was reassuring to see how carefully they are following the COVID19 safety procedures. Physical distancing, mask wearing, and disinfecting protocols are all taken very seriously. The back patio (shared with Mercury wines) is comfortable and inviting. We also ordered delicious food from Diavolo next door which transforms a top-notch wine tasting into an Italian lunch experience sure to satisfy even the most critical Northern California foodie! This is a tasting room in the heart of Geyserville. We ended up hanging out here for a good while. We started tasting the wines, Zin-giovese Rose' first (fresh and aromatic). Next, the Raffinto-a "Super Tuscan" style blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and some others. That was delicious and made us hungry. Well, they make pizza next door, the owners said. Next thing you know, we're having pizza-and-Raffinto lunch on their covered patio. All these flavors, the people, and the little Italian flags on each table, transported us to a place far, far away. Well, mentally anyway. We felt like we were at one of their family get-togethers. We left much later, full and happy. The car's trunk was a little fuller, too, with Raffinto and Zin-giovese. They also make a 100% Zinfandel dessert wine, called Rapport. That one is perfect with dark chocolate! Some of that ended up in the trunk, too. read more

I wish I could give this winery 1000 stars. My girlfriend and I found their tasting room by chance driving through Sonoma County on vacation one evening. Of the 10 or so wineries we visited, this was by far the best - the best atmosphere, the warmest people, and the best wine. Joe Ramazzotti, the owner, so such a nice and welcoming guy. And Norma gave us a few extra tastings on the house! I felt like I was part of their family. Unexpectedly, we ended up buying a bottle of their Rapport, a bottle of Petite Sirah, and a bottle of the Grenache Noir. They were all awesome wines! Highly recommended! I've been here several times and the wines are good. I'd give them 3.5 stars overall, but will round it up to 4 stars. The Super Tuscan wine is fantastic. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is always friendly. They are adjoined with Mercury Winery at their location. They serve Italian wine varietals. I'd recommend this winery if you're in the area. read more

I have been a wine club member here for about two years now and LOVE IT! I personally am a red wine drinker and the variety does not disappoint. I enjoy all their reds but I'd have to say my favorite is the Cabernet Franc. The tasting room is nice and intimate and the staff are extremely knowledgeable about all the wines and the experience overall is wonderful. I also attended the yearly gathering at the home ranch and it was beyond beautiful. The wine tasting and food on the top of the winery was amazing! So I recommend you head over there and enjoy this prime vino. read more

Stopped by this little family-owned winery after a long hike around lake Sonoma. This place is a must for anyone who is interested in small production quality wines. Oops, joined another wine club. Our server (Sharon) was very nice and knowledgeable. She told us all about the wines (and a little about life). They have a lot of red blends that I really enjoyed, and the wine club is only two shipments a year (love those). $5 tasting fee - waived with purchase! read more

Great wine with big pours and a large tasting! The list was made up of 13 wines and yes we made it through all of them. The pourings started off large and we actually requested smaller tastes since this was our third winery of the day. The lady said we could pick what we wanted, and although I asked to skip she convinced us that we had to try all of the wines on her list. They had certain wines and then the same varietal in reserve form, which was fun to compare back to back. The fee was waved if you bought a bottle as well...which is how tasting should be! We also got a little snack between tastings too. The workers were incredibly nice. This and Mercury in the same building is a must stop when in Geyserville. read more

After a long drive in pounding rain several years ago, we stopped at Santi in Geyserville for dinner at the bar. We were surprised to find that the whole of the town plus other Sonoma residents were at Coppola's celebrating his birthday and had come to party afterward. We met Joe Ramazzotti at the bar that night and he was pouring his wine for all. We enjoyed him and the wine. The next time we were in Geyserville, we ran into Joe at Locals. The wine was as good as ever, plus reasonable. At that point, we joined the wine club. We cancelled the club membership from Locals, it was too unpredictable.. However, we look forward to the Ramazzotti shipment for the always excellent quality of wine. I read where they have a tasting room in Geyserville, which is terrific. I plan on being back there in 2 months and visiting. read more

