JEAN the manager and product shopper is so sweet and meticulous when she shops for you. She is excellent in produce selection. Felix was very rude to me. I was buying alcohol And my card was on my friends Apple Pay on her phone. I used her phone to pay as my card was on it, but he wouldn't let me purchase the alcohol because it "wasn't my phone". California laws do not say that the phone has to be mine in order to pay. It was my money and my ID being used. He refused to let me buy the alcohol after, even though I offered to pay with another card that was on MY phone. Very rude. read more

Felix was so disrespectful to my friend when she was using her card on my phone to purchase alcohol. Genuinely ruined our experience, he took forever making a return that was not even necessary. He treated it as if he was better than us, he also gave us very mean looks. Something needs to be done, Felix does not follow California law. read more

I came to this Ralphs on March 8 around 6:05 PM after seeing on social media that some locations will fry fish for you. Unfortunately, when I got to the butcher counter, the employee told me the fryer had been turned off three hours earlier and gave a pretty nothing explanation. If a store is going to advertise or offer a service like that, it should actually be available especially on a Sunday evening. The timing also didn't really line up with what I was told. I spoke with the manager before leaving to confirm the hours, and he mentioned they usually cook until around 7, mind you it was 6:05pm which made the situation even more confusing. The manager was nice, I may try another Ralphs location in the future, but I won't be coming back to this one. read more

I usually enjoyed coming here, but the gentleman at the self checkout lane is weird. I was going to purchase some berries and then as I scanned them I noticed they had mold on them, I walked up to the gentleman and said "I probably shouldn't buy these" insinuating that they should be aware their produce is moldy, he then begins to berate me with "no no no, people usually say hello, how are you, how's it going"...do because I didn't great him to a manner he likes, he begins to insult me...I dont owe this man anything, he is an employee. I can't believe this place sucks like this! 1. They spend a a lot of money probably advertising to the local neighborhood! 2. We don't normally use coupons but when you send me one they better work! 3. My wife took a picture of the coupon and that wasn't good enough are you freaking kidding me! I could shop at trader Joe's at whole foods I don't need your Ralphs s***... Then you close one side of the store... 4. I shop at Ralphs at 8701 Lincoln Blvd almost everyday since recently moving close to this store. I won't be shopping here again. I went into the store this morning and tried to purchase 2 Foster Farms chicken breast packages. They were on sale for "buy one get one of equal or lesser value for free". On top of this sale, each package was marked down approximately $3.00. There were no checkout lanes open at all, except for the self checkout, which had a lot of unhappy people in line. So I had to use that. When I scanned the chicken, it took the package of lesser value off. (It was only .08¢ difference) but it didn't take the extra ~$3.00 markdown off. I asked the man who worked there to help me and I explained what happened and he said, "So let me get this straight. You are worried about an .08¢ difference?" He then proceeded to yell to everyone in line, "I'm sorry for the hold up, this woman is worried about an .08¢ difference in her chicken." Naturally everyone laughed. I explained to him that that wasn't the problem. It was the extra discount that the register wasn't giving me. He then yelled the same thing again to everyone. I then asked him to take the chicken off of my order because he was being so rude. He told me to do it myself. I don't know how to, and in fact, he needs to scan his employee card to do it. After going through this twice, I decided I didn't want to buy anything from Ralphs so I asked him to cancel the entire order. He told me to do it. So I grabbed the items and placed them on his desk near his computer. (I was at the register right next to it). He yelled at me to not put it there but to put it back on the ledge near the register I was using. I did so while I told him I didn't work there and that he doesn't need to be an ass. I walked toward the exit and asked an employee if I could speak to the manager. He pointed her out to me. It turned out that she was there for the altercation and did nothing to intervene. All that needed to happen was to remove the $3.00 from the register. If the employee is unable to handle such a simple task, then they shouldn't be running the checkout line. If the manager refuses to help out in a situation, then she definitely shouldn't be a manager. The actual nerve of your employee yelling out to everyone in line to purposefully embarrass a customer is absolutely gross. Needless to say, I'm done shopping at Ralphs. Fortunately there are a lot of other choices nearby. read more

Mark, the employee often found at the self checkout line, intentionally misgenders me every time I go to the store. I usually ignore him but I'm tired of his antics. I recently confronted him about it, asking if we could talk about the way he addresses me, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. But immediately he started yelling at me to not worry about it and to brush it off. Says it's his "job to maintain the self checkout" and he doesn't want to talk because I'm going to "cause a traffic jam". Mind you, it's only me and one other customer in this 6 lane self checkout area. He claimed ignorance and that he doesn't know what he did as he "says all kinds of things to people all day at checkout". I told him I think he knows what he's doing but before I could say more he ran away. He's not even open to having a conversation. If your job is to greet customers, then maybe you shouldn't be intentionally rude and condescending to them. This man is hateful, transphobic, and extremely rude. I actively have to avoid an entire section of the store so that I don't have to have an interaction with him. If he is rude to anyone else, don't put up with his behavior. He knows what he's doing and is very disingenuous. Seeing many other reviews experiencing the same thing it's ridiculous that this man has not been fired yet. read more

