TikTok wins. Free fry. Catfish.
Jenny D.

Headed to my nearest Ralph's after finding myself doom scrolling on TikTok. Yes, you can absolutely purchase catfish from the seafood and have them fish fry it, complimentary. The service was helpful, no wait. 15 minutes to fry. Grabbed a 1.5 lbs for myself and family, veggies, steamed some rice and for under $15 the meal served 3 people. That's ridiculously cheap when fast food for one person averages $11-13. $15 for seafood that feeds multiple people is outstanding. Clean seafood counter, helpful associate, I'll absolutely be back.

First time coming to this place,, very disappointed with the whole experience. First of all I got stuck in the elevator for a while and when the elevator doors finally opened I told the manager that I had been stuck in there and he said "oh yeah that elevator doesn't work" why can't they put a sign on the doors before you actually walk in. Second I had to go back to return the $8.99 apples that I bought because they had gone bad. Food selection was not great and a lot of the fruit and vegetables looked old. Thirdly the bathroom was filthy. Definitely not going back there again.

Where the hell is the Oreo? This place has the worst selection.... You can't tell me Armenians prefer Eminem over Oreo
Vahig M.

I love the employees and they actually have a lot of the stuff. I actually want now with a couple exceptions. We finally have the Oreo flavor yogurt. They should get the strawberry now lol The real problem is they never have cashiers out helping ! It's 640. It's busy and they only have number 10 open. It's ridiculous. Nobody wants to do self check out. Everybody gets upset. Why do you have to make your experience horrible!

Filthy filthy filthy!!!

Well I was shocked when I walked into the restroom this afternoon - I have never in my life seen such a filthy bathroom and they had no toilet paper either - really makes me nervous to ever shop here again - this is an huge indicator of the cleanliness of the store and all the products in it!

Went in this morning because I didn't have bacon... I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but this bacon was disgusting. It was brown, shriveled, and starting to look like jerky. It looked like it was returned and then just put back OR someone left it out to be like that and then decided to NOT throw it away and put it out for people to buy. Seriously nasty and made me not want bacon anymore. I also want to add that Kelly is terrible and insufferable. She tried to make my boyfriend and I seem stupid when we scanned something and it didn't go through! She then proceeded to watch us scan our belongings as if we were stealing. When we were done she laughed and said "Was that so hard?" It took everything in me to stay composed.

Pink unicorn 5 cupcake cake

I ordered cupcakes on the website with a few days advance. I went to pick them up and the bakery didn't have it. They ended up making it in an hour especially for me and giving me $5 off. The cupcakes were beautiful and delicious. I'd order again but I'll be calling when I order to make sure they receive them.

Big Square is my favorite market for bread and flowers! If…read moreyou love traditional Puri bread, this is the place! Made with quality flour and baked fresh hourly, they are usually served hot from the oven, and I can't resist eating 1/4 of it before I get home. The fresh cut flowers and plants welcome you into this Armenian market, with tall, vibrant roses unlike those found at most florists. Big Square also offers a solid selection of produce, meats, pastres, alcohol, and other goods. Specialty items like Armenian coffee, unique condiments, and hard to find deli products are always available. For meat products, they have frozen quail, which is usually difficult to find... however, I have never been a fan of their other meat items. The one time I purchased shank and liver, it wasn't as fresh and of quality I anticipated. Parking can at times be difficult and drivers are a bit aggressive. I suggest shopping here during slow hours vs. peak times.

We've shopped here many times, but after today we won't be back. And apparently the store doesn't…read morewant us back either. On October 7, 2026, around 12:40 PM we bought Monural. The shelf tag directly under it said $18.99. At home we saw on the receipt that we had been charged $59.99. We came back around 6:30 PM and found that the $18.99 tag actually belonged to a different product, Miramistin, which wasn't even on that shelf. It was simply placed under the Monural. Monural had no price tag of its own anywhere, and there was no $59.99 tag on any of the medicine shelves, so the only price a customer could see was $18.99. The product names on the tags are printed in tiny font, while the prices are large and bold, so it's easy to read the price and miss which product it's for. When we explained this at Customer Service, the first thing the employee said was "So what do you suggest?" There was not a single "sorry." She offered to refund only half of $59.99, because one of the two sachets had already been used. We said it was the store's mistake and that it looked like deception. She replied that yes, there was a mistake, but it was ours, not theirs: we should have read the price tags more carefully and checked the total at the register. Then she said: "I'll give you your money back since you say it's deception, but don't buy anything here anymore." We got the $41 difference plus tax, $45.51 total. Even then, the employee first tried to take back the medicine we had already paid for, and handed it back rudely when we pointed this out. That's how the store treats regular customers. A simple "sorry, our mistake" would have been enough. Check your receipts carefully if you shop here, and make sure the shelf tags actually match the products. Photos of the shelf and both receipts are attached.

