Brought my sister's Honda accord in for check engine light on and no power. Jose did some in depth diagnosing while I watched. Reading codes, then pulling a spart plug and with a cylinder inspection scope, showing me a coolant leak meaning it needed a head gasket. Being a retired mechanic myself, I was very impressed with his knowledge. He quoted me a price that was much lower than 2 other shops. He estimated a time of completion and was completed on time. When my sister went to pick up her car, he had the vehicle washed and vacuumed. He took the time to explain to her exactly what was done in detail. Thank you to Jose for a great experience and will definitely refer you to everyone read more

Found out about RAM Auto Repair through countless positive customer reviews on Yelp. I went there urgently today after a busy morning schedule because my Camry was leaking coolant and had fluctuating dashboard temperature readings thinking it was just low coolant levels from the get go. I ran a diagnostic tool on it and saw code P0117 come up. I met wonderful Jose and his crew who were very knowledgeable about my immediate check engine light issue and they were kind enough to help me through it all. They diagnosed my issue to being a cracked radiator I would have never noticed. Then they were able to fully replace the radiator with a premium one as well as the thermostat connected to it the very same day in just a few hours, and for a great price including labor. I can't stress it enough what a total lifesaver they were. I will definitely be returning there at their new location in Covina for additional modification/repair services in the future. Thank you very much good sir! read more

The best auto service in the neighborhood! Good job nice people fair price :) Trust them on my car.

These guys are awesome. I brought my Prius in because I was trying to find out how much for a engine rebuild because another mechanic said I needed a rebuild. He asked me why did I think that and I told him so he said I can look at it and find out what's the real problem and it only cost me a few hundred dollars and she's running fine, Jose and his nephew are good and honest read more

Quick and simple. No sneaky extras whenever I go in. I forgot the name of the man who always helps me. When I go back I'll update (:

Been going to RAM for years, but when I got my new car I was so committed to taking it back to the dealer for the regular maintenance. After 5+ years taking my car to the dealer, I'm back to RAM for my regular maintenance. Came in today on a whim and Rene said it was a slow day! Awesome! Oil change done today in less than 30-minutes! Setting an appointment for some additional maintenance is always easy. But he does get busy. Very reasonable prices. My parents even started going here when I told them about this place. Rene is a great guy to deal with and always accommodating. Back when I had my Honda Prelude, he took good care of her really well. Now he's taking care of my Acura TL. The shop is tucked away in the back behind the car wash, so don't just pass it up. And if you need a car wash, the car was business out in front is convenient. If you're hungry while waiting for your car, the some great hole in the wall places in the same location and across the street. read more

It was thanksgiving eve 2022. My front wheel bearing of my truck just got so bad that steering was almost not manageable. I went here because I have heard good reviews from them in the past and so I decided to check them out. I was told it would take a few days to get the parts ordered but they called me that same afternoon and told me my truck was done! They were very fast, honest, and 10 times more affordable than my old mechanic who was too busy to see me due to the holiday. Ram is now my new place!!! read more

I highly recommend Ram Auto Repair to anyone and everyone who is looking for a good shop with great mechanics who don't bs you and don't take advantage of customers. They're friendly, helpful, and provide great service. I've been bringing my vehicles to RAM for some time and will continue to do so. The owner Jose is very experienced and helpful as is Ricardo. The owner puts on a real "nice guy" image, tells you about his family, etc. Then he tells you he's going to do a workaround that the dealer won't do and charge you much less. Then follows the problems. Problem after problem after problem. He'll keep taking your money until you stop giving it to him. Don't be fooled by the nice guy routine. read more

Came here after a referral from another mechanic in Chino told me that Renee works on hybrid vehicles. I have an 06 Toyota Prius. Renee (the owner) took my car in and told me he would call me the next day to tell me his diagnosis. Next day he calls and says $300 just to "dig into" the car, not FIX it, just look at it. Hesitantly, I oblige, what else could I say? Next day he calls and says $625 for the repairs; "Replace cam sensor". He charged me over $600 to replace one sensor; again I obliged since he is the mechanic and "knows" hybrids. I pick up my Prius and start heading home; less than 15 miles and half an hour later, the red triangle (something like a check engine light) on my dash goes on, the same problem that brought me to Renee's shop in the first place. I immediately call him and he says that that's a separate issue. When I get home and turn off the car, it wouldn't turn back on. I told Renee and he said that it would "initially" cost $700 more to fix. He misdiagnosed the problem in my car and he knows it. He didn't have to replace the cam sensor and dodged the problem altogether. As far as I'm concerned he is incompetent with hybrids and is a CROOK. He asked me to send the VIN so he could research any issues but even after sending him a pic of the VIN, he just ignored me and never even had the decency to text/call me back. Renee and RAM AUTO is a crook of a place to go to. DO NOT GO HERE. Bad business, incompetent hybrid mechanics, wolf in sheeps clothing. Don't let the nice guy attitude fool you. He will rob you, just look at the other reviews. read more

