Update after a previous bad review. I really went in open minded. So this guy Jesse really hates the customer. I've encountered this with others before, but he always has a terrible attitude. Any customer asking a question is a huge problem, apparently. Example: Self checkout. Discount is applied at the end, I get it. When you get to the end, it seems like you've finalized everything, are about to pay and they discount hasn't been applied. you're going to ask about it. Now, as Jesse, you can answer in a friendly way or just bark "YOU GOTTA HIT THE THING AGAIN!" in a real dick way. Based on his terrible tone, this happens frequently, and if that's the case, maybe it's your checkout system. At the very least, total hatred for the customer is not a good way to go - not the first time here or with him. Good news... There are so many places to shop nearby... Trader Joes, Sprouts, Stater Bros (I won't shop at Ralphs). They don't seem angry at the people giving them a job. read more

I ordered a cookie for my son's birthday. The photo online showed a moderate amount of icing for piping. The cookie we got was COVERED with thick icing. It was gross. In the photo, after we got home we had half of the cookie left from the party and I scraped all of the icing off . And it was over a cup of icing. It made the cookie soggy. read more

Needed to go to the grocery store with my shopping list. Marcus was the person who stood out extremely positively here at Albertson's today We Observed him assisting elderly people such as locating items, and reaching high items from shelves. This use to be my favorite grocery store but not to long ago I witness something that I can't really get over. Since I have a very special nephew( Who's Special needs) who i love dearly and I wouldn't like him getting mistreated or spoke to that way. I was at the register and overheard a employee (Who's Special needs and i know because he lives in the same area as a good friend of mine)telling the other employees that there was a fire outside. And this young man who i saw on his tag name Kyle told him that he was a liar and just hallucinating. That's when I had to speak up and told him that in fact it was true and if he was to walk out he could see. Poor man was confused with Kyle's reaction and I was too. Why be so cruel? Why try to put him down? Why in front of customers? One thing I can't stand is a bully. So I will be going alot less to this store. read more

I'm not a huge fan of most grocery stores, mostly because customer service is a lost art and people seem more on edge these days. But during my last visit, I was pleasantly surprised. While standing in line for the butcher, a nice woman mentioned that I should work with Mike behind the counter. She said to wait for him specifically, since "he's the nice one". And so I did, and she was right. Very helpful and patient. Then, in the produce section, another employee helped me with digital coupons and when I couldn't get it to work, the lady working the self checkout area helped me with my purchase. This is the best store in town -- and the best secret. Albertsons upped their game long ago, and this neighborhood store is always calm and relaxed. They have all the best brands plus their house brands, great produce, little $6 lobster tails (!!), AMAZING deli-made Chicken Pot Pies -- heavy on the tender chicken and a crispy flaky crust. (I just add some green chili Cholula sauce.) The team there is also very neighborly and service-oriented -- great for bakery and service deli. Again the best part it's never hectic (ahem Ralphs) and ample parking. read more

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who has experienced this but the blonde lady at the deli is always hiding and when she's not hiding she goes out of her way to not help you. I'm not the type of person who needs to be greeted or anything but if I've been patiently standing there at an empty deli stand and the deli meat worker is clearly trying ignore me, I would at least not like the attitude when I politely ask if I could get a few slices cut. I have witnessed this with others as well. Maybe I'm wrong, am I not suppose to ask for assistance after an allowed amount of waiting time? Do I go to someone else for help cutting the meat? I just don't like the attitude I always receive. read more

Every single time I place a really large order, they make sure it is ready on time--always by 6 a.m.--and they never miss a beat. They consistently go above and beyond to help me get the very best fruit, taking the time to select the freshest and highest-quality produce. On top of that, they are always friendly, professional, and thoughtful enough to help me load my order into my car, which makes the whole process so much easier. Maybe it's just me... maybe I'm the weird one, but I like it when a cashier at least acknowledges my presence. You could completely ignore me, not even giving a "hello" or "thank you," like not bothering to even say a single word. You could do that (as you just did) but we, as customers, paying ridiculous prices, don't like it as much. I get it, semi-attractive hispanic woman, it's a holiday and maybe you'd rather not be there. Getting time-and-a-half or double-time must be killing you when it's not at all busy in the store. Thing is, I worked in retail on holidays A LOT, and was at least courteous to people. This is why I gave you a stern "You're welcome..." at the end of the transaction when you hadn't bothered to even say a single word. read more