I visited Ramazzotti on September 2nd, 2012, and had one of the best tasting experiences of my life. My wife and I were on a bike ride up Dry Creek Road and then cut over Canyon Rd. to pass through Geyserville (so scenic). The winemaker was there with his wife. He has grown grapes for 30 years and started making his own wine 10 years ago. He has a long list of wines for the tasting and each wine is exceptional. Joe signed my bottle and I'm looking forward to returning. I highly recommend visiting Ramazzotti! read more

This family owned winery has very delicious wines! I'd describe their wines as Italian inspired with a California twist. They have many different types of wines so I promise you'll find something you like. Personally I love them all and most importantly they are consistent from year to year. Joe and Norma Ramazzotti have spent a lifetime in Geyserville making wine and it shows. Along with Tasting Room Manager Sharon Ray, each wine is a story to be told. Joe has been working his family vineyards in Geyserville since his arrival to America as a child. As each winery has it's own style, the Ramazotti style is big and bold with old world Italian influences. The rose stands up to meat and veggies alike and the blends like Raffinto and Regale make your mouth water. Don't pass up the Sangiovese, Barbera and Cab Franc... All in all, don't miss Ramazzotti as you are strolling through Geyserville. There is a reason locals belong to the Ramazzotti Wine Club, the hospitality, great parties and amazing wines. A real gem in 'downtown' Geyserville. Ramazzotti is a real mom-and-pop winery making excellent red (I don't do white unless it has bubbles) wines in an EYE-TALIAN style. I am a wine club member and their wine club is one of, if not the, best out of the seven I do. Sharon is the treasure of the tasting room; genuine, friendly, and bubbly. We do not ever mention the "N" word (Napa) as the wineries of Sonoma are very friendly, customer oriented, and not charging hugely outrageous tasting fees. I would recommend Ramazzotti's and Geyserville to anybody looking for a real tasting room experience without all the hype, cost, and hullabaloo of commercial wineries owned by corporate masters. read more

Spectacular wine! We became club members when they first opened their wine tasting room in Geyserville. Joe & Norma Ramazzotti are great wine makers. They're very knowledgeable and exceptionally nice people. I think the reds rate right up there with the best of the best! I love white wine and the Chardonnay is delicious, creamy and smooth. I recommend going to the website and joining the club or order a few bottles first. Once you try it I guarantee you'll want more and will want to join. You can't buy Ramazzotti in big wine and grocery stores. Its apparent Ramazzotti is more interested in quality versus volume. Mercury wine is right next door so you'll want to try it as well. Geyserville is a cute little town and has a few exceptional restaurants. What more can one ask for than good wine, good food and a good time. Oh right-good health and everyone knows red wine promotes good health so you'll have it all! read more

Today we received our wine club shipment delivered personally by Joe Ramazzotti free of charge! What a wonderful, personable, unique and very much appreciated offering from this fantastic winery, especially now during this quarantine time! We received one of our favorite wines, 2016 Ragale Red Wine and were able to enjoy it with a beautiful steak! What a treat! We can't say enough about this winery! Awesome Red wine !! And a great tasting staff !! This is a must stop, every time I'm in the area. First went during Barrel Tasting & loved the wine so much, I became a member. I don't live in the area, so I have never been to an event but I go back enough to HIGHLY recommend this tasting room for anyone out looking for great red wine. This place has Great Red Wine, it's not a fancy winery. I say red wine, because that's what I like and concentrate on. Location is also good spot for other tastings. read more

After visiting several wineries in Napa and Sonoma, Ramazzotti was by far our favorite. The tasting room is discrete so we didn't even realize they were there until wandering by. Quite the hidden gem and we had an amazing experience on all levels! It's a small operation ran by an Italian family. Norma poured for us and was extremely knowledgeable, sweet, and friendly. Later through our tasting we got to meet Joe, the winemaker. Such a fantastic couple! After our tasting Joe and Norma recommended a great local Italian restaurant which was delish. They ended up showing up there for dinner as well so we got to visit with them further and learn more about their background and wine process which was a nice treat. Our favorite wines were the Grenache Noir, Chardonnay, and the Sangiovese. Joe focuses more on wines to enjoy soon rather than ones you need to store for years. We will be back in the area this weekend so I can't wait to stop in and restock. I am not a big fan of the wine clubs, but this is one that I'm highly considering. read more