This is my neighborhood Ralphs and my go-to grocery store. I shop here about four times a month, sometimes just grabbing a few things and sometimes picking up a bigger haul. There are entrances on both sides of the building although I usually come in through the parking lot. I also like to walk here, and during the pandemic, it became part of my daily routine to stop by and pick up ingredients for dinner. This location is smaller than some other Ralphs stores so the selection isn't quite as extensive but it still has all the essentials and the prices are reasonable. The store is clean, the staff is generally friendly, and are all helpful. You might have to wait a bit at the meat or seafood counter, but they'll get to you if bring a little patience. There are both self-checkout stations and staffed lanes which help keep things moving. Ah, and one of my favorite perks: there's a Starbucks right inside the store! I'm sure I'll be back, time and time again as long as Ralphs is there! read more

This shop is convenient if you are staying at the nearby June Hotel, otherwise I'd probably go somewhere else. Shop is cramped and crowded, with an odd glow as there are two entrance/exits, one off each side, and it's hard to navigate through as the register area is in the center. Long wait unless you use self checkout. Prices are higher than I'm used to coming from Chicago, but maybe that's a CA thing. A box of 8 Krispy Kreme mini donuts was $12.99, which seemed high. Free parking. Staff was helpful each time I visited, probably 3 times this past week. read more

While this location is always clean and organized, the store is way too small for the amount of people that come in. Every time I come here to shop I feel as though I'm dodging people left and right and it's overwhelmingly crowded. It's quite difficult to find products as well because there's such little space to move. All the workers have always been nice and helpful but There's simply not enough of them. Definitely going to shop elsewhere when at all possible. I agree with another reviewer of this Ralph's, the Checkers have such toxic attitudes. They exude spite and anger. What for? For a customer showing up and making you do your job? I smiled when I arrived at Nakeisha's station. I didn't make demands or try to rush through. I packed my own groceries in the bag I brought with me. I got so much attitude as though I'd personally offended her. It probably comes from having a terrible Manager. That usually trickles down and you get exrtemely disgruntled employees. There are other possibilties for the thoroughly irritated manner, of course. I hardly ever use the Self Checkout because I think I'm helping people hold onto their jobs and shifts etc. I'll try to use it every time I go to this Ralph's now. I have lived in this neighborhood for 15 years and for the last 3-4 years, this place keeps getting worse. The most irritating thing about shopping here is the change of the deli hours. Years ago, I could stop here after the gym, grab meat or items from the deli and carry on with my day. The opening time for the deli has gone from opening to 7 to 7:30 and this morning I was told 8. Additionally, if you enter the store before 7, you have to use self checkout unless someone is kind enough to be on a register to check you out. I'm trying to understand the exact clientel Ralph's is catering too now with consistently rising costs and decline in customer service. I have been shopping at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods mostly over the last year because I get tired of being pissed. Every single time I try to come back here I am utterly disappointed. The convenience of neighborhood shopping at Ralph's is but a flipping Dream. Even the best cashier is gone... Audrina (always polite, efficient and aware). Sigh... Mark the employee is so disrespectful and mentally unstable. He has talked down to me on numerous occasions and berated me for no reason. I have witnessed other people being harassed by him many times. I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but it continues to happen every time I see him working there. This time he would not help me clear an error on the self checkout until he berated me for about 5 minutes straight and I had to stand there listening to his nonsense. Older African American man, typically at self-checkout but often times doing produce has sexually harassed my fiancé and I multiples times. He continues to make inappropriate comments and innuendos every time he sees us. The first couple of times, I thought to myself that there was no way he was being this brazen with customers making comments like that, so I let it slide. We have had to avoid him on multiple occasions to avoid an interaction as I knew next time it happened, I would confront him. Today it happened again. After he made his innuendos, I questioned him about and he nervously started scrambling to come up with an explanation. Shortly after, I called the store manager and filed a complaint. I also filed a complaint on the Ralph's website. What a terrible customer experience. From reading some of the reviews on this thread, I'm wondering if his name is Mark? I'll find out. read more

