This is a weird Ralph's. They're missing a lot of key grocery items that are common; lemon juice, nail clippers, motion sickness medicine, but they have locally made religious candles. I think they're trying to compete with Trader Joe's, but because there is only so much space, they have to sacrifice other items. It's frustrating because you can't complete your shopping, so you might as well go to a CVSS and Geandma's Market on the other side of the fwy. At least those stores are right next to each other. read more

Super bummed. I have been using this Ralph's bakery for all of my kids birthday parties for years (six years and 3 kids...that's a lot of parties.) I placed an order for my son's 7th birthday. Pokémon cupcake cake. Party is tomorrow and they just called and said they were unable to have my cake ready at agreed upon time and I would have to pick it up later. The later time didn't work since the pick up time was when the party started. I completely understand that these things happen. The guy on the phone tried but I think I should have been put in contact with a manager....It should have been handle more professionally. They made me feel like I was putting them out with not being able to change my pickup time. I told them to cancel the order and I would figure it out. Thank goodness for Walmart Bakery. The Cake designer was amazing and so accommodating. I told her that she has earned my business from now on. read more

CARMEN in the bakery is OUTSTANDING! Although I always get great service at this clean & friendly store- she goes above and beyond. Her penmanship is a tribute to a lost art. She is a consummate professional and has an infectious smile! She always adds a few appropriate decorations to my purchase to make it special. And if you're not in the loop- RALPHS makes the BEST CAKES ANYWHERE. The next time you need a cake that impresses- go see Carmen! read more

I love this place. They are quick to open up another register should it begin to get a lil' crowded. Bakery is awesome, although the coffee cake rolls covered w/cream cheese, were a lil' bit stiff.. but I usually warm 'em up any way. The aisles are ALWAYS neat and clean. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the bakery tonight. I went in there with both my daughter's to get TWO custom birthday cakes. We looked through the decoration book (which was highly disappointing - old and lacked much variety). Once we finally found one of the possible cakes I looked for a bakery worker to help. There were two young employees talking with each other at the deli cash register. I went over to ask and stood in their eyesight for about a minute. (There were no other customers anywhere in sight.) I finally interrupted them and asked if anyone was working in the bakery. The young woman said "I am, but I'm on a break." And she turned away from me. That was enough for me. I had it! I turned to my girls and told them we couldn't get their cakes at Ralph's because no one wanted to take our order or money. Horrible lack of customer service. I'm going elsewhere to buy my cakes and groceries from now on. read more

The store has a great selection and is very clean but that is about the only good thing. EVERY TIME I shop here I stand in the check out line forever! The checkers move very slow and are not friendly at all. They always look like you are bothering them. read more

The woman working the self check out is annoying--everytime I go there--she's in your face with a rushing attitude. It's a cold atmosphere--and the layout is confusing and over-whelming--they need new management or help--ugh. read more

I love this store. They have the best prices and a great selection. The employees working at this location are always friendly and helpful. I love the roasted chicken from the deli!!!! It's tasty and great for nights when you don't feel like cooking. I can't resist the sale rack in back. There is always something on there I want to try. read more

The self-checkout is great and saves time. When I do use the regular checkout, the cashiers have always been very friendly and quick.

I love the organic produce and other great organic goods but the people who bag need more training. Last week the young man put heavy objects on top of my tomatoes and when I got home I had crushed tomatoes. Yesterday at the Laguna Hills store the young man bagging my groceries forgot my milk. I had to go back today to get it. Please train your employees on how to bag and to check that they got everything. I can get all my products at Mothers Market down the street but go farther to Ralphs but won't do it much longer if the customer service at the checkout counter doesn't change. read more

This is not the first time I stopped here to get some chicken from the deli for dinner. All the pre-packaged items under the heat lamp had been out 4 hours or more. The only chicken at the counter was wings. I told the deli guy I wanted chicken for dinner but was not risking getting sick. Not sure what the disconnect is with this place. read more

I like to shop at Ralphs store except the store located at El Toro Rd. Lake Forest, CA. The checkers are very rude. The tone of the voices are very unpleasant. This store fail to realized that customers are their assets. The store manager needs to train his or her checkers that customer service is a number one aspects for the store like Ralphs. read more

Great selection, horrible service. This place closes at 1 am. I went in there tonight at 12 am to pick up a two items. When we arrived at the register, he service manager, named Patty, did not greet us. In fact, she did not say one word to us the entire transaction - except for when she grumbled a very quiet and slightly annoyed sounding "Thanks" when she handed me the receipt. Oh, but she did let out a very passive aggressive, long drawn out sigh when I went to swipe my debit card (She needed to press a button first before I could swipe my card - usually fine but she was so rude about it). Never in my life have I had a cashier go that far out of their way to not talk to me. It was the worst service I've experienced from a cashier in YEARS. And it says right there on her name tag "Service Manager". Ralph's, put a little more consideration into who you promote/hire into these positions. However, they carry a wide selection of organic products and have a good alcohol selection with a couple rare finds (Lindeman's Framboise Lambic - can usually only get at BevMo). Would have given this place 1 star, but the selection bumped it to two. read more

