Spent a divine afternoon at CAST Wines last month. Holly treated us like favored friends. She was so attentive and knowledgeable. Delicious reds, whites and my favorite - sparkling! We'll be back. #saber #bubbly

Extremely lovely setting nestled in the valley facing vineyards. Beautiful grounds meticulously maintained. Excellent sparkling wines though pricey. Tasting is $70/person. Includes nice charcuterie board with some cheese and salami and other treats. Each wine was good with the final reserve being the best. Bottles are just under $100. Nice stop if you have the time and the means.

Great wine and beautiful view! We had a fabulous time at CAST wines. The view is lovely and every wine included in our tasting was enjoyable. A charcuterie board was included in the tasting price and it complemented our wines well. I would highly recommend CAST wines.

We had a really nice time wine tasting last weekend at CAST. I had never been but we were already planning to go to a winery next door so we thought we'd check it out. They have a gorgeous outdoor space with this gigantic palm tree which provides some needed shade. I like that they started the tasting with sparkling wine. It was really good! We liked pretty much all of the wines except for one. They had a really nice Sauvignon Blanc and a tasty Zin. We also really enjoyed the Pinot. They served some food pairings with the red wines which were delicious. The salami was so good that the owner's dog stole a piece from our table! The dog was a good boy though so we weren't upset. He deserved it. If you're in Healdsburg and looking for somewhere to try, I'd recommend CAST!

Great wines and amazing property! We had a really enjoyable experience at Cast, and the barrel tasting was a nice touch. The staff was also friendly and answered all of our questions/went above and beyond what I've seen at other wineries. If you're looking for a beautiful spot to drink wine without the crowds I highly recommend Cast!

Delicious wines and beautiful ground set up above dry creek valley. We very much enjoyed our wine tasting here during winter Wineland. The blanc de Blanc and the granache we're a few of our favs. The current tasting experience is $45 per person for a flight

We got here on our Roadtrip pretty early and so we were the only people there which was amazing! The staff was very very accommodating and sweet and she made the experience all the better! We did a flight paired with food and it was the best! Love love loved my experience and cannot wait to return with friends and family! Also the wine was very yummy! It had me drinking and enjoying wine types I typically don't like! Highly recommend!

We are lucky and was able to make a reservation the morning of the day of the visit. We are local and decided to start expending our favorites so we picked a new place. We were greeded right away with sparkling wine. Our table outside was near the tasting room. They also have a area down near the parking lot that also looks nice. There is picnic tables also that you can bring in your own picnic. Nicely landscape so your not looking at the parking lot. Unfortunately I didn't get the gentlemans name that was helping us but he did a really good job. Our glass was never empty over a few minutes. My husband and I also got our own little pairing to go with the wines. Definitely added bonus to us. We left with 2 bottle of the Old Zin.

10/10 recommend this beautiful winery! The service is phenomenal. Courtney was super sweet and was very knowledgeable about the wine she was serving. The wine was delicious. Reasonably priced. The view was insanely beautiful and had a peaceful atmosphere. They have adorable dogs on site and the charcuterie board was the perfect portion for 2 people. If you are visiting this area, I recommend this winery to all!

    Absolutely stunning

This place was an absolute dream. The property and vineyard is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous. Our host was very warm and welcoming. We reserved a picnic and he provided us with cutting boards and other items to ensure we enjoyed our lunch. The wine was delicious. If you're ever in wine country this is a must see winery experience. The views!!! Are exceptional from wherever you stand or sit. Will definitely be back.

