Swie is the best mechanic around! He has a lot of experience and knowledge about cars. He is very honest and charges me better prices than other shops. Been coming here for over 10 years and can't think of going to another mechanic. read more

They do quality work but make sure to get a quote in writing before letting them work on your vehicle. I came here for brake job and thought it was one price but ended up being a different price. Norm Reeves quoted me $646 for all 4 wheels with new pads and resurfacing the rotors. This place charged me $640 without the pads. I supplied the pads because I get free replacements from Auto Zone so I thought the price was only $500 but when the job was done they charged me $640. So an additional $140 ($35 per rotor for resurfacing) because they have to send them out to get resurfaced somewhere else. Hye Tech Auto Repair in Covina quoted me $500 with resurfacing the rotors because they can do it in-house. If it wasn't for the price confusion I would have given them 5 stars. read more

Moved to town and was looking for a good/trusted mechanic and found this since it was close to where I live. Friendly staff and services are affordable (dealership charge too much). Just make an appointment and you're set. Will definitely come back here for future car maintenance. read more

Swie is super friendly and such an honest mechanic. He is one of those mechanics that comes along so rarely that we will keep our Honda so we can keep our mechanic! We just had major work done and he went over all that he did in detail so I could see what was done and when one thing came up, he called to let me know. I can't recommend this mechanic enough. read more

My wife and I have been taking our cars to SHS HONDA ACURA for the last 10+ years. The customer service and labor is always honest and reasonably priced. From oil changes to engine swaps, Swie has always been there for us. Call to schedule before coming by, time slots are required. We would recommend SHS to anyone looking for a great mechanic ! Thank you SHS ! read more

Shop says Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am-5:00pm , waited for someone to show up until 9:15am on a Friday. The guy next door simply said "If he doesn't show up before 9:30am he won't work today. This is an Unreliable shop schedule, maybe mechanic service is great but customer satisfaction is awful. Took the day off work to come here since it was recommended, won't come back. No one even answers the phone. I DECIDED TO GO TO H&A Honda/Acura service! Extremely honest and reliable. Family owned shop read more

Best service for my Acura TSX. I have been to many mechanics and Swie is so far the best. Very honest, reliable and his prices are reasonable. From now on, I'ld be going to this shop. read more

Swie is great! Brought my 2009 Honda Civic to get back into shape for an out of state move. I felt it was reasonable for the quality work that is done. I trust his skills and experience and would recommend him to friends and family that are Honda owners. He took the time to show/explain to me the issues he saw in my car and finished all that work pretty quick. I've had my car for 15 years and I have no intention of buying a new one anytime soon. Thanks, Swie! read more

Hard to find a fair mechanic with in depth knowledge of Hondas. But look no further. SHS is a great place to get your Honda fixed. We had a difficult to diagnose issue and SHS came up with a plan. Replace the least expensive parts hoping it resolved the issue. If not, try the next part in the chain. Luckily we got it fixed with the first part. read more

Swie is the guy for Honda. For all the recent reviews, he was doing alternating weeks but I have no idea what his schedule is like now. I've been trusting him with my Honda Accord for probably five years now and he always does an excellent job. Better service and better price than dealerships, and Swie is great person also. read more

I've called this place multiple times, in the process of restoring my '95 Type II Legend, unfortunately none of my messages (dated back to Oct'20) have been returned. Would love to see if the work matches the reviews....silence of the lambs is the response I've gotten so far... read more

I have had my share of horrible mechanic experiences in Hawaii and I am new to the area so I was worried about having to take my car in. These reviews helped me decide to give Swie a try and I couldn't be happier with the job he did and the money he saved me. It is a relief to find a mechanic like this, who can be counted on and who is a great human being, super helpful and genuine. S000000o happy he is here! Thank you Swie!!! read more

I was told by my regular mechanic that my 1997 Honda Civic might possibly need a new engine. The fluid in in my radiator had to be replaced almost every couple of days and he suspected that it might have a crack in my engine block. I brought it to SHS and after he took my engine apart he discovered that a wrong gasket had been used. 500 miles later I have had no problems. read more