The caviar and accompanying sauce is what made the dish. The mushroom risotto: 3 stars. Perhaps it's because I don't care for risotto - too moist for rice. However the flavor was good, albeit a little salty. The mushroom were cooked for perfection and delicious, wish I had more. The salmon with broccolini:3 stars. cooked to order. I like mine well done due to preventions of parasites. But it was still moist. The accompanying sauce did not help flavor much but I guess I could have put more salt. I really enjoy the veggies in the dish. The broccolini was cooked the way I like and the rings of squash were tender and sweet. The hubby got the beef shoulder for his third course:5 stars. Tender and falls apart much like a pot roast. Flavorful as well. Apple tart and ice cream: 4 stars. I actually enjoyed the dish. Not too sweet. You can taste all the flavors and texture. Over all we had a great time with the wine, food was accompaniment. The museum was fun to stroll thru as well.

When I tell you that my friend and I were hooked from beginning to end during our tasting, I am not kidding you. Reece was absolutely phenomenal and so was our entire tasting experience at Zialena. After passing by Zialena several times on my trips to DeLorimier, my friend and I finally decided to check them out for a tasting. You know I have to start off with their estate and grounds. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I will always be a fan of classic winery setups, BUT... I LOVED the modernized look of Zialena! The exterior of their building alone is so eye catching and unique. And then you walk inside and think, damn this place is so chic and hip! I love the artwork, I love the stylish tables and chairs with the bright orange seat cushions, I love the youthful and fun atmosphere and vibe. It's just wonderful. Those views! I underestimated how great they'd be because you can't see much from the outside. But once you're sitting on their patio, the views seem to be endless. Countless views of the hills and their beautiful vineyards. It helped that it was a stunning day outside too. Reece set us up on their side patio which was glorious. Now about this wine; fan-freakin-tastic! I loved every single wine that I tried. All were scrumptious. I'll get more into the wines in a bit, but first I'm gonna tell you a little bit about what I learned from Reece. Although the actual tasting room is newish, the winery is a fourth generation run operation by the Mazzoni family. The family hails from Italy and they've been harvesting grapes and producing wine for years. The winery is actually named after their Great Aunt Lena (Zia Lena in Italian). Mark and Lisa (sister and brother) are the owners and they also run the winery. Zialena grows grapes for over 90 different varietals and all of them are estate grown! That's right; those vineyards that surround their property are actually their own. They use whole cluster fermentation to produce their wines which basically means that they ferment the grapes with the stems (the stems aren't removed). This allows for more of an elaborate flavor profile in their wines. They also ferment in concrete with the top open. Never really heard of open top fermentation prior to coming here, but it allows for more oxygen to come in contact which helps with faster yeast production amongst other things. Alright, let me take my geeky wine brain hat off for a second. Reece had us completely engaged during this tasting. I literally started taking notes because it was so much interesting information. But those wines, dear GEEZUS! So, so good. Their unique fermentation techniques really paid off because their wines are so rich and complex. We tasted one welcoming white wine (Sauvignon Blanc) and 4 reds which were all incredible. The Cappella Red Blend was to DIE for and undoubtedly my favorite wine of the bunch. The spices were so pronounced but yet the wine went down oh so smooth. Took a bottle of that and I don't think it even lasted a few days. Reece was so knowledgeable and confident. This man probably could have sold us the earth and we would have bought it. Seriously. So engaging and we loved it. But wow, I'm impressed. Zialena is a one of a kind.

First of all the bread was so delicious. And then we tasted about 15 (?) different olive oils or vinegars. The raspberry, lemon, and garlic ones were clear favorites. My personal favorites were the garlic and sage. Even though it was a bit of a rainy & cloudy day, the views from the patio were beautiful. We finished our wine out by the fire pit outside, and now I really need to come back during the summertime when the skies are more clear for the full experience. I left with lots of olive oil and great Christmas gifts for the family. The four piece olive oil sets are perfect for that and I brought one home for my family and we did our own inspired mini taste testing (I still miss Trattore's bread tho). 10/10 recommend and yes I definitely want to come back for the summer views and this pizza oven I keep reading in all the other reviews:))
