If you've never been to a Rally's raise your hand! How about Checkers? No, not like the auto parts store of the 90s that your dad used to drag you into and all you wanted to do was scratch n' sniff the car trees. I mean the restaurant. The iconic drive thru, that is usually located in what offered the cheapest real estate in town (at one point) but also likely still. I can't say I ever had the pleasure of walking up the the ordering counter kiosk. However the service is exceptionally fast. Also accurate as hell. My favorite part is the AI ordering system, which fortunately stops talking the moment you speak into it. I'm glad it's humans making my food, and not the robot that can't speak correctly. The accent is so robotic, it's offensive as a human being. Anyways. The mozzy sticks are out of this world. You just have to eat them hot, no sauce required. The fries are clutch (car reference, again), and the burgers are classic Southern California fast food. They're nothing ultra special, just good as hell. So I went into the drive thru at about 10pm 7-10-25 with a simple order of the 2 for 7 rally burgers and 2 for 7 fish sandwichs... 4 burger total.. came to a little over 15 dollars. So I pull up to the window and hand CARLOS my money and received my change. He then tells me it would be 3 minutes for the order... I said that would be fine and he closed the window. Noone was behind me in the one of two drive thru lanes there are. Then the window opens again and he asked me to move to the parking lot.. While working, I stopped at this lB Rally's for some take out food from the walk up window. I ordered the 2 Double Deal to go. It was a double cheeseburger and a double fish sandwich. I received my order extremely fast. When I got in my car a minute later, I realized the hamburger wasn't hot. I opened the burger and it was obvious that the food had been cooked earlier and just thrown together. The fish sandwich was also not freshly made. The fish looked old and had been microwaved. I threw this pathetic excuse for food away. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go back and demand fresh food. I wrote corporate a complaint via their website but haven't heard back from them. My advice, Stay Away From This Rally's in IB. The 2 young men working in there during this incident have made it very clear that quality and food safety means nothing to them. read more

So today I asked for the Baconzilla double ,medium with a straw Fanta. I get to the window and pay and something told me to look at my receipt. It said spicy chicken sandwich. So I told the cashier that I didn't order the spicy chicken sandwich. His response blew me away.. he had the nerve to say " you said #2 and thats a spicy chicken sandwiche." Most people seem to forget or not even know about Rally's. There are only a few around San Diego, but we think they're worth trying. We haven't had a horrible experience with a Rally's yet. So, we would recommend Rally's to those who have yet to give them a try. This Rally's has a walk up window and double drive thru lanes to place your order. They also have a few tables outside to eat at. Service is usually fast, customer service is mostly good, but the food almost never disappoints. First of all, we would probably rank Rally's French fries #2 on our list of favorite fast food french fries - or maybe even just french fries in general. No other fast food chain has fries like them. They are unique, crispy, and delicious. Their burgers are tasty and satisfying. We have also tried their popcorn chicken and chicken wings, and those weren't bad either. Their fried apple pies are yummy, as well, and a good way to end a meal. We say give their food a try if you haven't yet. At least give their French fries a try. Went here cause El Pollo Loco was still closed. I only have an hour lunch from 11 am to noon. Anyway, Rally's was open next door. I was craving their fries. They have good seasoned fries. I got a fish sandwich. It was okay but the fish was over fried and seemed a little tough. The fries are good. Their burgers are descent. I've had a few from this location. It's a chain and it's fast food. I do like their apple pies. So crisp and warm. I think it's still 2 for $1.00. Not to sure if that is the same price. They also sell milkshakes. Yum! They do have 2 drive thru lanes which makes the lines go a little faster. There is also parking spots right on the side of the business.