This review is long overdue. I am by no means a proflific Yelper. However, it is important that everyone knows how amazing SHS Auto is! Swie is hands down the best auto mechanic I've ever encountered. He's also a really nice guy. HE KNOWS HIS SHIT!!!! I've been going to SHS Auto for almost two years now. I found out about SHS the best possible way - YELP!!! hahaha Since then I've received excellent service here for years. As a matter of fact, my mom also loves Swie! You get a strong sense that he really loves his work. That comes through loud and clear with the zeal he takes in explaining exactly what is going on with your car and what he will be doing to fix it. And he is exceedingly knowledgeable when it comes to maintainance and repair on Hondas and Acuras. Every time I've come in to have work done, Swie has taken the time to break down how the parts work in whichever area needed work and discussed the best course of action, often giving options when applicable rather than only one possible way to go. I used to go to the dealer from my CRV and Accord and get the oil change with the "World Class Inspections" that always came back with a lot of things wrong lol (you know these dealers). I would take the paper to Swie he looked at it and the car and tell me what really needed to be done and what was Bullshit!! I love Swie his work ethic and customer service. read more

Swie is very knowledgeable. I feel very comfortable taking my Acura TL to Swie for oil changes and various checks. I am the girl who literally drove her 05' Camry til it blew up! So not wanting a repeat of that disastrous episode, I try to take better of my car. I will be the first to admit that I am not the greatest driver ever. My thoughts go something like this "was that a stop sign? Crap that was a speed bump? I wonder if I have enough space to make a turn without hitting the curb...oops I didn't" UH...what was that noise? Is that smell coming from my car? etc....therefore knowing the abuse that I sadly put my car through I go to Swie so that he can check my car thoroughly and helps me to keep it in great condition. Prices are reasonable so call and make your appointment. If you love your car you'll be glad you took it to Swie! read more

Seven years ago, I randomly stopped by SHS because I needed brakes. It was one of those "do now" or "die" situations. When I walked in, I felt very welcomed by Swie. He was warm, yet professional. As I waited for my car to be serviced, I noticed a few newspaper clippings in the waiting area. After reading the articles and finding out he had graduated with an engineering degree, my knees started trembling. I thought for sure my brakes were going to cost me a fortune. As I nervously waited, I couldn't help but look around the shop. Swie was diligently working on my car, and I could tell he was taking his time, and making sure everything was perfect. My nervousness subsided. I figured it would be worth the money; you get what you pay for, right? When my car was ready, he took me to the garage and explained everything he had done. I actually understood what he was telling me. He answered every question with patience and expertise. The best part of it all was the price. It wasn't at all expensive like I feared. He is very reasonable. I'm so glad I took a chance and walked into SHS. He's the only one who has touched my car for seven years, and it still runs perfectly. I'll have it for another ten years thanks to him. I've also gotten five other people to come here. My brother drives over an hour to bring his Honda to Swie. Oh, I almost forgot to mention my friend April. She was having air conditioning problems and took her car to the dealer. They told her it was going to cost $300. I told her about Swie, so she took it to him, and it turned out to be something minor. He charged her around $30. Unbelievable. When you find honesty, integrity, intelligence and friendliness in a business, you've found a RESORT for your car. I adore Swie. read more

Most reliable mechanic you will ever meet. He has taken care of my Acura TSX well. I love coming here after I get a large bill from a dealer service inspection of everything I MUST get done. This mechanic breaks it down to what's more important and the cost is a lot less than the dealer. No gimmicks here! read more

Siut is amazing...diagnosed and fixed my car the next day and charged a fair price. He did an excellent job and didn't upprice me!!!! Definitely going back for my Major service....i will NEVER go to the dealership again for service...i recommended you make an appt as he does certain types of maintenance on certain day....just an fyi!!! read more