Thankfully I found one that just had an aqua/teal border so I was able to work with it and decorated it at home. Price on receipt $15.59. I asked about this today(2 days after purchase) while in the store. This morning I called and Theresa said to ask for her she would return to me the entire price. I came in at 4 p.m. and ENRIQUE only reimbursed me $5!!! I told him what Theresa said and asked for the full price but he only handed me the $5! In these inflationary times while stores keep RAISING THEIR PRICES BY The MINUTE I expect they would want to keep a customer but don't think Enrique cares. This store is close to my office and I needed to order a quarter sheet for a small work event. The gal in the bakery was so helpful and nice. I had a choice of marble, vanilla or chocolate with either buttercream or whipped frosting. I chose the chocolate with whipped frosting. It was really tasty. The entire team loved it. Albertsons has turned into a inconvnvenient experience since their crappy digital coupons and pick 4 and whatever other games were established. They have pick 4 and save, then you find out they have 2 different sections of "pick 4". Then this causes confusion and more time at the register. Could they make this anymore confusing!! Or, Who wants to waste minutes on any sale item to pull out their phone, FIND the app, query up the item, and clip a coupon? No one does! Maybe that's why they make it confusing!!!! So if you didn't play their game right then they can charge you the full price that is usually higher than other stores. Lately, I have switched over to Albertson's from Ralph's on El Toro in Lake Forest. Ralphs has recently been putting up displays in the middle of the isles all over the store, so much that you can't get your grocery cart down an aisle without bumping into things. They have changed the store radically within the last couple of months, and in my opinion, none of the changes are good. It's starting to look like a wholesale warehouse, without the good prices. Albertson's, on the other hand, is still a nice grocery store with everything you need. A good bakery department, a good butcher department. And good rotisserie chickens. The last two times I bought rotisserie chickens at Ralph's, they were almost raw. They were so lightly cooked. read more

**Florist Price Gouging at Albertsons in Lake Forest, CA** I stoped at this specific store only because I was going to a funeral. I picked a bunch of white roses at $14.99, a bunch of greens at $6.99 and asked the lady to put them together and put a black ribbons. A very rude lady with no manners at all said our price for this is $29.99. I said total is $21.98 and every grocery charges $2-$4. She said go there, this is our price! I did not have time to argue with her. When I was at the register the store manager passed by and I brought it to his attention, he too said this is our price and simply walked away! To make sure I am not mistaken, yesterday I stopped by my local Ralph's they said they charge a flat $3 free. I Enjoy shopping at this local grocery store I'm a nurse i do long shifts this is my go to go store I love the variety and freshly stock that fresh made produce have in stock they always have fruit and yogurts in stock especially the grab and go's variety section i go everyday to pick up my items. I wanna give my gratitude to Dominique she goes above and beyond her expectations are wonderful, she always greets me very friendly and positive , if I don't find what I'm looking for she goes out of her way her customer service is wonderful. My other nurses are always happy when I take them parfait yogurts and fruits . This is arguably the cleanest grocery store in the area. It's got a great selection of products and the employees are very helpful. Just yesterday Sherry was checking out my purchases. When she saw I had a prime rib, she asked if I had clicked on the coupon on my Albertson's app; I confirmed i had, but when she scanned it, the price did not drop to the special sale price, so she manually computed the difference and gave me that amount off of the purchase. Sherry really went out of her way to delight this customer. I will be back. read more

