September 30, 2025 - Rancho Cordova I generally like Raley's stores and was happy when one opened in our neighborhood. But this location feels just okay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My biggest issue is with the aisles. Almost every time I shop, there are stockers with carts and boxes blocking the way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand shelves need to be restocked, but during business hours it should be a given that staff keep the aisles as clear as possible so customers can move around easily.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On top of that, there are often promotional displays in the middle of the aisles, making it hard for two carts to pass.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The produce section is hit or miss. Sometimes it's fresh and appealing, other times it looks pretty sad. I also question the product placement. For example, I went to grab canned pumpkin. The regular 15-oz cans weren't on the shelf--only the larger size. I took one of those, only to later discover a stack of the 15-oz cans at the front of the aisle. Unless you happen to circle back, you'd miss them entirely. It would make sense to keep some of the smaller cans with the larger ones so shoppers don't have to hunt around. read more

I've been shopping at this raleys for 3 years now. Their produce has really gone downhill this past year. I've noticed that 80% of the produce I buy there wilts and/or gets moldy after just 3 or 4 days. I was in there today and they're literally selling already molded strawberries in a few packs that I looked at. This review is solely based on the bakery. I ordered a cake for my brother-in-law's birthday. He loves lemon so I asked specifically for a lemon filling. When i unpacked the cake before we added candles, the icing on the side looked cracked and really strange. I wasn't too happy, but whatever. We're just gonna eat it, right? When we cut into the cake, I noticed not only was the filling not lemon...there was no filling. Basically just two round cakes sitting on top of each other raw dog. My mother-in-law said that's probably why the cake cracked. Not sure...I'm not a baker. Everyone had a small slice, which was ok-ish. I just wish they followed the requests that were literally written on a form and taped to the top of the box. read more

We went in knowing what we wanted and had trouble finding some items, and was instantly helped. The service was awesome and we got what we needed for the bbq! I gave them a semi low review a few months ago about the quality of their produce and receiving broken cookies often as well as expired bread, and I feel I need to update my review. They have improved a lot on their produce freshness and I have not had any problems with the quality of all products. They are so friendly and my favorites are Carrie and Bella. They are always helpful and friendly and they deserve those highest recognition. We always get birthday cakes from here because they used to be good. But it seems like their standards has dropped. Picked up my husband's birthday cake and when I opened the box this is what it looked like (attached photo) it cracked and once we cut into the cake it was so dry. My whole family was disappointed. Produce is mostly disappointing: Strawberries and Blueberries are more often than not have mold, be sure to turn them over and see the bottoms. All the lettus varieties were wilted. Most of the avocados are beyond ripe and need to be removed. Often the potatoes are soft. Also watch your expiration dates I didn't and when I got home, I had bought an artichoke spinach dip that had already expired. read more

So fresh n' so clean... I love how sterile this grocery store is! Everything is so shiny and new! Plus I like the modern feel as soon as you walk-in. It's nice to go grocery shopping and find exactly what you need because they have what you need in stock! The bakery and prepared foods section, which is immediately on your right when you walk in, offers cakes, sandwiches and hot foods! Everything looks so good! The meat section has the normal meat butcher area but the pre cut meats are placed inside closed door refrigerators, I like that! Everything is spread out and organized, love this! Checking out was easy, where they offer a few "self-checkout" registers, but since we had a lot of stuff we opted for a real person to assist us. The person bagging our stuff was quick and efficient. Our cashier dude was also quite friendly. Overall this grocery store is super nice. I would make the drive all the way down Sunrise just to shop at a place as nice as this new Raley's ! read more

Do not use self checkout #9. I am financially struggling and have to pay in cash. I inserted a ten and instead of accepting it toward my total or spitting it back out, it just took my perfectly good ten dollar bill. The employees did nothing to help me. read more

