We had a really rough stay at this location. When we first arrived it was clear that they were renovating the location, the construction crew did a poor job of cleaning up after themselves as there was sheet rock dust all over the entryways. Fine, not a big deal. However when we got into our room we found nothing but issues. The door knob in the bathroom wasnt bolted on all the way and the pillows on the bed looked like they had been washed and dried and all of the stuffing had gone to one end of the pillowcases so they were just hard lumps about half the size of a normal pillowcase. Obviously I woke up with a headache and need for a chiropractor. Second the toilet was running when flushed. We jiggle the handle to make it stop running but then it leaked all over the floor. We tried to call the front desk but of course the phone was not operational. We went down and asked the girl for more towels since i had to use them all to clean the floor. She said that they had no more clean towels and that she was the only one in the entire building, no maintenance no room service, nothing, but she would make a note about the toilet for them to fix in the morning. The following day We were out of our room all day. When we came back the toilet was still running and the entire bathroom and entryway floor was completely flooded. We had no room service and never got the new towels. At this point it was 9 o'clock at Night so we went back down To the desk. All they could do was have us switch rooms, which was a huge inconvenience since we have a one-year-old who we were trying to get to bed and then had to stop and move everything down the hall. In this room the pillows were slightly better although at this point we had already went to Walmart and bought our own pillows just so we could sleep Somewhat comfortably. It's not like it was a cheap stay either, two nights cost us almost $400. Super disappointing and total waste of money. read more

The two night stay was worth the money. My family and I drove down to Corning, NY for the Canadian long weekend to visit the state parks and the Corning Glass Museum. I booked the hotel through Hotels.com for $99 per night. I was sold on the location and price. The hotel was beside a gas station so we did not worry about finding a place to fill up, especially before we left to drive back to Canada. It was also a short drive to the museum, Walmart and restaurants. The hotel is fairly large and can accommodate a lot of patrons, plenty of spots for parking. The hotel hosted a prom the first night we were there so the hotel was booked to close to capacity. The second night was the complete opposite, only about 15 to 20 rooms were occupied. The staff were attentive and welcoming. I asked if I would hear the noise from the party right before I checked in and the staff said that if we could hear the music, she would be glad to help us switch rooms. We couldn't near the noise, but the staff even called our rooms shortly after we settled in to see if we were ok with the noise levels. The room was larger than I imagined. It had a mini fridge too! The room I stayed in did not have a microwave, but another room we booked had one. So if you plan on using a microwave on your trip, be sure to ask when you check in! The complimentary internet was fantastic - no complaints there. The complimentary breakfast was underwhelming. Not a lot of selection, just the basic cereal, coffee, sausages, toast, waffles. Definitely less variety compared to the other Ramada's I have visited before in the US. Overall lovely weekend and would stay at this location again. read more

So disappointing...as my wife and I had stayed here once before for New Year's when Rust was the entertainment for the evening. We know the pandemic has played hell all across the board with many businesses, but that doesn't mean there should be lapses in communication among staff or inattentive staff members when it comes to squaring away the details of a customer's stay. We booked and paid for three nights ( our printout receipt even reflected this!). On the morning of what would've been the third night; our room phone rings and it's the front desk wondering if we were staying or leaving. Confused, I assured her we were booked for a third night and had receipt proof....she checked and apparently we were only booked for two nights with no explanation for the goof. My wife was working (online work...and even upon calling front desk for password info earlier that morning, they couldn't bring this to our attention at that time!!?), and now we were scrambling to find out proof of a paid third evening! I intoned that due to THEIR clerical error, we shouldn't have had to do anything...to which she retorted if we didn't square the matter by leaving or paying for the extra day that we'd be "..removed." Imagine that!! Even though we had the online help, we couldn't verify our account to reflect the balance to prove what we paid for (or didn't). It's only in the last hour that we saw an adjustment was indeed made for the two nights we stayed...for which...fine. But sweet Lord...how does anyone get "...two nights" screwed up with "...three nights!?". And THEN, print up a receipt reflecting that very arrangement of three nights paid for...only to have the staff that took over on following shifts and days see that it was booked for two!? Now, in all fairness, if there was or even MIGHT'VE BEEN an issue with our debit card (for which, we really don't think it was about that)... don't you think they'd alert us to that within the first HOUR of night one!? To kill a bit of suspense, they didn't...nor did it come up Sunday morning either! Again, I know this pandemic has been hell on businesses these last 14-15 months. But overall, this place needs serious updating...the parking lot is quite torn up (presumably from plows from winter clearance), the carpeting in the hallways looks like it's been there since 1982, and the king size bed we "slept" on has reached Viking-funeral status long before we booked that room...lumpy and very unforgiving on the human lumbar system is a mild way of putting it! Even the lobby floor needs replacing...and while I get this isn't easily done when business has been compromised...some things should never suffer...inattentive and uncommunicative staffing resulting in threats to "... remove" us!?? Even with the knowledge we weren't screwed out of any money, we've clearly got new reservations about ever staying here again...shame really, as we rather enjoyed the first stay a couple of years ago! read more

