Hands down, in all my life, on all the Coasts, I've never seen a supermarket become a Valentine's Vonderland like this! Every aisle is adorned with gorgeous holiday balloons. Some of them are outrageously big and fun. And flowers? Don't get me started on that. You can count on this Ralph's to help with your Valentines needs. Jaz, the manager on duty, would not sell us Laundry detergent this evening. She said the store policy was that the area that contains the laundry detergent and air freshener closes at 11PM. You can buy alcohol but not cleaning supplies. Bizarre store policy. My frustration was that I pleaded with her to please allow us to get detergent, I told her I don't have to touch it. I'll point it out and pay immediately. She said no and began making jokes with a fellow store clerk. Unprofessional and not warranted! Shame on you Jaz for laughing at us and making jokes. I'm staying in the area for work and my youngest was sick after dinner on some clothing that needed to be worn tomorrow. I was polite. I so confused why they would sell me detergent. I was just there. I waited in the line for more than 10 minutes because they don't have a lot of cashiers open when I got there. Ask the cashier if you could she can find somebody to get me a bottle of tequila one Manager says she's off the clock the other one said oh come with me and I told her no it's in the back not in the front she goes. Oh I cannot go to the back not very helpful so I decided just to leave. I was really upset that I could not get anybody to help me when I was in the back to get a bottle. Ralph's is my favorite of the big chain grocery stores. They have a large produce section with lots of organic, and a great bread aisle, with one brand that is only sold at one other chain. They'll also always cary the newest products like Tapatio's meat marinades. It is a big store so you'll always find everything that you need with multiple options available. And just like everywhere now, there's a Starbucks inside for your convenience. I wish there was one closer to me, but I will drive whatever distance for their selection. read more

I've been a loyal Ralph's shopper for many 20 years, but I had a very disappointing experience at the hot food department. I went to order some chicken and explained that I don't like breast , so I asked if I could get legs and thighs instead of breast. The employee told me that the $5 meals only come with pieces of one of . I even offered to pay the difference, but she still refused and had an attitude about it, almost like she didn't want to make the sale at all. Until she did it It's sad to see when people in customer service roles don't seem happy in their jobs and treat customers with little care. After this experience, I won't be ordering food from the hot food department again. Very disappointing for a place I've shopped at all my life. read more

I love this Ralph's Fresh Fare. It's well organized and very clean...Even in the picture, the floor shines and it doesn't matter in which our you stop by this store is spot less. Their flowers are always gorgeous and well designed and the most important thing the vases are fresh flowers. I love the way they are decorating for the specific events. I love their baby welcoming bouquets specially baby girl one with elephant. They have great selection of fruit, food, veggies, snack and etc...I love thr way their shelves are always full and there is no empty shelves. Teresa at the bakery does an absolutely amazing job decorating cakes! We've ordered from her more than once now, and she never disappoints. She recreated a baseball-themed cake for my son's birthday that looked even better the second time around, and she also made a beautiful Little Mermaid cake for my daughter that was just perfect. I have been coming to this Ralphs ever since the Albertsons closed in Irvine. Unfortunately, the amount of theft at this Ralphs has gotten out of hand. They lock up their alcohol, for some household items there is a separate cashier and you have to pay for those items separately to make sure you didn't steal anything. The final straw was today. I went to self checkout and they have these women watching you. Then after i scanned everything, she had to come over, pull up a video and watch that I scanned everything! Once she did that she said,"ok you can continue". Excuse me? Then she did something to the register so I couldn't get any of my bank cards to work (3 of them). Then she came back as I was ready to give up and leave and she said "you need to press "card"". I told her the only thing that changed was she pulled up my video like I was a thief. I'm sorry, but if your customer base is so bad you need to accuse everyone of stealing, it's better to go somewhere else. Albertsons in Tustin is where a lot of the Irvine employees went. I do not recommend coming to this Ralph's. They have multiple signs up to ask for help if you want to buy a cake after the counter is closed. However, Aldo, the supervisor on duty, told me that it isn't true. He or anyone else can't help me because no one knows how to print out the labels, even though each cake has its price on it, and no one can "touch" the cakes. Everyone seems to be undertrained in their responsibilities to ensure good customer service. Aldo didn't even remove the sign when I told him they cause a lot of confusion. read more

Granted this is the closest grocery store in the area, I don't remember the last time I shopped for fresh food at Ralphs. I usually now go to the store to get some snacks, chips, salsa, eggs, and other day to day necessities [if necessary]. It was walking distance from there place I used to rent at so it made it very convenient... just in case I run out of anything. It is open till late. Their white wine selection is not that appealing but I am glad that there is a store close by that has various alcoholic beverages options though. read more

The guys in the meat department as well as the store manager are cowardly and without balls. I requested some cuts and they lied to me that they weren't able to get it for me and sent me to ask the douchebag old balding manager guy with tats on his right arm. I did so. And the guy told me it was not on him and that it was up to the guys in the department. Deflecting my question and was completely dismissive to me. My request was not unreasonable or unheard of. They are closed minded, unwilling, and don't want to help you. Guess what, I walked out of the store and went to the next closest grocery store (not Ralphs) and I didn't even have to beg or feel rejected like I did at this Ralphs. I don't have a problem with Ralphs in general, just this one. Not a good atmosphere. They are the type of people that don't like customers who are better off than them. read more

I've been to this Ralph's location maybe a handful of times and it's been consistent and fine. I don't usually have too much interaction with the associates but when I do ask questions they seem to be fairly responsive. There is also a Starbucks inside the store for those that care, although I have not personally had any experience with ordering from them it could appeal to a shopper that just needs a quick pick me up. Selection seems decent and the prices do show up as advertised. I have not had difficulty with finding most of my items, and I'm grateful that the self check out kiosks work efficiently and consistently. I'm usually in and out of the store within 10 minutes and it makes shopping here a breeze. read more