The worst customer service my friends and I are visiting from Guatemala and I went in to buy some beers and they didn't allow me to buy them because my iD isn't from the United States. How ridiculous I am not from this country how would I get an Id from here. They should have a book/manual with all the Id around the world to verify if it is valid if they thought it was not real. This is my grocery store. There is always friendly service, nicely stocked shelves, and a neatly maintained atmosphere. The staff will, more often than not, go above and beyond to meet your needs. I definitely recommend this location! read more

The cashiers are rude. They are not friendly at all. The first thing they say is "CLUB CARD" not even a hello first. Some of them wont even ring you up til you give them the card. What's the big deal. You can scan it anytime! They always try to push you to use the self check out. I use it now just so I don't have to deal with them. It's ok, it's just going to take their job away. Looks like it has already been working. They only have 1 cashier in the morning when I have gone. Keep on pushing us to the self check out you big dummies! I have no other problems with the store. Produce, pharmacy people, and meat dept are nice. Bakery could use some help in that department. read more

I come to this store all the time. I absolutely love it. Well stocked, great staff, and never have to wait in a line. Several times the manager has approved coupons for similar products, an immense help to my budget. I buy alot of fruit and the fruit has never been over ripe. Really like the local selection they have. This store also has great sales that recur frequently, which is great for some of the items I buy often. read more

I am not ranking this as a grocery store as I really do like the store, What my problem deals with is that I am handicapped. I shop at many stores in the OC and have come to rely on their motorized carts. My problem is that this Ralphs is one of the worst places for carts. The do not have a dedicated area for carts nor do they have any policy towards recharging them. I have to hobble in the store search for where the carts are today and then realize that they are not charged up, Management has said they are the busiest store for these carts and that may be. But I wish they gave just a semblance of caring. Find a spot for the carts and when they are in the spot then have them plugged in. read more

This store NEVER opens on time. For the past two weeks I have had to buy some groceries really early in the morning as I work at 7 am, I have been stuck outside past the opening hours waiting for them to realized they have to open the store. Every time they open at 6:05, 6:10, and even 6:15am. I have even knock on the window door as I see employees passing by, only to be ignored by them. Today I literally had to call them, to please open the door. When I asked one of the employees if they always open this late her response was "yes we usually open at around 6:05" I feel if your store always opens at 6:05 or latter than maybe change your hours on your website and door so that people knows. This store is the closest to me, but I am thinking it will probably be in my best interest to take my business elsewhere. Oh and the employee Patty was so rude to me while she was checking me out, I believe she was upset because I had complain about the store being open late. read more

This is a review after shopping here on 3 different occasions over the past two months. The store is fairly clean, the prices--well- still expensive despite all the alleged savings and low prices they are advertising, it's still a High End store. Great selections, etc - but ... I like to actually get to take home what I BOUGHT. In all 3 visits- things I paid for did not get into the shopping bags when I went home. This last time it was a cannister of powered instant lemonade- cost $2.99, the time before it was a can of decaf coffee- $6.99, and the time before that a bag of Hershey's chocolate kisses- $3.99. That's MY money you are stealing when you don't put all my purchases in the bags for me to bring home, and I won't be shopping here again if I can help it. I suppose when the monthly accounting is done at the store managers level- it must give them a big boost to make that extra profit on stuff they "inadvertently" leave out of people's shopping bags - but it really is just a joke on them...easiest way to lose customers- no matter how clean or well-stocked your store is. read more

This store needs some real leadership and a manager. The sales manager HOMA is extremely rude and unprofessional. She s clearly lost and can do nothing but bark orders at employees and show disdain towards the customers. I will never go back to this Ralph's. read more

hands down this is the best ralphs in the area. they are open until 1am when everyone else closes earlier at 12 and they carry such high volume that they often have WOOHOO discounted items throughout the store in just about every section (minus the freezer but they do have a markdown corner on one of the aisles. :) they also have manager specials on cheese/dairy and a ton of mark downs in the back by the restrooms. they also have a pretty competitive natural and organic section for items you would find at whole foods or mothers. the employees are what keep me going back. the sales manager is great and everyones always in a good mood unlike the other ralphs in the area. store is kept clean and can always count on them having just what I need whenever I go in! fresh sushi and olive bar here as well. :) read more

My favorite ralphs in the mission viejo surrounding area, all the other ralphs always have sad wilted produce section, but not this place always kept up and clean. I always, always get greeted or asked if I need help with anything at least 2 times per each visit. Very helpful and friendly staff. And talk about not waiting in line, I don't think I've ever waiting they alway immediately open another line the minute there is more than 2 people in line! Very helpful and convenient when you have two rugrats with you, and time is money ;) read more
