This Ralphs branch is up to date with not 4, but 6 self-checkouts. None of them were being used as of the time of our visit, but at least I won't need to worry about waiting so long to purchase anything. It is decorated with a unique layout including slanted aisles and a grapevine fence on top of one of the refrigerators and a structure that houses the wine. LOVE THIS RALPHS!!! it is so spacious and laid out to perfection. this location is open at all convenient times at 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM! there was never a time where i came and didn't receive help or a great selection of fresh foods, baked goods, flowers, balloons, etc. i highly recommend and commend them for the great store! This is a nicer Ralph's location. Not all are equal. They recently redecorated the store with new flooring and speciality gourmet food counters. This location is close to several other upscale grocery stores and they probably upgraded to remain competitive. While prices can be higher or lower than other stores, they do have a large selection. They also stock a fair amount of vegan products. I like the olive bar a lot. There is also a Starbucks counter in the store. The staff here are friendly and helpful. Lots of parking in the lot. They open early and close late and are open holidays, so this is a good place to go for last minute items. read more

This location has my highest praise, as opposed the one located in the Woodbury area. I find it remarkable the way they are able to deliver great service and quality produce during a pandemic. I'm giving this location 4 stars compared to my last visit a year ago! Seems as if things have changed for the better in the deli/hot bar area! I've had such great customer service lately! It's a total 360 of the bad service I've received! I am hooked on their soups and other hot bar items, I always get the same things LOL! One day I was looking for chicken noodle soup (they didn't have it) but a very friendly older employee came out and greeted me, he found me an alternative and had a great attitude! The younger employees who work at the hot bar aren't jerks like most young people LOL. They know what their doing and don't have an attitude. I come to Ralph's on a basis and I truly feel the service has been stepped up! The remodel matches up with the great service! I had THE BEST service at this Ralphs today and it was thanks to Bernie. I had a long list of ingredients to pick up and as I walked by he greeted myself and another lady asking if we needed help. I asked him to show me where the chili was and he walked me over to the aisle. Afterwards I was roaming around and had more question as to where I could get chili and chipotle pepper adobo sauce and he was so patient to go through aisles picking things I needed. He also asked others if they needed help and was pushing a cart full of items to put back. I have never had such great service at any grocery store. This store has been completely revamped! It's absolutely gorgeous, sparkly clean and well appointed. The caliber and quality of the products they carry seems to have improved as well. They are carrying the more unique alcohol products and mixers I used to have a hard time finding and their meat section has also bumped up a notch. There seems to be no lack of well trained helpful staff for when you need some help or have a question. Jose L the Sales Manager was right up front, available, and happy to help me with my shopping today. It's always a pleasure to deal with knowledgeable helpful customer service employees. Ralphs - They just redid their entire store and it's GORGEOUS!! - Grocery Near Me - Tustin, California

This review is for the Ralph's located in the shopping center at Jamboree and Irvine Blvd. in Tustin. Ralph's is not my usual grocery store as I prefer to purchase all organic foods from health food specific stores and local organic farmers. I do, however, stop into this store periodically with my mother when she shops. On my more recent visits, it has been nice to see that Ralph's has started offering an increasing number of organic foods as part of their new Simple Truth theme. While I was there last, I picked up a couple of apples, a red bell pepper, a red onion, a box of Pacific brand refried pinto beans, and a Delallo spaghetti - all items were organic of course. Even though I could not and would not do all of my grocery shopping here as most of the items they sell are not organic and are harmful to our health and the environment, it was nice to see that change for the better is happening in the main chain grocery stores. The best way to vote for change is to spend your dollar on the items that will shape the world in which you wish to live. The store was clean and is located in a nice shopping center with plenty of parking space. read more

I like this store. The people are nice, the veggies are fresh and the discount section has some good wine sales. I love the Starbucks inside and the bakery has some very yummy cakes. I used to shop here all the time because it's very convenient for me. Now I go to the really nice Stater Brothers down the street. At this Ralph's, there are always expired products on the shelves and often things are spilled on the floor, but most of the employees are so mean I don't want to "bother" them with anything. There are a couple people who are nice, but since trying the new stater brothers, I've realized how much better my shopping experience can be and I will only be going to this Ralph's if I absolutely need to. read more

Holy macroni! this place is sooo pricey! I thought this is Ralph's, no WholeFoods, did I make the wrong turn? What happened to my paycheck?