This hotel is rundown and smells. It starts with going to your room on second floor. Take stairs in lobby where you end up Near conference room(?) furniture in hall Is OLD and carpet has not been vacuumed in a long time. Go to your room? Walk down six steps! Again, vacuum, clean anyone? When you finally get to your room and open the door, the musty smell slaps you in the face. Carefully navigate the stains on the carpet, and watch out for the stains on the sheets and bedspread. Skip this hotel. For the cost, go to a better one. You will be glad you did. read more

I'll start by saying I have had better for less, but the king bed was comfortable and the room was clean so that is always a plus. The breakfast was included in the price, not amazing but not terrible either. A bit of a wait if you want waffles. Random weird thing, put the do not disturb on the door, found it gone when I went to breakfast and I was pretty loud about it to my wife, the housekeeper was nearby.... so, it reappeared when I returned.... still, not sure why they took it off in the first place. I am betwixt. I cannot seem to review this hotel with the same candidness I have reviewed others, without feeling remorse. I truly wanted to give it one star, and yet I could not. In many ways I applaud the management for making valiant attempts at being a good hotel, however, they mostly missed the mark. In some ways I feel like a music critic attending their child's piano recital. Sure, I cringe and can identify every mistake, but I recognize the effort and hope they diligently strive for better. The hotel is conveniently located right on top of a gas station and at least a dozen restaurants are within three miles. An Aldi's, Wal-Mart, and Wegmans are very close for whatever item you may have forgotten or need. The wifi was consistently strong. Husband and I both were able to use our devices simultaneously without any issue. The staff were, for the most part, courteous and professional. Marty, the head of catering and special events was delightful, and Taylor, working the front desk, was charming. We found the mattresses (two doubles in our room) to be comfortable. (This is, of course, subjective.) They were free of stains and discoloration. There was a stain on one of the coverlets, and another stain on the fitted sheet. The heating/AC units worked effectively. There were three lamps in the room, and while we originally thought the room was still very dimly, lit, we realized they had three-way light bulbs. Not typical three ways where it brightens each time you hit the switch. The light turned off between intervals. Most guests probably don't realize this. Documentation would have been appreciated. The iron needed to be replaced. The faceplate was scratched and it spit out streams of water when first used. I knew from previous hotel stays to test it out on a towel. This prevented my husband's shirts from being decorated with lovely bits of charred remnants from other users. The bathroom was an adventure. Tinier than many a hotel bathroom in Europe! The door swung dangerously close to the toilet, and one was forced to do a little side-step to open and close it. Among my observations: broken tiled floor, stained and missing grout, tarnished and rusted hardware, discolored bathtub, yellowing caulk, soiled walls, absence of exhaust fan, and a non-functioning ceiling light. Our toilet handle literally broke. We had to lift the tank and plunge our hands in the cold water to manually flush it. On the bright side, the water pressure was excellent. While there is an elevator, one still has to take 10 steep, uneven steps to the corridor where the second floor rooms are located. If one has mobility issues or cumbersome luggage this will most definitely be a challenge. The carpeting on these steps needs to be replaced. It is clear the Rand Room (meeting room) on the second floor has seen better days and has hosted too many parties. It is in desperate need of a competent handyperson and housekeeper. Normally I don't focus on hotel ceilings, but this one is a doozie! There are several water-stained tiles and the air vents are dusty maintaining relics of former parties. The wallpaper is peeling and/or missing. The paint is chipped. Areas of the wooden dance floor and rug are in need of repair. Wherever one turned their head, most likely they would see something that would not be acceptable at competing hotels. Not all is lost though, the crystal ceiling fixtures were elegant and an aesthetic oasis. Husband and I were there for a conference and ate five meals there. The food ranged from excellent to adequate. The conference was fabulous. Perhaps if it were not, my review would have a much more negative tone. While the hotel has all the accoutrement of a decent class hotel, it appears to have been put together hurriedly, in the ancient past, with little attention to detail. One gets the sense that the objective was not excellence, but rather to simply get by. read more