I had misgivings about it coming down Manchester from PDR, but I only had three items on my grocery list, so, why not? Instead of trapsing all the way down to Ralph's Sepulveda/LaTijera, I'll just stop at the market at Lincoln/Loyola. What could go wrong, right? Ans: plenty. Jeez louise, talk about bad experiences. I spotted shrink-wrapped cobb corn @ $5.99 at the entrance to produce, and grabbed one. Then, moving thru produce, I spotted the very same corn on an endcap at $2.99. No prob, just ask "Mark," the RALPH'S EMPLOYEE stocking bananas further on, "Which is correct?" Instead, I get an invitation to put God in my heart, and a lecture of how HE isn't responsible for signs, and he's just "helping out" (wearing a Ralph's apron and badge) and I need to take the corn up front to be scanned...you know, with two checkstands open and lined up. Really? I did take everything to a checkstand, and, upon my turn, asked the not-to-friendly checker to please scan the corn ("It's $5.99.") and what about the sign at $2.99? "I don't know about that," she responded, " the price is what the computer says." Yes, I walked out, went to Sepulveda (where they know me) and got a sympathetic ear. The corn was $5.99...unless I had a Ralphs card, which I do. Never again that ___hole store. To think we used to buy ice cream cones there 60 years ago.... read more

I've always gone to this store as long as I can remember and always had a great experience, speaking with multiple employees to the point of first name basis. Today I had an experience with a VERY RUDE employee, extremely condescending, I asked politely while checking out if she wanted to scan my heavy items I left in the cart (even picking them up with barcode) but instead of responding with an answer she continued to repeat asking me to move the cart ahead of me. I asked multiple times because I didn't know if she saw I had items in the basket still, and received the exact same response each time. I then asked why is she being rude and again received the exact same response of move the cart ahead of me. Everyone else is GREAT, but stay away from a lady named Sonia I believe the name was on her badge, and Nakeisha J is what printed out on my receipt. Spoke to a manager named Richard who like the rest of the staff is EXTREMELY pleasant, but will also be contacting corporate because I'm sure the managers can only do so much. We work hard for our money just like they do and having common courtesy and respect for one another while spending our money at their place of employment should be obvious. read more

I like this Ralphs location near the airport and all. Its just in a shitty location of Westchester. I have been here many times shopping at different times. I was here recently after picking up someone from the airport. Lock you cars when coming here. Security is present here, but not all the time. Homeless and drug users are always lurking around here. But I love the produce and deli areas. A huge Ralphs here . I purchased some liquor and they have them all locked up in a cabinet. All in all, customer service was good here. read more

This location is constantly extremely crowded, but they'll only have 2 checkout lanes open. The employees act like it's a "shock and it's never this busy" every time this happens. I've lived in Westchester for a few years now - so it's about time I review my local, neighborhood Ralphs. This store was just remodeled. It's all fancy now. Even has a Starbucks. Not that I drink coffee - but I love tea. As for the store, I choose to shop here even when there's several grocery stores nearby so now after the remodel, it's the only one I shop at, with the exception of Bristol Farms. A different store for different things. There's parking both in front and back. Service is and has always been great. The store has just about everything I need though I should mention that I don't cook at home (eat out all the time) so my shopping habits are much different than many others. read more

This Ralphs use to be kind of a mess. It was old, out dated and the service was miss and hit. So bad at one point that I wrote a letter to Kroger to complain about its crap/hostile service. Fun Fact: This Ralphs even had its own FB page called "The Ralphs that Kroger forgot". It may or may not still be up, it was mentioned to me by another local Yelper. Now with what seems to be millions invested in to the store's remodel it has some new life! Hell, it even has a Starbucks satellite in it. I like the new look and organization of things. The downer is that I still can't find many of the authentic Mexican spices & mixed like to use when I want to prepare something special. I let it slide and go somewhere else to get them. No biggie. Also, whats up with .33¢ per lime or $3 per avocado!? No mamén. Avocado & limes aside...Its a convenient store that has finally caught up with the 21st century. I was assaulted by one of their cashiers at the self-checkout. It's bad enough we have to checkout ourselves but when the machine won't scan, May comes to try and help. She swatted my hand away and reached for my arm when I was showing her the issue. There is NEVER a reason to touch another person. Never. I have already called the corporate office, will be filing an assault report with LAPD. No matter how many calls to corporate and complaints to the manager, most of the staff is rude and nonhelpful and I cannot even get a receipt, it is over 10 days on an online order I made which is against the law. time to report them to the Consumer Protection Agency and Weights and Measures. really terrible. I frequent this Ralph's regularly. I usually find something good on the clearance shelves. Although the marina store has a much bigger clearance section. I also visit the deli department here frequently. They Give samples of all their tasty deli meats and cheeses. I absolutely love the Boar's head selection. There's nothing better! Right next to the Deli food they have bread/rolls from La Brea Bakery. I've had these rolls spoil before their sale date. Beware! read more