This is not your ordinary Ralph's, folks. This is a sexy, voluptuous Ralph's Fresh Fare store located in Tustin Ranch. To quote "Sex and The City", "It's fabulous!". It reminds me of shopping at their Santa Monica store when I used to frequent that area. Here's a list of things that makes this store special and stand head and shoulders above any regular old Ralph's: -The adult beverages don't sulk off in the corner at this store, baby. They get center stage right smack in the middle aisles. Wine, wine and more wine, lots o beer and soda, too. -An excellent selection of non-dairy refrigerated case products all grouped together in the way back near the produce section. I found soy sour cream today! Woohoo! It made my day. I bought a tub and when I got home, added dehydrated minced onion and onion powder to make onion dip. -More cheese than you can shake a stick at. Cheese to the left of the store and cheese to the right of the store. If you're a cheese lover, this place is cheese head hog heaven. I bought a block of dill Havarti. -There are so many beautiful flowers in their florist department, it's a shame they sit on the shelf for so long. They carry such an abundance of flowers and plants here, if they took all of them out , I swear it would be enough to create a pretty nice florist shop. -Self checkout! Yippee! Sometimes, I don't want the chatter and the customer service, I just want to go home so this helps me get there a bit faster. -They also have civilized recycling machines at the front of the store. These machines actually allow you to get back that CRV fee without having to second guess whether or not you're getting your money's worth at a bulk recycler. All in all, Ralph's would be smart to clone this store and spread it all over creation like sweet icing on a cake. read more

The folks behind the sushi counter are always really nice and super friendly and they truly appreciate you purchasing their sushi. Awful service at this location from management, I was there today and this lady who was a sales manager was very rude not only to me but to other people the tone of voice she uses and very unprofessional to be a manager she is unqualified for her job because she does not listen and just cuts you off and raises her voice in front of people I was embarrassed by her actions when she yelled at me I'm a customer and she shouldn't be treating people like that. I've been working on a project in this area and have stopped at this Ralph's several times. The first time I went, I found the people to be super helpful and I got some hot food from the deli area. The roasted chicken and mashed potatoes were really good for grocery store prepared food. When I went back to get more it was like I was at a totally different store. When I looked at the prepared food it looked as if a big crowd had just bought most of what they had and the people behind the counter just ignored me where as before the lady explained what the deal was and what I could get with the chicken. I tried twice, but no one every helped me, so I gave up. The other bad experience I had was during checkout. When I got home I noticed that my bananas had not been put in my cart with the rest of my food AND I noticed that I had a bag of someone else's random stuff in my cart. When I called, the manager said no problem, just come and get your bananas, but she didn't apologize. This is one of my pet peeves - when businesses think that making me drive back to the store to correct their mistake doesn't deserve some kind of extra compensation. I will say though, that once I got there, I just gave back the other groceries and got my bananas without having to go through check-out, etc. Again, no apologies from anyone, however, and the cashier said "Yeah, you left your bananas" like it was my job to check the bagger's work. Although this store doesn't have much of a meat selection, the butchers are nice. The produce section is pretty lovely and it looks like they have a pretty large wine/booze selection. read more

Just wanting to tell you guys how amazing the Ralph's off Jamboree and Irvine is!! Last night I went shopping at Ralph's and I was nervous cause I'm pregnant and also a caregiver to my mom who has health problems so her and I have been on lockdown I really haven't been going to the store because we are both high risk for covid I9 I also have a 8 year old little boy at home with me so it's been very stressful. I usually have my boyfriend go for me but tonight he couldn't go and we are almost out of food so I had to go! I haven't been working so we are on a budget I had 50 dollars which seemed like more than enough so I do my usual shopping get up to the checker and he rings me up and boom I'm over by around 55 dollars so I start putting things back and as you can imagine I'm mortified and embarrassed so I'm putting things back one by one trying to get the total down and finally get within 10 dollars almost everything I now have is essential so I'm really stressing!! The cashier must have seen how stressed I was cause he says don't worry about I got the rest!! I'm so grateful I start crying so now I'm barely able to speak cause it was just such a kind thing to do especially while working and I'm all choked up trying thank him I start to walk out and realize I don't know his name to thank him properly so I stop and ask the manager his name and again start crying while trying to explain how amazing what this young man just did for me and my family the manager tells me to go back and grab the food I just put back cause he saw me putting stuff back and he would pay for it and a customer over heard this going on and says awww yes please go get what you need and the guy standing behind him said the same at this point I'm bawling trying not to touch my eyes and face while wearing a face mask and crying my eyes out so I thank everyone profusely and refuse the help even tho I could have used it I was so emotional and overwhelmed with gratefulness I just couldn't ask for more! They were so sweet and amazing they all restored my faith in humanity!! I just couldn't believe 4 people were offering to help pay for my groceries I just wanted to let you guys know how proud I am to live in this community and share a moment that literally made my heart full with hope!! ********Meat expired 1/2 months still being sold********** Pay very close attention to what you buy at Seafood and Meat department. Better to not buy in that department at all. Nov 3rd we purchased a smoked sausage. At home we opened the package and it smelled and looked funny. One month past date! Date was 10/4/13. I call Ralphs, speak to someone from Front Desk and they told me the issue would be resolved. A week later, purely out of curiosity we go back to the meat department and guess what... That same rotten piece of sausage, by now having light brown and green spots on it, is still being sold. I asked for the Manager from the meat department and he didn't seem to be very friendly and understanding. He rearranged the sausages, didn't see him taking out the bad ones and said it would never happen again. We told one of our friendly ladies that works at the store about the situation. She told me she would speak to a Manager and I saw and heard her talking to someone directly after our conversation. Now, it's December 1st... Almost a month later.... Guess what..... Yeah shucks... There we find another sausage with the date 10/4/2013 on it. Mind you, it's December now. I called from home to the store, asked for the Manager. Person on the phone said she was. I explained the situation and then I get put on hold and this time connected to the "real" Store Manager. I tell her about the situation. She says it's the first time she has heard about it???? If you complain 4 times total and the 4th time the Store Manager hears it for the first time... then in what language have they been communicating if any? We keep going back because we like the majority of the employees so much but purchasing rotten meat time after time is not acceptable. It's a double feeling. We love the people working there but it's not worth having food poisoning over. read more

