It all began with an emergency tooth extraction. I was having severe tooth pain and immediately went and saw a dentist. Preparing myself for the worst, I had dressed in more comfy attire. (Why wear jeans and have my face done if I was going to need surgery? No need to be dressed up and uncomfortable.)
Sure enough, they were able to remove the problem same day.
Once the prescription was in my hand, I decided the next thing I needed to do was to fill my prescription before the numbing agent wore off.
I use the GoodRx app to find the best pharmacy and sure enough, this Ralph's popped up. Awesome! Let's save a little money!
My boyfriend, who had been helping me out through the day, took my prescription up to the desk where a young woman with long dark hair greeted us. We gave her my ID and the paper, a few minutes passed and she started to whisper to her supervisor who then approached us at the counter. He was a shorter man, short gray hair, higher pitched voice (sorry, it's been a few days and I'm terrible with names) and he proceeded to tell me he would not be able to fulfill my request. My pain medication, Norco, was on "back order" and they weren't sure when it would come in.
Judging by the way the woman talked and looked at us when she was speaking to her supervisor, and the fact that if it were truly out of stock and she couldn't tell us herself, clearly we were being judged by the way we looked and they assumed we were junkies. Yes, I understand LA is full of them, but I had just gotten out of surgery and I didn't realize that when you're in pain and have bloody gauze in your mouth, if you need a prescription filled at this Ralph's, you need to do your hair and makeup and put a dress on. I would think, at the most, they could have called the dentist office and verified that this indeed was a real prescription. Instead, they judged and assumed. Absolutely rude. Terrible customer service.
I ended up at Walgreens on Vine where they were incredibly friendly and worked with me.
In order to post this review, I have to give at least one star. But in my opinion, I wouldn't give them any. Will never go here again. read more