What should be a quick trip to Albertsons always turns into a lengthy and cumbersome purchase ever since their crappy digital coupons were established. First, who wants to waste minutes EACH TIME on any sale item to pull out their phone, FIND the app, query up the item, and clip a coupon? No one, there's the answer! Then, when you get to the register, items aren't tagged and the coupons aren't working. A Manager has to take the items to another register to get it to work. They admit the complaints with the digital coupons. What a nightmare. I just will shop at Ralph's or Stater Bros. Had another great experience at this location and feel I need to post it. Have been shopping here for 25 years and finally downloaded the app. It's not super user friendly BUT the staff is. And they're always helpful with my questions. Yesterday Gayle, my checker guided me through it with kindness and patience. Fortunately, there was no one behind me that was inconvenienced. As annoying as the app is, I have saved 25.00 so far this month and it's only the 13 th. I really like the manager, wish I could remember her name. She doesn't hide out in the office and actually smiles. Not crazy about the self check but does make it easier for small purchases. It's a great place. I used to go to this over competitors just because it was close and I've been going for well over a decade now. You get a sense of loyalty when you've been to these places many times. However, two bad experiences with different workers left a sour taste. I've been meaning to write this review and now I remembered after years. First off, I understand anything except yelling at customers. Specifically because my deaf brother didn't know they were talking to him. If the lady is still working there "Either listen or get out". You know who you are and it's just an umbrella. That wasn't the only case. Even a year after when I went back with my friend I was just pushing a skateboard and not "riding it". Of course another employee behind the register congregated by 4 people chatting yells at me despite not seeing the fact that I stopped doing what the older kinder employee said. A long line of words and another "get out". Like are you serious? Say pick it up or come walk up and talk to me regarding the problem. I actually started driving to Ralph's or Stater Bros because of this scenario. Next experience was just another terrible employee who wasn't rude but just didn't want to work there. I just wanted eggs and ice cream and decided to say hello at the checkout. Even talked about the weather but I guess it didn't matter because she definitely didn't want to do any small talk besides being register. Guess it happens when you're understaffed at the register and needed to bag it yourself after checking out. Back to the point, her only response was my total. Under no circumstance will I ever recommend this place nor will I go back even if the place has gotten different management and workers completely. I really enjoy coming here. Easy parking and friendly employees who never get upset when you ask them for help. What I like the most is they have a huge Asian food selection, which is perfect for my girlfriend. We actually live next to two closer markets but come here for the selection. Also very vegetarian friendly. The only issue is the plaza is a little run down, but that isn't the stores fault and doesn't matter once you walk inside. Highly recommend. read more

Recently purchased 2 Amazon gift cards that were obviously from a faulty batch because when you scratch to reveal the code to redeem there was a number missing on both of them!!! The food is good, it'll last me about two weeks or a month. The service is good, however the management is terrible. I used to work here back in February. Cristino was a total asshole, I was living in my car before I got the job and I lived with my friend and j had to pay bills and rent. Cristino had a problem with my dress code. But any other manager didn't have a problem. He told me if I couldn't afford pants than to go to Salvation Army. He was so bold to assume that I could spend my lousy paychecks on pants. Other coworkers have had problems with him. The only manager that is professional is Karen. Biggest sweetheart. I love her she's so nice to everyone. Robin is the store manager and she has favorites. She favorites people unfortunately. I got my friend a job here and they treated him like shit. Except for Karen and Enrique, they are the only two managers that are nice, and treat everyone equally with respect. Robin, Cristino, and two other managers are entitled. Other coworkers felt the same but were afraid to speak up. I reported Cristino and he started to treat me nice. But I didn't like how fake he was. Overall it's a good store to shop at. I shopped at the Albertsons on 24251 Muirlands Blvd in Lake Forest. The store was nice and clean. The cashier was nice. I was not allowed to take photos. I didn't fill too comfortable shopping at that store. I bought; bananas, mini bran muffins, paper towels, two boxes of Swiss rolls, wheat bread and Coke Zero. The soy milk, cereal, frozen yogurt & dinners, were too pricy for me. The cashier asked me, to take a market survey online, that they should be a ten or they don't count. I did not like that idea. There are some bad reviews referring to face coverings ‍ 1.You have no idea if the people without face coverings have a medical condition (like myself) 2.
