They also have it set up where you can play bocce ball or you can sit in Adirondack chairs to sip your wines. The building that they have for events is an original building. I can't remember the year, but it was 1800 something which is a great backdrop to your relaxing with a glass of wine. We ended up here because we decided to pick a random vineyard to try while we were in Healdsburg. I signed up for a tasting and noted that it was my birthday that we were celebrating. When we arrived, they had a special treat for us, a glass of their sparkling Brut which was delicious! Because it was my birthday they set us up in the tasting room in the photo I have attached which is also a special treat! The view from this room was spectacular overlooking their expanse of vineyards and Mount Saint Helena!! Tonya was amazing! She guided us through all of our tastings, which actually was quite a few at this particular vineyard. And we even got super lucky that the founders son, who now runs, the vineyard was there he even stopped by to chat with us for a bit! Another thing that I really liked about this tasting as they give you snacks to pair with the wines throughout your tasting but you can also buy larger snacks if you wish. My husband and I agreed that the Cabernet Franc and the Primitivo were our favorites! Another fun thing about this vineyard is they make and sell their own olive oil. We, of course, joined the membership ordered a case of wine and took home some olive oil! It was a fantastic day!

We had the pleasure of being served by Tanya, who exuded good vibes and greatly upleveled our tasting experience with her presence. She was a treasure trove of information, from explaining the geography of the wine regions to the history of the Trione family. It also happened to be a Thursday in September which coincided with their Sip into the Weekend program, a complimentary tasting of 2 wines of your choice, plus a welcome splash of rose...great value. A few marks off for the quality of the wines but that's to be expected for an intro level comp tasting. Overall, the service and experience were fantastic and we will be back for a proper tasting in the near future!

The winery is on top of a hill, so the patio has gorgeous views of the Alexander Valley. We had a preset tasting of their Chardonnay, Merlot and Cab. We called the Robert Young estate and were able to seat us for a tasting! When we arrived the hostess gave us a splash of their sauvignon blanc and sat us right away. The list of tastings they had were pretty good; I believe it was a chardonnay, merlot, and 2 cabernet sauvignon. Tyler was a great host! He gave us a little history with the estate, and answered all of our questions (we're still new to wine). Although we came a little later, we did not feel rushed at all. The estate looks really nice overlooking the valley. I definitely recommend giving a visit to this Winery if you're in Sonoma!

When we arrived, we saw a florist van and thought "oh no, another event" but a member of their team greeted us in the parking lot so we didn't get scared off. Although they had a wedding starting in about an hour and a half, we were warmly welcomed to visit them, taste the wine, and hangout for a bit. One of the most unique parts about their wines were that they came from different areas across California, therefore allowing the different varietals to grow in the soil and climate where they'd succeed. We really enjoyed their rose as it was a true dry rose, and something very different from what we'd experienced before. I wish we could've spent more time there exploring their gardens and learning their history, but we didn't want to be in the way. We will return!

Visited during the warmer months, which allowed me to experience the outdoor area, so cannot comment on the indoor setting. With expansive seating and wonderful views of the vineyard, it was already a win in my books. Fast forward to the host and wines. The host was extremely down to earth and offered a vast knowledge of the wines and the history of the property. She took her time going through each wine, but did not burden or stand near by, which some wineries may tend to do. The wine itself was good, I'd say most of the tasting fit my palette, but there were some wines that I was not too fond of. As for the pricing, it is affordable compared to other wineries in the area, so that's a plus. I'd happily revisit again in the future to try some future vintages!

A tasting worth the drive -- and one we'll remember for years…read more We first met the Mercury team at a recent event in Sausalito and could immediately tell they were offering more than just wine -- there was artistry and playfulness behind every pour. We knew we had to experience their tasting room in Geyserville, and it did not disappoint. In fact, it was the best tasting we've had since 2012 -- hands down. The Vibe The moment we walked into the tasting room, we felt completely welcomed. The energy was light, engaging, and genuine. This wasn't your typical stiff, scripted tasting -- it felt more like visiting a friend who just happens to be incredibly passionate (and knowledgeable) about exceptional wine. You don't just taste here; you connect, laugh, and learn something cool along the way. The Wines Each pour had personality -- creative blends, bold structure, and something memorable in every glass. We ended up taking home a few bottles that are already earmarked for upcoming holiday dinners: 2023 Skins - an orange Chardonnay that stopped us in our tracks. Golden, aromatic, and layered with apricot, pear, and tropical brightness. It's ancient in method but totally modern in vibe -- unlike anything we've had before. 2021 Freddie Rosé - somewhere between a rosé and a light red. Beautiful ruby color, bright cherry, tart quince, and a juicy finish. A standout for its structure and fun factor. 2021 Syrah (Pigoni Vineyard) - deep, rich, and elegant. Cherries, vanilla, and a touch of cocoa. Smooth from start to finish -- the kind of Syrah that feels both grounded and luxurious. 2021 Rocket - a red blend with complexity and finesse. Every sip revealed something new -- cassis, plum, dark cherry. A fantastic wine for a slow evening and good conversation. 2021 Zinfandel (North Coast) - bold and festive, perfect for chilly nights or hearty meals. The kind of Zin that reminds you why the grape got famous in the first place. Each wine told its own story, but together they also reflect the creativity and boldness of the Mercury team. It's not just about making wine -- it's about playing with tradition and making it personal. The Experience This is what tasting should feel like: casual, elevated, and full of joy. You'll laugh, you'll sip, and you'll probably linger longer than you planned. We're already talking about coming back -- not just to try new wines, but to keep this experience going. Because at Mercury, it's not just about what's in the glass -- it's about the people, the energy, and the memories you take with you. Thank you to the whole Mercury team for making our day! We came for the wine and left with so much more.
