But I went just the same. This is decor wise, a simple bar. Tables are available, and a separate room is to what I think was the south (left side as you enter). There were slot machines along the wall and the the room to the south. The mens room was nice and clean, and had good water pressure. No bad smells! I ordered lunch. After asking what was good - the menu was pretty extensive and had a bunch of options, I kept remembering the chicken reviews, so I went with the chicken fingers and fries. The Root Beer soft drink server was down for maintenance, so I ended up with a lemonade. The chicken fingers didn't disappoint. They were served fresh from the fryer, and somehow held the heat quite well - better than the usual fast food fare. I agree, the breading was out of this world in terms of lightness - it was very good, and the chicken tasted fresh and good. I found the fries to be good as well. The Cole slaw could have used something more - it was a bit on the bland side. Give yourself some time, take the drive, and try the place out. The server was quite pleasant. Keep in mind, there is a 3% upcharge if you use a credit card, which isn't unusual.

I asked for my filet to be cooked to medium- and, to be frank I'm away from home 100 nights a year and I eat in a lot of steakhouses. My filet was cooked to perfection! It really exceeded my expectations. Not that I had low expectations- but, basil tree is not a steakhouse. I also ordered the Caesar salad which was also quite nice. In short, the level of service and hospitality, the quality of the food, and the nice ambience are definitely a reason for you to have dinner at the Basil Tree. And for the value the kids had a good time. We had food at the bar. Typical bowling alley kinda fare. I had the BLT and deep fried mushrooms. The Hubs had the same but had fried pickles instead. They don't have ANY balls less than 9 pounds. I can just about lift the 9-pounders, but it's hard for me to bowl properly because they make my arm twist a bit when I bowl because they are so heavy. I feel like the only way children can even bowl is if they use the alligator ramps that they have off to the side for balls to get pushed off of. The second thing I wanted to mention is their ridiculous "no outside food" rule. My mom and I had just walked over from Butterfly after having a late breakfast to meet some of my family for a couple games when a lady behind the counter refused to let me keep my food inside the building with me, even though I literally told her at least twice that it was just leftovers from butterfly and that it would just be sitting on the table. Not like I would have popped it open to eat it while bowling. I just find it ridiculous that she couldn't just make an exception and allow me to keep my food inside there with me, because it forced me to have to go out to put it in my aunt's trunk until we were done. That was just unnecessary in general because my waffle pieces were in a foam container and nothing was spilling out or anything. I just want to warn people that if you are going there to play after eating at butterfly, I suggest either finishing at the restaurant or throwing your food out if you leave your car parked by Butterfly.

The rice was very flavorful, soft, and fluffy. The beans were just average, they were fine but not unique in any way. Salsa had a good flavor and a little heat. Everyone in our group was very happy with their food. Servings were generous and prices reasonable. Service was fast for a food truck, and we didn't have to wait long at all for our food.

The location has some interesting features, including lights, a pool table, and gambling machines, as well as a full bar. The prices were quite reasonable for the quality of food, and the tables and service were good. Give this place a try.