Go to a different Ralph's unless you're walking. Even then, locations in either direction are a very short bus ride. Every once in awhile, something is subpar enough that I feel obligated to protect the consumer and maybe get the attention of leadership. If my business is running poorly, I want to know. This location is decent, but it's filthy. I came into the bulk food section for dried apricots. I grab the scoop, and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a month. There was hair stuck to it and old accumulated residue. I thought, never mind, let it alone, and went to grab a salad. As I'm shopping bagged salads, I notice how dirty those bags are. With not much on the shelf, and what was on the shelf being so dirty, I decided to drive up the street to the next location. I frequent Ralph's. If you drive just a few miles north or south, the locations are much better. They're cleaner and have genuinely good service. On another occasion, I said "thank you" 3 different times to 3 different employees and noticed no one said "your welcome". I think other local Ralph's locations are much warmer, connect with, and appreciate their customers. read more

Oh my...what a fantastic group of employees I encountered last eves. Pull-up a chair bc this is an epic story. I'm searching for a crazy box of Knorr's dried 'onion' soup. Wowzer! A lovely young gal, Gizelle, is actively cleaning up a broken bottle of wine. She's so nice; she stops what she's doing to provide eye contact and an attitude of authentic customer care. She correctly directs me to aisle 11, on target. Unfortunately, there's no 'onion'. Another young gentleman observes me seeking another 'brand'. Congrats to Martin. He spots what I can't reach and wá lá, it's Lipton Onion Soup. Success. It ll.due. I'm desperate. Hooray! Now I can satisfy my Sun. eves. Crazy craving for potato chips and sour cream onion dip. Ok, so I'm now justifiably in Customer Care shock. I've wandered onto another aisle entirely but have forgotten what the heck I'm looking for now. Introducing the next nicest guy ever. Observant and indeed a genuine gentleman. He simply reaches out and asks if he can assist me in finding anything. What? Where? How? This doesn't happen in LA. Well, Justice actually initiated H-E-L-P. TY Justice!! Here's the highlight of my eves. I've checked out and pay my 'good-eves' respects to the hard-working guard, Jeremiah, as I'm exiting. I hadn't experienced a positive exchange w my cashier (will expound in a separate YELP) and commented accordingly. I mentioned I had stairs to climb when I arrived home, dreading the necessity of dragging up my groceries, particulary w 1 bag of 2 heavy liter soda bottles. Ugh!! He, Monster Muscle-man, Jeremiah to my rescue. He immediately offered an add'l bag to relieve my burden & assisted by better balancing the contents of my bags. He's a guard, way above and beyond. Well, as luck would have it, I realize that my Lipton onion soup mix is no where to be found. Yup, it never made it on the receipt, either. Huge disappointment. I'm pooped at this point. Remember, this is the sole reason I stopped at Ralph's in the 1st place. Coincidentally, my Knight in Shining Armor, Martin, appears to be off and heading home. He stopped to again check-in w me. Do you know that this Prince Charming went and retrieved another Lipton Soup mix and even bought it as a courtesy? That soup might well enough have been my 'glass slipper' at the stroke of midnight. These were 4 isolated encounters with 4 outstanding Ralph's assistants. I can't speak more enthusiastically about Ralph's Westchester on Lincoln. What a wonderful way to end my Sunday eves. TYSM!! just shopped here for the first time I'm new to the store and the with the braids was extremely rude to me she pushed my cart and said you're blocking the aisle why would you do that! This used to be my go to Ralphs. I had really appreciated the cleaning in between customers and the friendliness of the staff. However that wasn't the case today. They only had 2 check out cashiers who seem to be overwhelmed. When I asked the young lady not to put my groceries on top of a strangers groceries that was standing in front of me she became irritated and asked me why. I told her because that person has been holding that sushi in her hand and now it's all on top of my stuff. This immediately made her upset and she had an attitude did not speak to me throughout my transaction and when I asked a question she gave me an answer very rude. Her badge was turned around must be for a reason. However her colleague an older black woman with salt and pepper ponytail was very nice and very kind because she saw the attitude that her colleague was presenting. The only description I have of the irritated employee is if she had braids in her hair and she's the only one with braids in her hair working that register today November 3, 2021. Ugh. I don't like coming to this Ralph's, but it's right next to the gym so I find myself here more often than I'd like. Parking is decent, I'll give them that. The checkout lines seem to take an unusually long time. My biggest gripe at the moment is the disgusting MOLD I found on the sealed refrigerated Kroger-brand biscuits I just bought. Expiration 10/20/19, purchased 10/7/19. I opened them today (10/8) and was greeted by visible tufts of mold (See pic). Nice. The package was sealed, and I had kept it refrigerated since I purchased. So gross. Why would I shop there when I can't trust that the food I buy won't be spoiled? read more