The hotel is in need of some T.L.C as you can tell it has been a while since it has been updated. Rooms where clean and large for the price tag. As a previous review mentioned the bathrooms don't have an exhaust fan so after a shower the whole bathroom is wet and stays so for a while. As for a security as a previous review mentioned none of the security doors work so anyone can just walk in at any time. That reviewer spoke to a manager at least two months before my stay and said they were working on it, but obviously nothing has been done. read more

We were told the only thing that Covid changed was that you had to wear a mask when not in room. When we arrived we found inhouse restaurant, the pool, the fitness center and the business center was all closed. The buffet breakfast was "replaced" by a granola bar and a grape juice. No maid service. Light in bathroom took 5-10 minutes to turn on. Exhaust fan did not work. Sink drained extremely slow. read more

An ok decent priced hotel in the Corning NY area. It's 2 to 3 miles away from Corning Glass museum and nightly rates were $100 less per night then near the museum. The beds were fantastic. Most people know that I don't give out my 5 star reviews. I stayed at this hotel while my road trip to Canada, NYC and DC. We arrived here late and they kept all our paper work ready along with keys so that we can check in and are in our room in no time. I like it when the check-in process is almost timeless. The front desk lady was friendly and she also suggested that they have a bar on the facility if we decided to get a drink. Now, that's very convent where we don't have to worry about drinking and driving. I was also told that they have hot breakfast in the morning until 9:30 or 10a. So, we check-in and get to our room we obviously had non-smoking room and surprisingly enough, our room didn't smell like smoke like the other reviewer mention. Anyways, so the first thing I did was to check out all of our rooms and make sure everything was in order in-case we needed to change the rooms and everything was fine. The beds were comfortable so we had a great night sleep after long drive and kids had fun watching cartoon in the morning. I remember front desk clerk had said they have hot breakfast so I went down stairs to check it out and they were not kidding. They had scrambled eggs, roasted red potatoes, biscuits, sausage, bacon, fruits, lemon cake and milk/serials along with hot coffee and tea. We were running little late past check out time so I called in and told the front desk that we would be running 30 minutes late. She said no problem; just leave the keys in the room our come to front desk if you would like to check out with receipt. Now, this is a Ramada hotel and I believe it was to its standard. The bar/restaurant is so clean and run by the nicest people. Great band too - we almost never go to bars but the music pulled us in! Drinks are well priced. We're also staying at the hotel and it's very nice - Clean, no normal hotel 'musty' smell, and big rooms. Overall it's an awesome place to stay or even to just stop by!! read more

Only half of the menu was available at the restaurant, the lemonade had a weird thick liquid in it almost like saliva. Not to mention the straight up BOOGER in my water. (See image) The lemonade also tasted like there was chemicals in it. My friends door was already open when we checked in and the rooms smell really bad. Def mildew. Low quality building in the inside. The water tastes so bad to the point where I had to grab my own water from my room to enjoy my meal. The small foods were really good such as mozzarella sticks and cheesy breads. They were out of lettuce which was in most of the foods. The bacon tasted really chewy and rotten on the burger. The pretzel bun on the burger tastes like straight up salt but there was no salt in sight?!? I would give this hotel a zero if it was possible. The bad really outweighs the good. If you plan on staying for more than 1 night, then go to a Hilton. They have free cookies. read more

