We stopped here while estate sale shopping and we didn't regret it. I ordered their Mexican skillet and my wife ordered their Chicago Bear skillet which is basically a meat lovers skillet. It comes with either toast or pancakes. The food was great! The salsa had a definite Mexican salsa flair to it and the pancakes were perfect. Our servers were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was clean and well decorated. This gem also serves dinner if you're wanting something other than breakfast. read more

This is hands down our favorite breakfast spot in the country. We visit regularly for breakfast, which is consistently delicious, comforting, and made with care. Their lunch menu is just as impressive--full of hearty, home-style dishes that never disappoint. If you're craving quality, home-cooked food in a welcoming atmosphere, great service, I highly recommend giving this place a try. read more

Always a good meal at a reasonable price. Cash only, so plan ahead. A hidden gem, and worth a visit.

An unfortunate incident at Eggs in Paradise in Sterling today highlighted the need for better understanding and adherence to the law. I have a mental health-trained service dog and was denied seating, spoken to rudely, and ridiculed by the waitress at EGGS IN PARADISE, Sterling. According to the waitress, the manager was too busy to talk to me and could deny service to whomever he chose. I took the last seat and called the police. The waitress informed people around me that I would not be served no matter how long I sat there. Seeking assistance from the police and sitting for a half-hour in a full restaurant with customers staring, I was granted service but banned from the establishment. The waitress said I was aggressive. I had a soda, never spoke to the manager, even though I requested repeatedly, and the waitress announced, "This is hilarious," as I quietly left. This behavior not only violated multiple laws, including the Illinois White Cane Law and the ADA, but also displayed a lack of empathy and understanding towards the disabled and service dog community. Please forward this to stress the need for Businesses to educate themselves about the rights of individuals with service dogs and train their staff to be respectful and accommodating. Let's work towards creating a more understanding society for everyone, including those with disabilities and service animals. It's time for change, and together, we can make it happen. Shame on you, Eggs in Paradise. Wish I good give you ZERO stars, but can't post without at least 1 star read more

They used to have the best hashbrowns in town like Dennys. They still serve a good breakfast , but their hashbrowns are like the other diners. It's so hard to find crispy hashbrowns. read more

This place is a disgrace denying a paying customer service with her service dog. People with service dogs should not be treated this way. i don't even want to leave one star but had to pick one! read more

We had stopped here numerous times in the past for breakfast and sometimes lunch. My husband told me today that he will no longer frequent this restaurant. So many people -- standing room only. We left and went back a few hours later. My omelet was cold. No hash browns on the plate and I thought it was always accompanying an egg dish and you either had a choice of toast or a pancake. The potatoes should have been there. My husband's BLT was not good -- toast was burnt; bacon was cold. I had to wait several minutes for a refill of coffee. The waitress stood behind our table talking to other diners while she was holding our food orders in her hands! A very unpleasant experience to say the least. My birthday was yesterday and we wanted to dine out for breakfast today for a little extra goodness to start off the weekend. It was not a good start. read more

This place is a really good restaurant. To start things off, the food was pretty good and filling. Next is the service. It's okay, but nothing great. Last is the ambiance. It's pretty decent for atmosphere. read more

The food is good but the cinnamon rolls are terrible. I threw the cinnamon roll in the garbage it was so bad.

The place Is a little grungy. The food was just..ok. I had the comet pork tenderloin thing. My food was cold and the peppers and onions were pratically raw. The dish was very greasy. My wife had biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were not fresh at all. They were hard and her food was cold. Usually I clean my plate but I left about half of it. I avoided this place as they only accept cash but I finally had some cash on me and decided to give it a try. Maybe I will try it again. read more

Went to Eggs In paradise for a late breakfast on beautiful Sunday. They have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options and will add and substitute what they can upon request:) The food came out fairly quickly. The servers there were very polite and helpful. We ordered a lot of food for a low cost. I would definitely come here again. Thank you for the EGGSellent Service ! read more

The waitress (possibly the owner?) who waited on us was very polite, friendly and overall welcoming. I was rather put off by the energy of the other waitress. The breakfast food is a little high priced, but the quaint and mid-century modern atmosphere seems to make up for it. I did feel as if the hash browns were undercooked due to the abundance of them. The coffee wasn't the greatest thing. I would contemplate returning. read more

Everything is always perfect from Eggs In Paradise. Portions are large and always fill you up. Customer service is awesome. Def the best breakfast place in Sterling / Rock Falls. read more

