This Ralph surprises me. I live a few minutes away, but when I moved to Gardena initially avoided it because I thought it have slow service. However, every time I go I am pleasantly surprised by the quick lines and good cashier service. I also like that they have self-checkout, although the lines are so good I haven't had to use them (I use them when I don't want to wait). The prices and product choices are good. The parking is ok. The downside for me is the small bakery and sometimes dealing with inconsiderate people. But what are ya going to do, right? read more

This is your average Ralph's with the added benefit of a full pharmacy, which is nice. After living out in the SGV recently snd now back down here, one plus is that they are considerably cheaper than other locations/regions, which makes sense. I've frequented this store hundreds of times over the years and I have thought to myself more than a few times that their fruit and vegetable section is slacking compared to other stores, I wonder why. The store got a facelift sometime within the last.. I want to say 7-8 years still no change in selection of produce.. They did add a huge selection of soda and sports drinks.. I live near by so this is the Ralph's that I normally go to. I really like the manager there, I think she's an amazing worker she's always nice and helpful No matter how busy she is. She definitely needs to get payed more! . Well... I'm not 100% sure if she's the manager but she's African-American with hair up to her shoulders... Anyways she's honestly an amazing worker! Prices here are okay just like any other Ralph's, marked up a little to high at times, but there's a wide selection so you can pick what price point your comfortable with. Anyways, the reason I gave this location a 5/5 is because I left my phone there today and by the time I got home I was so scared that somebody had stolen it...anyways I rushed back to the store and likely A very nice man turned it in!!!! the security guard and manager locked my phone and waited for me to come back! On multiple occasions that I've shopped at this Ralph's location, there's an individual by the name of Ron who almost never disappoints to yell or give an attitude to customers who are in line. A large amount of customers appears to not speak very good English and or elderly. We advised the store manager twice about Ron and as far as I know, he has not learned anything about better customer service or how to manage his anger. As I'm writing this review, I will also submit a survey online hoping it'll make it to corporate and they can "Make Things Right". read more

They fry the fish to perfection with the seasoning that you want, my boy Corey never fails, excellent service and always making everybody is helped, I go here all the time for salmon and fried fish and it ain't stopping no time soon! read more

The service from the cashiers in my opinion is based on the shift. Some are friendlier than others. I was at the store after 8:30pm and i just started to wait in line when a friendly woman that was at the self checkout said I could get out faster using the self-checkout. She even offered to do the scanning for me. I wish Ralph's had more cashiers like her. read more

If it were possible to give negative starts I would. I came into this location and the manager was on the register. He as asked me for my Ralph's card and I told him I only wanted to use my Ralph's card for the fruit. He grew agitated and said well don't you want to get all of your points and use it for everything!? Confused why he was so concerned about MY points I repeated I would like to only use my rewards number for my fruit. I went to swipe my card and put my pin number in. He pressed a button and said what ever you just did I wasn't ready so swipe it again it didn't go through. I asked could it have been the button you just pressed that canceled it? He replies " Oh my gosh" under his breath he says" I can't stand when y'all come in here. "I said pardon me sir what did you just say? He began to raise his voice saying can we just move on!? I asked why he was raising his voice and why am I not allowed to ask a question. He told me it was the way I speak? Again I say excuse me? How are you the manager speaking to customers like this!? At the point I'm upset. And I tell him I heard you say that you " I can't stand when y'all come in here" and the way he was speaking to a customer and handling this is a shame that he's someone that's been representing Ralphs for twenty years. Never in my life have I ran into any racial issues this was a first. I was so upset and shaking. I had to make a quick run for some prune juice because I was extremely constipated. This young fellow named Chris helped me out because I couldn't find what aisle it was on. I just had the most awful experience here. There is absolutely no reason why the manager on duty should be allowed to interact with the public. I went to buy fresh chicken. I got to the meat section and there was none to be had. While I am fully aware that that there is a recall of the Foster Farms brand, I expected something to be there as there are other packagers of chicken. I am recovering from thyroid cancer so cannot eat any meat products that already have salt added. I went to the manager's desk to ask. All I got was a muttered response of 'there's a recall', when I mentioned there must be some other brand out there that Ralphs can stock, I was just ignored. He was so condescending that I really wanted to punch him in the face. Rather than that I just walked out. I have NEVER been in any supermarket in the world that failed to stock fresh chicken. So disappointed. I opted out of going to the fish market since I was already at Ralph's shopping and bought filet of sole and got them to fry it for free. My first red flag was I told the guy what I wanted 1 lb of filet of sole fried hard and he asked me what kind of fish I wanted. 2nd red flag should've been once I got it, it was barely fried with no fish fry!!I paid for my groceries and drove all the way home with my mouth watering hoping the fish at least tasted good with whatever seasoning (that wasn't fish fry that I'm used to) but once I bit into it... BONES!!!! 3rd red flag I didn't realize was the fish was straight! Fried fish fillets curl up!!I had to spit out what I had started chewing!! Filet means no bones! What the hell!!! If I didn't live over 5 miles away, I would take this mess back. The more and more I look at it, I think I just might take it back anyway and stop at the fish market instead. read more