On the contrary, the service has always been high, even better than in many other stores. As for the manager Lilit, I can only speak positively about her. From my personal experience of communicating with her, I can say that she has a high level of professionalism, and it is unacceptable to offend someone on a personal level. I have personally seen her benevolent approach to each customer. Although problems can arise in any store, this is not a sufficient reason to offend or treat a person disrespectfully. As for the general level of the store, I can confidently say that it maintains very high standards.

They bring a vibrant mix of Armenian, Iranian, and Mediterranean flavors under one roof. Every time I visit, it feels like a little taste of home especially the candy section. It instantly reminds me of my grandma's treats, just nostalgic and delightful! Their meat section is also a standout; the mortadella cold cut and sausages are exceptional so professional and rich in flavor, it's a must-try. Beyond that, they have a wonderful array of Persian snacks, cookies, and a wide selection of fresh produce. I'm always so happy shopping here; it's clean, well-stocked, and the staff are super friendly. There are always plenty of employees, so it never feels chaotic. The only small downside is that some of the refrigerated foods are a little pricey, but considering the quality, it's a fair trade-off. Plus, you can order hot foods to go! they grill up delicious meats right on site. Parking is at the back, which is super convenient, even if the front lot is a bit tight. Overall, this is a gem in Glendale, and I highly recommend it!

I've driven past this place for years, and I'm honestly mad at myself for only trying it now…read more It's a small shop with only three tables for dine-in seating, but what they lack in space, they more than make up for in quality and service. They have a wide selection of chips and sandwiches, and the staff was incredibly kind and patient in walking me through their menu and recommending some of their most popular sandwiches. They even checked in while I was eating to make sure everything was up to par. That kind of attentiveness goes a long way! I tried the Spicy Italiano and pastrami, and both were fantastic, but the Spicy Italiano definitely stole the show. The bread-to-filling ratio was spot-on for both sandwiches. The exterior had that perfect crunch without being overly bready, and you can genuinely tell these sandwiches are made with care. Every layer was evenly distributed, so you get a little bit of everything in each bite without the fillings spilling out the back. Sandwich engineering at its finest! The Spicy Italiano was my favorite. The meats tasted high-quality and it was perfectly balanced with the pepperoncini and cherry pepper aioli. This cold sandwich is the perfect meal for hot summer days. The pastrami was another pleasant surprise. I'm usually not a fan of thinly sliced pastrami because it can easily turn out dry or overly salty, but this was neither. It was juicy, tender, and perfectly balanced with the roll. Once again, everything stayed neatly in place as I worked my way through the sandwich. No runaway fillings here! Parking can be a little tricky, but there's a small driveway that's convenient if you're just stopping by to pick up a sandwich you've ordered ahead of time.

Honestly, it's the cleanest and most organized international market I've ever been in. I was browsing for breakfast options and looking over the vegetables when a sweet elderly gentleman greeted me with a big smile, speaking Armenian. I didn't understand a word, but I could tell from his tone he was asking if I needed help finding something. I just smiled and said "thank you, thank you" -- I couldn't understand him, but the warmth came through loud and clear. A little while later he came back and, gesturing enthusiastically, insisted I try their beautiful tiramisu. I'm a traveling teacher with just a cooler in my car and one mouth to feed, so I pointed to myself and held up one finger to explain it was just me. He seemed curious about where I was from, so I pulled up the Yelp app on my phone and told him I'd driven up from San Diego after finding the store online. That's when the owner stepped in, laughing and saying something like "don't mind him." I told him not at all -- his colleague had given me such a genuinely warm welcome. The owner asked what I was trying to communicate, and once I explained, he translated the whole thing for the gentleman. He then asked if I wanted any recommendations, and of course I said yes. He suggested sliced meat, a mix of green and black olives, cucumbers pickled with beets, and sliced cheese. When he asked if there was anything else, I remembered I needed vegetables, so I went back to grab those. While I shopped, he came over and made me a fresh cup of coffee, on the house. He asked again if there was anything else, so I asked what else he'd recommend -- he suggested sliced halibut and a couple other fish, told me to take three pieces, then prepared and packaged everything himself on a tray. As I got ready to leave, he asked me to come back, and I asked for his card -- he handed me three and told me to share them with all my friends. He even offered to let me sit out front and enjoy my coffee, but I had to get back on the road to Santa Maria. Just before I walked out, he stopped me one more time: "Before you leave, I'd like to give you a bottle of Armenian water -- it came all the way from Armenia." And that tiramisu I'd been eyeing? I ended up bringing it home with me, and it did not disappoint. I left thoroughly impressed. The genuine warmth, the care, the way they made me feel like part of the family after just one visit -- this is what makes a place special. I'll absolutely be back, and I'm bringing friends next time.
