Great wine and beautiful view! We had a fabulous time at CAST wines. The view is lovely and every wine included in our tasting was enjoyable. A charcuterie board was included in the tasting price and it complemented our wines well. I would highly recommend CAST wines.

Spent a divine afternoon at CAST Wines last month. Holly treated us like favored friends. She was so attentive and knowledgeable. Delicious reds, whites and my favorite - sparkling! We'll be back. #saber #bubbly

Extremely lovely setting nestled in the valley facing vineyards. Beautiful grounds meticulously maintained. Excellent sparkling wines though pricey. Tasting is $70/person. Includes nice charcuterie board with some cheese and salami and other treats. Each wine was good with the final reserve being the best. Bottles are just under $100. Nice stop if you have the time and the means.

We had a really nice time wine tasting last weekend at CAST. I had never been but we were already planning to go to a winery next door so we thought we'd check it out. They have a gorgeous outdoor space with this gigantic palm tree which provides some needed shade. I like that they started the tasting with sparkling wine. It was really good! We liked pretty much all of the wines except for one. They had a really nice Sauvignon Blanc and a tasty Zin. We also really enjoyed the Pinot. They served some food pairings with the red wines which were delicious. The salami was so good that the owner's dog stole a piece from our table! The dog was a good boy though so we weren't upset. He deserved it. If you're in Healdsburg and looking for somewhere to try, I'd recommend CAST!

Great wines and amazing property! We had a really enjoyable experience at Cast, and the barrel tasting was a nice touch. The staff was also friendly and answered all of our questions/went above and beyond what I've seen at other wineries. If you're looking for a beautiful spot to drink wine without the crowds I highly recommend Cast!

We are lucky and was able to make a reservation the morning of the day of the visit. We are local and decided to start expending our favorites so we picked a new place. We were greeded right away with sparkling wine. Our table outside was near the tasting room. They also have a area down near the parking lot that also looks nice. There is picnic tables also that you can bring in your own picnic. Nicely landscape so your not looking at the parking lot. Unfortunately I didn't get the gentlemans name that was helping us but he did a really good job. Our glass was never empty over a few minutes. My husband and I also got our own little pairing to go with the wines. Definitely added bonus to us. We left with 2 bottle of the Old Zin.

Delicious wines and beautiful ground set up above dry creek valley. We very much enjoyed our wine tasting here during winter Wineland. The blanc de Blanc and the granache we're a few of our favs. The current tasting experience is $45 per person for a flight

We got here on our Roadtrip pretty early and so we were the only people there which was amazing! The staff was very very accommodating and sweet and she made the experience all the better! We did a flight paired with food and it was the best! Love love loved my experience and cannot wait to return with friends and family! Also the wine was very yummy! It had me drinking and enjoying wine types I typically don't like! Highly recommend!

10/10 recommend this beautiful winery! The service is phenomenal. Courtney was super sweet and was very knowledgeable about the wine she was serving. The wine was delicious. Reasonably priced. The view was insanely beautiful and had a peaceful atmosphere. They have adorable dogs on site and the charcuterie board was the perfect portion for 2 people. If you are visiting this area, I recommend this winery to all!

Our host was very friendly and shared great information about the wines and winery, which made the tasting even more enjoyable. I was disappointed that we had to cut our tasting short because we had a dinner reservation to get to--I could have happily stayed longer! My favorite wine was the Fumé Blanc, and with the member discount, it was an incredible value at just $13.20 a bottle. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and weren't able to purchase any wine before we had to leave. The combination of great wine, stunning scenery, and genuine hospitality makes Ferrari-Carano a place I'd gladly visit again.

We would definitely recommend this experience and can't wait to come back!

May 6, 2025 - Cloverdale…read more This was our second visit to this winery, and it was just as lovely as our first visit. It's a family-owned winery, and very down to earth. Dog-friendly. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Tilley, a rescued Aussie Cattle Dog. I LOVE that they list her as one of the team members on their website. There is a large tasting room, and an outdoor covered patio on a terrace overlooking the vineyard with amazing views. Once we chose where we wanted to sit, our host, Christy, gave us a complementary taste of rose'. The tasting fee is $20 per person, waived with a two-bottle purchase. The tasting menu is mostly reds, but started with a Viognier. We were then offered the chance to try any white that they had open. Such a relaxing and, really, a perfect wine tasting experience. Christy is friendly and knowledgeable. And then Jim Rickards (owner) came over and talked to us for a while. He is very personable, and had some wonderful stories. We shared conversation with him for quite a while. We enjoyed all the wines. We bought the rose' and the merlot. Prices range from $30-$39 for the whites, and from $35-$63 for the reds.

We were not disappointed with our return. For us, the setting is key. This is a working farm. It is old. It is rustic. There is a cat wandering the property as well as a charming small dog, Betty. Vines climb up the porch offering shade and charm. The furniture is well used. Maybe the paint is chipped on the table. Authentic farmhouse simplicity permeates the atmosphere at Preston. There isn't one ounce of pretension. We made our tasting reservation online and brought a simple lunch of cheese, fruit and a baguette. Sitting on the old covered porch on a wicker loveseat, we laid out our meal on the vintage white-painted table. We tasted 5 or 6 wines and purchased 4 of them. No hard sell here. No rush. Just a memorable, relaxing, glorious day in Sonoma County that harkens to another time of restraint and modesty. For us, the beauty of Preston is in its rustic nature. If that appeals to you too, bring a lunch and drink in the beauty of country life. It's as authentic as it gets.

Also, although some had umbrellas, they were not adjustable and we ended up in bright sun for quite awhile. We decided to move to another table with a small amount of shade but then we were offered a table on the covered porch of the building, which was nice. It doesn't seem unreasonable to expect a winery to provide comfortable seating for their paying tasters. The wines were tasty but unexceptional. There were also no decent food options available, except for some slightly stale bread and olive oil. Service was good, though. All in all, we regretted our visit.
