My family ate some wonderful hot meals. We ordered, Chicago Dog (2x), Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Brisket Dog, Italian Beef, Crinkle Cut Fries, Cheese Curds and Fresh Cut Fries. We had a great time here. We met the owner, Phil, and talked to him for a little bit. The owner radiates such enthusiasm for each customer that's contagious and is no wonder why this place is so popular and has over 4-Star glowing reviews. He was so kind to us that he made us, from scratch, complimentary two hot Pretzels and Onion Rings. If you've ever had hot Pretzels before... You've never tried these homemade Pretzels. As we were dividing each pretzel apart, it was so soft to the touch and the steam was coming out. Almost something out of professional commercial, in slow motion. The food, the atmosphere and the entire staff was genuinely amazing to serve us and other guests in the restaurant. The menu selection is large, so be sure to bring your hungry belly. They also offer gaming rooms for those that enjoy gambling . Overall I will be returning here as this is my second time coming here. First time was December 24, 2024. We walked in, and you have to get close to the south edge of the place to see the menu board, we ordered our food which was made fresh, and sat down in a booth. There was a large original porcelain Coke sign on the wall behind us. The food takes some time as it is made to order - no drawer heated burgers here. I had a cheeseburger and fries, my wife had their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Let's tackle the Philly first. She ate it, but it was over-cheesed, and the green peppers looked like carrots. My cheeseburger was fresh off the grill. If you look at the picture it was wrapped with the outside of the wrapper instead of the inside - not a big deal, but odd. The fries were fresh, and if you are sodium restricted, didn't seem to have any salt on them. Salt, napkins, ketchup and what not are directly in front of the order counter. So the food was okay, not great. Service was solid. The decorations were impressive. Oh, and the Root Beer - this is an old Dog n'Suds, and the Root Beer was epically good.

Their buns are made daily in house from scratch, as is their chili for chili dogs. They have the best fresh-cut fries, too. I highly recommend a visit if you venture to the Chicago west burbs. Gyros are best served fresh off the skewer, so I was listening for the cutting - I didn't hear it, but I saw the skewer rotating. The gyros and fries were both fresh. The drink machine worked properly, and had some interesting brands to choose from. It's a Pepsi shop. The tzatziki sauce could have used more garlic, and more sauce on the gyro. It took me around 2 minutes of effort to get the ketchup dispenser primed. The place could use more lights, and a deep floor cleaning.