Purchased Cod fillets at this Ralph's location. Took the fillets out and gave them a rinse, then I notice a little worm coming out of one of them. It was definitely alive and making its way out. I wanted to throw up but anger came over me instead. Cut up the piece that had the worm, threw that sucker in a zip lock bag and drove back to show the manager. Let me tell you that this Ralph's location is SERIOUS about that club card!!! Like all of us, I have a discount, club card, whatever for just about every retailer in So Cal!! It can be a daunting process carrying around a wallet big enough to fit them all! I've recently downsized my handbag and I'm currently carrying only the essentials, ID, credit card, lipstick. I left the house in a hurry one day and forgot to bring my big ole wallet full of club cards that validates me as a human being in the eyes of Ralphs Supermarket. My bad...and I will never forget again. At the checkout, I could not recall the telephone number linked to my club card...it's been years that I've moved and changed my number. The "understanding" cashier informed me that I would have to pay the full price and get reimbursed when I bring back my receipt along with my club card!!! Really...No courtesy card behind that counter?? The sweet lady behind me happily entered her telephone number for me so I wasn't forced to waste gas and come ALL the way back... This is a very nice Ralph's. The store is large and has a lot of different variety. The store has great deals on different brands every week. Being a Ralph's member will qualify you for all the deals on the yellow tag. If you're not a Ralph's member you're getting ripped off, so make sure you register as one. The store has a great little clearance section in the back of the store by the restrooms. There's a lot of food (bread, baked goods), medicine, alcohol, and other miscellaneous items that are on sale in clearance, so be sure to check it out! My closest Ralph's is on culver, but I drive out to this store because of the larger variety in ice cream flavors! There's a Starbucks in the store in case you need your daily coffee fix. I haven't tried it yet, but I will do so next time :) read more

The reason why I like this Ralphs so much is only because it is RIGHT near my house and it is one of the few supermarkets here in Irvine that is open late! This ralphs closes at 2 and is in the Marketplace area so if you ever need anything late at night (*cough alcohol *cough) this is pretty much the only place that's going to be open. I feel like this Ralph's has only very limited stuff. Not too much when it comes to meats, deli's, cheeses, etc. Only the staple stuff. Last time, I tried looking for some pepperonchini's and goat cheese and to my surprise, they didn't have any! Other reviewers are correct though it does get pack! I guess it's bc it's in such a prime location and it opens late that a lot of people come here to shop and it gets crowded! I have never once seen more than 2 check out lanes open! They need to start hiring some more check out associates! Other than that, it's an ok supermarket. After living next to a Safeway and Whole foods for so long in SF, Ralph's here isn't something that is too impressive to shop at. Just glad that it's open late!!! read more

A default "to-go" place for my snacks shopping (only when there's great offer). The place is quite organized and clean (as usual). I don't do a lot of my grocery shopping here cos the price may be higher than other Asian supermarket. Parking lot is very good; there's ample of parking spaces around. Go during non-peak hours to avoid long check-out lines. read more

I'm not sure if this store was recently remodeled, but it's pretty awesome. First, the alcohol aisle is one of the largest I've ever seen for a grocery store. It's like 2 full aisles. They have both the mini shopping carts for babies, and these shopping carts with little buggies attached for kids. So Ralph's has been my go-to neighborhood grocery store for years now and I have had no problem with them until recently. If you don't know already Ralph's has a app now and it's a cool lil app where u can shop, get groceries delivered, or just look up prices. It also saves all ur purchases whether it was in store, online, pickup, or delivery. For every purchase that you make using ur Ralph's Rewards card that's connected to the app it also has a digital receipts for ppl like me that hardly keep their receipts. The whole point of Ralph's having a digital copy is so that u have proof of purchase if u need to return something and lost/trashed your paper copy. But when I tired returning a couple of products that I ended up not using I was happy that Ralph's thought about ppl like me and gave us a way to get our money back when we habitually just throw the receipt in the trash right outside the entrances. So when I told the cashier I have a return and said I have the digital receipt from their app him had no idea that their policy specifically states that they accept digital copies but what was even more frustrating was when the manager, a old Hispanic guy that works nights, told me that he can ONLY take the paper copy and basically called me a thief that goes around stealing the same things and using one receipt and then walks around when I'm trying to talk to him. I don't understand why their cashiers aren't told about their app and the digital copy option. They need to have a class or course to teach them cuz that's fuckin crazy! Thanks for reading.