Been waiting for bakery service for at least 15 minutes. Had someone page customer service to bakery department and we are still waiting. We dropped into this Ralph's to pickup a cake since it was conveniently located near grandparents but there's very little customer support service here. This market is your standard market. You will find what you need. The reason for the low stars is because of a SALES MANAGER. I went to buy things I needed to make sandwiches. As I was paying for my groceries the young man began to bag my groceries and asked the SALES MANAGER Christine if he should work on another task (I didn't catch the task he mentioned) or continue to bag. The way Christine responded was condescending and rude. She pretty much told him it was obvious he should bag. He then said "Ok, I just figured I'd ask". People like Christine make the work environment a nightmare. If you are tired of your position or are a person with a bad attitude then you shouldn't be overseeing anyone. It's because of supervisors and managers like her they employees leave. I don't know if she was having a bad day but she should know better than to take it out on someone else. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience last night. I bought seasoned beef meat yesterday afternoon, but it was too tough to chew after I cooked. I visited them to explain the situation and ask them to refund because they always say, "customer satisfaction guaranteed." I also thought it would be to their benefit so that they can improve their product quality with my experience. However, the night manager named Sam treated me like an unreasonably demanding customer without any customer courtesy. She has no intention of using my experience to improve their product quality and customer satisfaction. She reluctantly refunded me, but only a very unpleasant experience remained in my mind. I am buying all most everyday at this particular store, and I am seeing daytime manager so nice and customer centric. I feel very sad with this night manager. read more

Ive been shopping here for 24 years. In the last year plus the store has really gone downhill. Aisles are narrow and crowded, sometimes blocked by carts or whatever. The music is way too loud and annoying. The other day there was flooding in three aisles and you couldn't go there. I've had it and am done shopping here. read more

Customer service was the worst of all Ralph's I've been to! I always go to Ralph's after the gym around 8pm. Usually at other Ralph's, when buying alcohol, if they only have one line open and it's long, they let you check at a register near the self checkout. I Usually go to the one on Main or Alton (very nice customer service). Tonight, I decided to go to this Ralph's off Jamboree, one line open and long. I went to the guy working self checkout (very short 5,5ft, white, balding blondish brown hair) and asked if he could help me check out because they only have line open and it's very long. He said I can't do that for you, in a very rude tone. I said other Ralph's do that for their loyal customers if it's long wait and you only have 3 items (including alcohol). He said very sarcastically, well they shouldn't be doing that for you! Look, if he just didn't have the register to check me out then simply say, "I'm very sorry ma'am, I'm not able to do that, our stores not setup to do that." Being condescending to customers is rude! I actually used to go to the Jamboree store a year ago, and the checkout people were very nice. I'm not a sensitive person, but his attitude really left a bad taste, I'm never coming back here again! Go to Ralph's on Main or Alton, those guys are personable and treat you like valuable customer! read more

I'm a regular shopper at this store and it appears that the customer service has gone downhill. I asked the meat department guy yesterday if they have the meat that was on sale because the shelf was empty and he said I have to wait for an hour because he is too busy. No apology or anything. Decided to leave a Yelp review since the bottom of the receipt no longer has a link for reviews. I stopped shopping here a while ago because all of the friendly checkers left. The deli department ignores me every time I am there. Again, totally different people. Today I had to run in because it was a last-minute shopping list. It was early morning. I asked if there was someone that was doing check out and was told it was only self check out because someone was on vacation. I had a basket full of groceries. The young girl who was watching the self check out did not offer to help me. A very nice employee named Mercedes came over and said that she would be happy to help me. While she was helping me, the young girl sat scrolling through her phone not even paying attention to anything else. Mercedes is an exceptional employee. New to the area, first time at this Ralphs. I'm glad I found everything I was looking for. Clean, nicely organized, food/fruits looked fresh. However, my bad experience was at the end while at check out. I came today 6/9/24 6:35 PM. The cashier was a young man he was sweet and efficient. The more older man "Kevin" was real rude. He didn't say hi back. And my son 2year old tried to talk to him 3 times. As he placed my bag in our cart my son asked him "is it mine?" Referring to the bag. And "Kevin" ignored him. My son asked 2 more times and he ignored him again. Until I told my son "it's okay baby he can't hear you" and then the cashier asked "how many bags?" Kevin responded "3" .. so he indeed heard my son, he just refused to acknowledge us and be kind in responding. Won't go back. I know it's not like they care if I do or not. Ralphs your price increases are becoming ridiculous, and time to speak up. As a long time Tustin Ranch resident you have always been our preferred shopping store venue since the mid to late 90's. But todays visit put me in head spin after seeing the latest increases in some of the regular items we buy. Your half cakes like "Vanilla Pudding Cake or Sock It To Me" that use to be $3.99 as of last week (even less before that) has now jumped to $4.99, thats a 25% increase overnight. Your Kroger brand Hot Dog and Hamburger Buns, now at $1.99, use to be $1.49. Boars Head Sweet Slice Ham, used to be $8.99lb now at $12.99lb and I could go on and on. Making smaller increases over time makes more sense vs just stuffing us with the higher prices as loyal shoppers that have supported you over the years. read more

I am not sure if it's going to mske a difference but I had to share. I went there to get a money order and the cashier told me he was the only one who could give me one. I waited and I had to go and ask him how long more I had to wait and he responded very rudely and impatiently. The manager came to give me the money order and I told her about my bad experience with that cashier and her answer was that they were short staffed!