The worst customer service received since 59 years from a store manager not initial employees. I was checked out at cashier line at 06;00 PM on 08/19/2016. He charged little higher price than I used to pay. I shopped grocery and pharmacy every week. always paid same amount per LB. I asked to him that you charged higher than normal with lower voice. I called to ask if they carry "grass fed" butter. The store manager Steve, says "Nooooo! Ive never heard of that, we dont carry that". If you dont carry something thats fine but dont get an attitude with your customers. I just asked a question because I want to shop at your store but when you get attitude from the manager thats a sign for me to stay away. Store is always clean, but if I had a dollar for every time I ran across expired food! I used to get home before I would notice and have to drive back. Now I always check in the store for expiration date. Check dates and if it's expired take it to the manager. I've complained so many times and still nothing done. section is the worst. I love this Ralph's! I've been coming here since I was a wee little tot. I've seen it go through construction and seen many employees come and go. But I must say its the best its ever been right now! What I like about Ralph's is their customer satisfaction. I'm never unsatisfied with them but if I were to be I know they'd take care of it with kindness. I've overheard customers complain about soggy produce etc, and they offer $$ back with no hesitation! They have a really great selection of wine and craft beers! This is definitely something new because before it was slim pickings lol. Now I get lost on the aisle because I can't make up my mind! The deli and bakery here is great too! Often they have samples of really tasty treats at the bakery. So help yourself! The deli always has a good variety of meats and cheeses. I love to buy my sandwich meats fresh so I'm at the deli at least once a week! He he All in all I love this Ralph's! I only come here because it's close to home. This Ralphs sucks. They hardly ever have enough baby formula in stock. I am a little on the fence about this Ralph's location, do not know if I would return here since there is a bigger one closer to home. This store is awfully cramped, which is why the aisles are set up the way they are. The bakery aisle could be smaller to clear up some room maybe. I hate most ralphs with a passion. They did recently update this one so it looks nice. However, there's just something about ralphs that irks me. Their bakery sucks compareed to Von's. Their deli section doesn't Have as nice cheeses. They have a lousy selection of eggs, meat, juice and milk. The clerks here are nice... And it hAs self check out... I visit this Ralphs pretty often because it is so close to my house. And although I would prefer Vons over Ralphs, I usually end up here since its closer. They recently remodeled this location. The staff here is pretty nice and helpful usually - I've never had any issues; and they typically have sufficient staff at the checkout to get you in and out - I like the self-scan though. They're typically stocked with everything I need and the prices are decent. Parking is always easy when I go. read more

My go-to grocery store. Ample parking, nice selection of products, pretty clean, shelves always stocked without out to stocks items, and self checkout is always open. The ralphs app actually works pretty well too and saves me money. Don't have any plans on going anywhere else soon. read more