Everything on the menu is outstanding! The name may be misleading; there is a full menu with more than just eggs. I order the Mediterranean salad at least twice a week. You can't go wrong with the soup which comes with your entree. My favorite is the rueben soup. It doesn't matter what you order, you can't go wrong. The service staff is pleasant and friendly. The owner greets and visits with his customers to make sure every customer enjoys his or her meal and is completely satisfied. read more

Service was fine. But the food was just plain bad. Breakfast, how could you screw that up? I wonder. I wonder how everything had a metallic taste to it? Some kind of cleaner? Did we scrub the grill and not rinse it? In any case, the food was bad. My son got sick later. Don't know if the sick and restaurant were connected. But we won't be back. read more

Management is terrible food is mediocre at best the waitress was extremely rude ! I would not recommend this place will not be returning there and advise the same! Disappointed is an understatement! read more

The service was good - considering they were so busy at the time. I thought it was a good sign when I came in and there were 2 other groups waiting to be seated. Although I love the "Greasy Spoon" category of eateries, this place truly deserves the name. The food was greasy and unattractive and flavorless. Many people seem to like the place, but it is not for me. read more

Eggs In Paradise definitely beats all of the other greasy spoon restaurants in town. They have THE BEST breakfast, and their burgers are nothing but heavenly. Not to mention- the staff is just so welcoming! Definitely recommend giving Eggs In paradise a try, you won't regret it. read more

If you didn't know, this place has won best breakfast as voted by locals for the last three years in a row! I hit up Paradise for breakfast every time I'm in town. Portions are awesome for my big appetite and the potatoes are what separate this restaurant from the others. This last trip I got the Comet Skillet with scrambled eggs. This skillet could be on "Man vs Food" Our server was exceptionally great, she was one of those people that brighten up the day for everyone around her. I noticed a lot of "regulars" too, always indicative of a quality joint. If you haven't been, go! read more

Yummy breakfast! I liked their two eggs any style with bacon, hash brows, eggs over medium, a pancake, & a half order of biscuits & gravy. Geez, I guess I ate a lot, haha! The husband did not care for the Warrior skillet though because it was way too greasy that he could not even finish it :/ Recommend though! read more

Traveling through and drove 20 miles out of to find a breakfast place. THEY ARE CLOSED MONDAY. Just a heads up.

Oh where do I even begin? First of all what @Jim L is saying is not true at all! I have been a customer at Eggs In Paradise for about a year now and I just want to say that they are doing everything in their power to try to keep everybody safe during this pandemic. They enforce wearing a mask (unlike many other breakfast places In Sterling I have been to, I won't mention any names), they disinfect the menus after each use, AND the cooks also wear masks and gloves. I disagree with what his review said and wanted to share my opinion as well. Eggs In Paradise is probably one of the safer restaurant to go to, if anything. Nobody has to be "concerned" about their health if they go to Eggs In Paradise like Jim said. They have followed ALL state guidelines and protocols since the very beginning and are currently CLOSED for dine in while other places are OPEN. Get a load of this guy. read more

Abysmal customer service. A friend and I came in to eat for brunch on a Sunday, so it was busy, but we got there, got drinks, but ended up waiting thirty minutes to have our orders taken. A couple that came fifteen minutes after us literally had their orders taken within five minutes and had their soup before anyone even asked us what we wanted. We had to try to flag down the waitress several times before she came over. No apology whatsoever for the delay, and it's not like we were easy to miss, since we were at a table right next to the door. We ended up leaving because we weren't thrilled on waiting even longer for just diner food and ended up getting better customer service at Culver's. Also, the table set up is super weird, with one long table (made up of individual two person table) in the middle of the diner (not a bar top!) where you're literally elbow to elbow with a bunch of other strangers. They had other booths and tables, but this dominated the diner. They could easily have broken up the tables with the space they had and made it less weird, but they didn't. It was just a really weird set up. The place is also pretty dirty looking and didn't look well maintained at all. read more

The food is always fresh and delicious! The orange juice is freshly squeezed. The yolk in our eggs is orange so you know it's fresh farm eggs. Everything always tastes great. We tried biscuits and gravy today and it was delicious. The service is always exceptional and fast. No complaints at all. We are customers for life! read more

Not the greatest. Food is greasy and a couple people from our party didn't feel well after eating here. Probably won't go back

This place is amazing! If you are out on a road trip, this is a great place to stop and get a good meal. It was super affordable, very laid-back, and our waitress was friendly. We had real, homemade chicken tenders - highly recommended! We paid something like $20 with tax and tip for a ridiculously huge amount of food, all of it wonderful!