The lemonade was disgusting. There was only half of the menu available, although my mozzarella sticks were pretty good (highly recommend). Anyways, there was literally a freaking booger in my lemonade. The Ramada has clean rooms, but they smell bad. Only come here if ur not planning on eating. I would give it 0 stars if I could. When we arrived our room was already open, mad sketch. While the room wasn't double booked it still concerned us. Some doors do not close completely and there is no way that you can get the rolling thing to get all of your luggage into the room. You have to go up and down stair to get anywhere so this is not a good place at all for anyone traveling in a wheelchair. There is only one elevator and there are still stairs from those. Back to the food, the water tasted like it was from the hose of an abandoned gas station. I do not recommend staying in this hotel if you wish to stay for more than one night. If you are in this area, please stay at the Hampton. Thank you. Btw the room keys don't work. read more

This place was equally good and bad. First off their restaurant "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" was a bit over charged for the quality of the food, but the bartender was so sweet and really attentive to my daughter's dairy allergy. We talked to Steve upon arriving (who was really funny and nice) and told him our name and that we had our cat in the car and needed to let him out. He either didn't hear us or didn't think anything of it (the hotel is supposed to be pet friendly) and we checked in and settled in for the night, got dinner and when we went to bed the bed was like a brick! My husband woke up in massive pain and when speaking to Stan at the front desk about getting better beds, mentioned our cat and was told that they were not told about this. We did mention it to Steve when we came in and when we booked the appointment with AAA saw ALL the notes our travel agent posted after everything was set and paid for 2 1/2 weeks before the trip. Stan told my husband that even if we change rooms we couldn't leave our animal in the room alone, even if placed in a kennel within the room and he told us to keep our cat in the car while we visited. Our car that morning was almost 90° and it is illegal to leave any animal in a vehicle all day. So not only did he ask us to break a law, but also put our family pet in harms way. I was so upset, so I talked to him myself and managed to work it out. Our next problem was that only one entrance was secured. You can open all the doors around the clock without a key card, which was also a bit unnerving. We had the opportunity to meet Keiana(sorry if I misspelled your name hun) who was so very helpful and very well informed about the areas activities and places to visit. She was so sweet and bent over backwards to help us with our needs. For a few days after the room change, everything was fine. The cleaning staff were very understandable and worked with us so our room would be cleaned before we left so we didn't have to keep our cat Kenneled all day, which we really appreciated. The last thing that happened that kept us from giving 3 or 4 stars was we found a piece of wood with staples sticking out of it that nearly went through my foot. My cat was playing with it and I saw it hit my foot just as I was about to step on it. God forbid it did go through my foot, or god forbid my daughter's or husband's foot. I was mortified! The staples stuck out between a quarter to a half inch from the piece of wood. I will add the picture of this to show you. When showing the front desk assistant he asked if I actually stepped on it, and when I said I started to but saw it before I put my foot down all the way, he shrugged and took it. The manager wanted to check in with us about our stay which I really appreciated, but I was at the point of frustration at that point, thanked him for his concern and questioned him about the doors not being secure and he said he is working on it. They did fortunately follow state law and allow us to lock up our valuables and got them as we needed. Our stay was a bit up and down, and recommend that: 1. You call ahead to see if their security doors work if security matters to you. 2. Double check before you arrive that they know you have a pet even if you travel agent tells them, because it can get lost in translation (more my fault then theirs, to assume they got all the information) 3. You specify what kind of bed is best for you if you have a bad back or are older so you can be comfortable and give them enough time to book it for you and 4. Check your room to make sure it is free of anything potentially hazardous. Most of the employees were really nice, but I will probably just stick to the hotel I have been used to using in Corning. Old dingy and smelly. It should have been remodeled years ago, or by this point demolished and start again. The bed probably should have been replaced 10 years ago and the pillows were small lumps of stuffing folded over double in the pillowcase. Our room smelled like feet. We tried to crank up the air conditioner to see if that helped but then the room was just cold and smelling like feet. We did not stay the night. The Hampton Inn nearby is brand new, clean, and 100% better. read more

Hotel is just OK. Lobby area looked nice, but the rest of the hotel is a mishap of numerous poorly executed updates. Peeling wall paper is painted over, and can still see through the one coat of paint. Bathroom was tiny, and had no exhaust fan. Continental breakfast was poor. I did like that they had a bar and restaurant on site. The shower head was nice, and the water was very hot and endless. They do allow dogs (didn't mind- saw lots of dogs). Don't feel it was worth $75 per night. I would say $59 would've been fair as it reminded me of a Motel 6 or Econolodge. read more