Swie is the most reliable, professional, and trustworthy automotive mechanic we have ever met. My family and I have been a customer of SHS for over than 15+ years. This place is the ticket for your Acura and Honda needs. I recently purchased an off lease, low mileage Acura TSX from Carmax. I took the warranty for my new car and could easily take it to the dealer for all the recommended service, but thought I should try to find a reliable non-dealer mechanic that I can trust. I found SHS here on Yelp and decided to try this place, since it received great reviews and was close to where I live. I made my appointment for my first oil change and minor service milestone and was really confident with the mechanic's expertise and knowledge. Swie is the owner of the shop and showed me the dirty air filters that were all replaced and explained the importance of keeping this maintained and what parts of the car are affected by this. I asked about other parts of the car and when I should have certain things checked and replaced. I was educated about the running parts of the car and the importance of maintenance. I was told that my car was a great purchase and I shouldn't have any issues, so long as I keep up the maintenance. Previously, I owned a Honda accord and never had any major mechanical issues. I drove that car to 200k miles and really still no issues. I was coming up to replacing the clutch and the paint was starting fade with those white spots. And one of the pistons was starting to wear, so the oil would burn so much faster than normal. I had to check the oil at the end of every week to be sure that im not caught without any oil during my commutes. RIP my honda accord, you were the most reliable car ever! Hoping for the same reliability with my new acura. I think with Swie at the helm, we should be in good hands. read more

Swie is the best mechanic I have ever encountered in my many many years of owning a car. I've been his loyal costumer since around 2005!! He's the only mechanic I trust working on my cars. I started with a 2006 Honda Accord, to now a 2012 Prius & 2006 Acura TSX. Swie is very honest, his prices are justified for the superb quality of work that he provides and he always does a thorough checkup of your vehicle. I honestly would not trust anyone but him to work on my cars!! I've had times where I panicked cause an engine light turned on! He calms me down, tells me to bring in my car and he does his magic lol Your car is in the best hands at SHS Honda & Acura Specialist!!! read more

I was having issues with my 2008 Acura TL Type S starting and had a brand new battery installed and nothing. Had it towed to SHS and right off they diagnosed the problem which was a corroded battery cable and my mind was put at ease knowing my car was going to be in great experienced hands and the problem was taken care of the very next day since I did show up right when the ship was going to close. Highly recommended for the easiest of services to the most complex. Great guy great customer service. -Jose read more

I can't reccommend Swie and SHS Auto strongly enough! I drive all the way out from the SF Valley just to see him and it is totally 100% worth it! I actually look forward to taking my car in. If you are LOOKING for a BRIGHT and Energetic Individual who Knows EVERYTHING there is to know about a HONDA or ACURA and If you care about Honesty / Integrity and Being Treated Fairly Then You can't go Wrong with Swie at SHS Honda & Acura Service! After spending $800 on my 2004 Honda Element at one local auto repair shop and having had to return TWICE with the same problem that I had been told twice had been fixed, I was desperate. Coincidentally while relating my problem with my local repair shop to a Friend, She told me about the Excellent Service at SHS she had received when she went in with a similar problem. In spite of being 30 miles away I had to get my car working properly and decided to go. Swie saw me right away and Diagnosed my problem and within 3 hours had repaired my car and for the first time in many months my car was working like NEW. Swie has Won my complete confidence and should I have any other issues with my car, I will again drive the 30 miles to SHS for repairs. great mechanic! Tsui is very knowledgable about Honda Cars.

I have a 2005 Acura TSX and have been going to SHS Honda for the past 3 years. Swie has always been honest with whatever was going on with my car. The first time I took my car there he thoroughly inspected my car for a squeaking noise that I was hearing and he didn't charge me a dime. The other place I had previously taken it to wanted to charge me $600 to replace the shocks because according to them that's what was wrong with my car. Swie's recommendation was to observe the noise for a while because it could be something just needed a bit of grease and if it persists or gets worse he'll inspect it again. He was right, the noise went away after a few days. Swie has always done a great job at fixing and servicing my car. I don't really compare prices when it comes to my vehicle. A job not done right on a vehicle can be very costly. I prefer having peace of mind that my car is in great working condition than save 20 bucks and breakdown in the middle of nowhere. read more

When you need service done on your car, he can usually see you right away which is so nice. I never feel like I'm getting jipped when I go to him, and he explains things to me in a way I actually understand! And his invoices are so clear and concise and lays out all of his charges nicely.