I don't normally drink wine but came for the olive oil and the experience and it did not disappoint! I also eventually changed my mind that red wine can be good:) We were seated indoors and Edd gave us the rundown of what we'd be tasting for the afternoon complete with stories and lots of fun facts. (I now look at any bottles that say "cold pressed" with some light skepticism since it's clearly only written there for marketing purposes!) We ordered a selection of the panini sandwiches, the burrata and butternut squash salad, and the charcuterie board. The fire cheese was delicious and the spread was perfect. Throughout lunch, Edd brought us different wines to taste and by the end we were most definitely sold on the Stone Soup (the red version). The olive oil tasting was so much fun. First of all the bread was so delicious. And then we tasted about 15 (?) different olive oils or vinegars. The raspberry, lemon, and garlic ones were clear favorites. My personal favorites were the garlic and sage. Even though it was a bit of a rainy & cloudy day, the views from the patio were beautiful. We finished our wine out by the fire pit outside, and now I really need to come back during the summertime when the skies are more clear for the full experience. I left with lots of olive oil and great Christmas gifts for the family. The four piece olive oil sets are perfect for that and I brought one home for my family and we did our own inspired mini taste testing (I still miss Trattore's bread tho). 10/10 recommend and yes I definitely want to come back for the summer views and this pizza oven I keep reading in all the other reviews:))

I showed up feeling like a mere mortal... by the time I left, I was a sommelier in spirit, draped in vineyard prestige and smelling of oak barrels. The Setting * The grounds are gorgeous. Rolling vineyards stretch out like green velvet, with immaculate landscaping, fountains, rose gardens--the sort of place you half‑expect a tuxedoed butler to walk you to your tasting table. * The architecture is elegant without being stuffy. Marble, wrought iron, white columns, and windows that let in golden light just so. Feels like you've stepped into a luxury retreat, but without all the pretentious "don't touch anything" signs. The Wine Experience * Tasting flights? Class act. They pour with confidence. Each wine tells its little story--bright citrus, hints of oak, berry whispering, a finish that lingers just long enough you start wondering if you should buy a case. * Knowledgeable staff who aren't snobby. They'll walk you through the differences between the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon, explain the barrel aging without talking over you, and even crack a joke or two about how wine pairs with late‑night pizza. Because, come on, late‑night pizza is life. The Fun Bits * Wandering the grounds is part of the charm: strolling labyrinths of vines, peeking into the wine cellar, chilling under olive trees, taking photos like you're pretending to be in a lifestyle magazine. * They've got nice spots to sit, sip 'n chat. Maybe even picnic (if they allow)--laying under the shade with a glass of something crisp and a cheese plate = pure contentment. * Bonus points if you catch golden hour there--sunset light turning everything warm and buttery, the vines glowing, your shadow long, your heart full. The One Tiny Caveat * For all its elegance, it can get popular and feel a little like a wedding venue at rush hour. If you want peace, go mid‑week or early morning. * Wine tasting isn't cheap here. But, dear god, is the ambiance and craftsmanship worth dipping into the wallet. Ferrari‑Carano isn't just a winery--it's what Instagram dreams are made of. It's class, nature, flavour, elegance, and fun. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I bring someone that I want to impress? Double yes. Would I wear khaki pants and sip wine slowly, trying to sound like I know things about oak barrels and terroir? Maybe. Probably... Baby steps. So if you want to feel fancy for a day, drink wine that's basically poetry in a glass, and walk through vineyards pretending your name is "Baron Mikey de Grapevine"--go here.

Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Tilley, a rescued Aussie Cattle Dog. I LOVE that they list her as one of the team members on their website. There is a large tasting room, and an outdoor covered patio on a terrace overlooking the vineyard with amazing views. Once we chose where we wanted to sit, our host, Christy, gave us a complementary taste of rose'. The tasting fee is $20 per person, waived with a two-bottle purchase. The tasting menu is mostly reds, but started with a Viognier. We were then offered the chance to try any white that they had open. Such a relaxing and, really, a perfect wine tasting experience. Christy is friendly and knowledgeable. And then Jim Rickards (owner) came over and talked to us for a while. He is very personable, and had some wonderful stories. We shared conversation with him for quite a while. We enjoyed all the wines. We bought the rose' and the merlot. Prices range from $30-$39 for the whites, and from $35-$63 for the reds.