I called in to see if I can come in for a tuneup on my chariot. Rene tells me to come in and he will check it out. Coming from a different mechanic, I was quoted a cheaper price. Showed up to Rene's and he took me in right away. He was actually on the way to lunch so I waited for him. His lunch was over and he had gotten me an Arizona Green Tea for waiting (and it was a hot day)!! He diagnosed my car and quoted me for new spark plugs and like always, he educates me on the item and why I will need to fix it in order for something else to work. I have been coming here for a year now, by referral too. Before I was going to Sears Auto Center. (So glad they closed down!) And I am so glad I did. Rene is practically family to me and my family! He has amazing prices and does an amazing job at all that he does. My driver side mirror was hanging from the hingle from when my car was being towed. He had put an epoxy to make it stay at no charge! This man is truly amazing. Also, before I forget, before being served, a customer before me had wrote a check for the service and Rene didnt accept it (Sign clear shows no checks accepted), the customer started wailing and causing a scene. Rene handled the issue with so much professionalism, it was truly inspiring! The customer still was trying to give him the check and Rene told him to leave and he wont do work for him anymore at free cost! Its not the fact about the money, more so that he handled it amazingly. Props to you, Rene! read more

Rene is the owner of the shop and he is very friendly and professional. I was recommended by my fiance to go to him 5+ years ago and have been going to him ever since. I've introduced my sister to go there as well and we both feel comfortable having him take care of our car. He is always very busy so it is best to give him a call and check with his schedule. If you ask him to show you your old parts he will take the time. I go to him when my car has problems and even for my routine maintenance. He specializes in Toyota's and Honda's but also works on everything else. He also buys/sells older Honda's/Toyota's. I would definitely recommend people to go to him for your car problems! Btw, they are closed on Sunday's and Monday's, but open half days on Saturdays. read more

Seriously no nonsense. Rene and his team gets down to business and really tells you what you need to fix. This guy has a really good heart and would never try to pull a fast one. Don't just only get service, fix all those small things that has been bugging you. Honest, fair, friendly, and reasonable on the prices. Rene is the man. He went above and beyond to fix my car quickly at a good price. Never felt like he was ever being the slightest bit shady. Rene is the owner and exemplifies what Walnut is all about. Friendly, neighborly, and honest service. He's been taking care of my and my family's cars for as long as I can remember. You don't feel like you're being ripped off because he takes the time to show you what needs to be taken care of and lets you shop around for other prices so that he can match it or go lower. Don't know a thing about my car but Rene makes sure you learn something about your car every time you see him. Because of him, I know how the brake pads, radiator, condenser, transmission, and the radio works. He helps add manly-points to my life. Btw, regulars get free oil change/maintenance check. If you don't have a ride back home or can't pick up the car after a day of repairs, they'll be more than happy to drive you. read more

Rene is so wonderful--an honest and knowledgeable mechanic is truly hard to find but that is exactly what he is! He's an absolute master at what he does and explains everything clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. He gives it to your straight-telling me the fixes I could wait on vs. what needed attention sooner. I drive a Prius hybrid and it was hard finding a person who knows how to work on it. Was introduced to this place by dad and Rene is very friendly the service is great and he seemed like a dad type, telling me that if i need anything (car wise) or have any questions or any weird sound that i can just call. my service here overall was great and i felt comfortable but after getting my car serviced for my car turning off unexpectiedly in april. the following week i got my car checked and serviced for that. after getting it serviced i was driving home and turned on my AC, I turned it on and nothing would blow out. no hot or cold air, i called and he advised me to just come back and he wud take a look at it. after he looked at it i was told my compressor wasnt working. so idk what to think of this incident. he says that none of his guys touched that part of my car but how did i go in with a perfectly fine AC and leave with it not working? idk, just kinda weird, customer service however was great i just dnt know about that incident. read more

I have been a customer of this establishmen for over 12 years. I have alway been impressed with thier customer service and overall knowledge of repair . I have had Mercedes , Dodge , Chevy , Chrystler Toyota and Honda repaired at this establishment all with excellent results. I have never felt over charged or taken for a ride .Recently i moved to Corona from Walnut i tried other mechanics and had nothing but problems ranging from replacing parts that were not bad to having to return multiple times for the samr problems only to get told i would have to pay more money to fix the problem UNDER WARRANTY! I was told it would cost about $780.00 to fix my wehicle could be more they would have to dig into it further. I had enough i called Rene and told him the situation, he then explained how the parts in question worked and that it had a 1% chance of failing then said bring it in . Three hours later the car ran perfect and i was charges only $250.00. I will never go anywhere else again and send everybody to Ram Auto Repair read more
