I love coming here to get my groceries. They have lots of good food items, and the people are very nice and friendly, and I can usually get a good parking spot. Also, there was good music.

14.9 Oz Fat from "trimmed" try-tip at Ralph's. That was almost 25% of the weight!!

DON'T buy trimmed tri-tip here. You pay a bit extra for trimmed versus untrimmed, so seems like it is worth it. However, Ralph's does not trim the "trimmed" tri-tip. What they do is trim one side and then wrap it up with the full fat cap underneath. It looks like it is trimmed and you think you are getting a nicely trimmed 3.78 pound slab of meat. Perfect size for the number of people the wife and I were having over for a barbecue. Well I took out the tri-tip about an hour before I wanted to start grilling to spice it up. I was shocked when I flipped it over there was that huuuge fat cap. I went ahead and started to trim that fat off. Ten minutes later, I had 14.9 ounces of fat on the cutting board. That is almost a pound. That is 3 people's servings that I had planned for. I did not have time to go get some more meat, so we added extra sides, with items we had on hand, to make sure all had enough to eat. What a scam. The sad thing is that I have experienced this a couple times at the Ralph's on Camino Real and I made the mistake of forgetting this happened at another Ralph's. The El Camino Real location is walking distance from my house and I drive to Albertsons or Pavilions to avoid shopping at Ralph's. Don't Go. Don't buy "trimmed" tri-tip at Ralph's. Go somewhere else. Have fun!!

Make sure you weigh all the packaged produce you are buying. The berries in bought recently was off by 1.5 oz per package.

I came in here to find my favorite chips because they were out of them at Gelson's. They are low fat Ruffles but they don't have them here either, bummer. I found some other low fat snacks though but the line was ridiculously long.

Stopped in here for a super quick trip looking for one specific item in the floral department that they didn't have. They have a super cute set up with Fall decor near the floral department.

When you request sliced roast beef and swiss cheese and get 1/4" thick tiles of meat & cheese.

I pumped the tire up and I could hear the leak, but it appeared I could get it to Holley's Tire across town. (stick with me, this is actually a review of SC Ranch Mkt, also see my review of Holley's Tire!). Holley needed the car for about an hour, so I decided to find some place to fill my belly with some good grub within walking distance. Still on my journey to find the best breakfast burrito in the San Clemente metropolitan Tri-State area, I searched Yelp for something nearby. SC Ranch Market came up and I headed out as it was a couple minute walk. The restaurant and bakery are attached to the SC Ranch Market but I am not sure if it is the same name or different. My bad for not figuring that out. Upon entering, I saw the menus hanging above the counter and there were a huge amount of choices of tasty Mexican fare. I concentrated on the breakfast burrito section to see what I wanted. While there were some interesting choices, I went with the basic breakfast burrito with sausage. The BB is eggs, cheese, beans. After ordering and paying, I headed to a table to await my tasty breakfast treat. There are several tables near the door. The tables were all dirty, so I tried to choose the least dirty one and then got some napkins to wipe off the remnants of other people's breakfasts or dinners. Kinda yucky. Finally, I was called to pick up my burrito. My extra large breakfast burrito. Dang it was heavy. I lugged the log o' burrito to my semi-clean table and the table was able to handle the heft of this brute. I was nervous. A cool thing is that they have a nice salsa bar with some great choices and other condiments. I got a couple of tubs of salsa to try them out. Spoiler alert, they were both great salsas. Got that out of the way. The burrito was large, it was hot and it was one of the best breakfast burritos in the local San Clemente area. Eggs perfectly scrambled and cooked. Tasty, tasty beans. Soft, warm, grilled (always a fav of mine) tortilla. Melty, gooey cheese to bind it all together. A five star breakfast burrito. You will not be disappointed if you get one and I highly recommend that you should. After only eating half, I was actually pretty full. That did not stop me from stuffing the rest of the tube of deliciousness down my throat. I could not stop eating it. Go to SC Ranch Market and order a breakfast burrito. It is in my top 5 in the San Clemente area. You will not be mad at me for referring you to go. Bring a moist towelette to wipe off the table and you are good. Just go. Take it out if you don't like the tables. Try all of the salsas. Oh wait, I forgot one amazing fact. IT WAS $8.99! Less than 9 bucks for a massive, delicious, breakfast burrito. Where can you find that? Where? Tell me where! Just go. Stop what you are doing and go. Please go. I'll even throw in a moist towelette... Go! Eat Well!! Have Fun!!!

Parts of the farmer's market are located on the sidewalk, which can make it very difficult to walk when it gets crowded. Although it was pleasant to visit, I didn't see anything that I wanted. The plant vendor's prices were very reasonable and he had a nice variety of air plants at great prices. Chaupain Bakery has a stall for a quick stop for a pastry. Their wine list is truly endless. You can sit inside at the bar, at a gorgeous table with air conditioning, under their adorable pink-striped umbrellas on the patio, or in an extended patio off the sidewalk with plenty of seating. You will be treated with exceptional service regardless of seating. Their brunch menu is delicious. Their chive biscuit breakfast sandwich is incredible, as is their breakfast burrito, chilaquiles AND biscuits and gravy. To be fair, we visit most regularly for a cheese board and meat with a glass of wine. Recently enjoyed the ceviche and smash burger with side-winder fries which was hand crafted and filling. Even our young boys enjoyed every bite. On Sunday's (1st and 3rd of the month) they have live music which is wonderful. Last thing, the cellar cookie is incredible. It was the kind of place where sharing plates and a bottle of wine make sense. From my visit, we tried the Charcuterie & Cheese Board, sliders, ceviche, and the Burrata Salad with grilled peach. Everything was solid, but the Burrata Salad was the clear favorite. The combination of creamy burrata with grilled peach, heirloom tomato, fresh herbs, and the bright vinaigrette had a great balance of sweet, savory, and fresh flavors. It was the dish I'd come back for. The other plates rounded out the meal well, especially for sharing, and the wine selection was a highlight. For tips, I'd come ready to share several small plates and take advantage of the wine program. Since the room can get busy, expect a more energetic experience during peak times rather than a quiet dinner. This is a good fit for date night, catching up with friends, or anyone who enjoys wine, cheese boards, and a lively downtown San Clemente setting. The only small drawback is that the busier atmosphere may not be ideal if you are looking for a calm, intimate meal.