After 5 years, I figured it was time to update my review. Since posting my original review back in 2017, I have been to this Raley's location hundreds of times. It's the closest grocery store to where I live, so I find myself going to Raley's often, sometimes once or even twice a week, to pick up things we've ran out of throughout the week. I give them 2 stars because I appreciate having a grocery store that's close by, the store is nicely laid out, spacious, and clean. But, let's get into why they won't get a 5 star rating from me. For starters, their employees lack customer service skills. Yes, I said it. On numerous occasions (more often than not), the employees don't even greet you at the checkout line when it's your turn. No, "Hello" "How are you?" or just basic things you say when there is a customer staring at you. Furthermore, when it's time to pay, they don't even tell you your total but just stare at you like a cow, like it's your job to just look at the screen, read your total yourself, and pay. Then, after you pay, they don't even tell you to have a nice day. Totally awful customer service! And, when I tell you this isn't a fluke and hasn't just happened once or twice, I mean it. One time, I even talked to the manager about it because I was so upset how disregarded I felt as a customer as the employee rang me up. She didn't acknowledge me once or even utter one word to me. When I talked to the manager about it, she told me that this specific employee was going through a "rough time" with her personal life. REALLY??? First off, that's no excuse but second off, are all your employees going through a rough time? Because every time I go to that Raley's 95% of your employees lack basic manners. I think the manager of this Raley's needs to get with the manager of Bel Air in Gold River because that Bel Air manager is obviously doing something right with how amazing his/her employees are and how they treat their customers and make them feel. I'm sorry, Raley's, but your prices are way too high to be treating your customers without basic human decency and kindness. Maybe a training class in soft skills would be beneficial for your staff? read more

For the prices you pay here, you'd expect just a bit of customer service, but don't. I've been coming here since it opened, and despite a rough first few months (I would regularly find expired produce. I learned the hard the way to check expiration dates BEFORE buying rather than after I get home), it's been a decent local option when I need a quick trip. However, the customer service has slipped so much that I don't like shopping here if I have time to go elsewhere. There are a few shining exceptions (the young woman who is usually covering the balloon/floral dept, for example) who are friendly. But overall the service is poor. I recently had an interaction where both the checker and the bagger said nothing to me except my total and to flatly ask "paper or plastic." Neither responded at all when I asked each of them how they were doing. Not a response when I thanked her for the receipt or him for the bagging of the groceries. I had an experience a few weeks ago where an employee treated me so poorly and rudely that I was still upset the next day and did something I never do: I went on the website to register a complaint. The response was simply to provide information about a particular coupon, but never addressed to issue of being treated so poorly (I responded as much, but that was the end of it). Then last week I ordered a cake from the bakery a week in advance and paid for it. When we went to pick it up it wasn't there and we were told there was no order placed. I had the copy of the order with all the information correct and the payment receipt. The employee finally located the order in the wrong place, but since there was no cake decorator in, she said she couldn't do anything about it. After I insisted this be made right (it was for a large birthday party occurring in 2 hours), the only solution offered was that I could get a refund. That is not a solution when I have 40 guests coming to party and a little boy in tears about the cake that was the highlight of his day. Thankfully, the sister store in the town North of here came to the rescue. The bakery employee there made the exact cake we had ordered in record time, and the birthday boy was thrilled. I called his manager the next day to make sure he knew how much we appreciated his employee going above and beyond to correct a mistake that wasn't his. I think I'll make the trek up there to shop from now on. read more

I understand Salmon is known for roundworms but ouch. I cooked the Salmon I freshly bought from this location just yesterday. The man servicing me was so nice and helped me despite the fish section being closed. NEVER in my 26 years of eating salmon have I come across a roundworm. What used to be a nice Raley's when it first opened up has turned into a neglected dirty store. They allow homeless to camp out in front, beg and make a mess. They never clean the parking lot or the sidewalks and it's a shame because the store/complex is not that old. They are always out of something you need and if we get another store in the neighborhood this Raley's will struggle to survive. read more

I think everyone who lives in the area can agree with me when I say ITS ABOUT time! There have always been talks about some sort of grocery store opening up in the area but it never followed through. I remember back in 04, Safeway was supposed to mark its territory here but never did. Lets fast forward to 2017! Still no flying cars however, there's finally a grocery store near Anatolia! Thats right, no more driving to Folsom or down Folsom blvd. This Raleys is literally a hop away from Anatolia and I am oh sooo thankful for this. I had the chance to check this new store out days after its grand opening. Its located in a nice sized shopping plaza with a Starbucks and many other businesses which are coming soon . Whats neat about this store is that they have a computerized sandwich ordering station which is right next to a grilled cheese station. WAT? We were hungry and decided to order sandwiches for dinner and to be honest, it was such a disappointment! All good though, I called and voiced my concern and the manager , Chris was so pleasant about me coming in to get a refund. I was like " whoa, you can do that?!" Sooo in case you were wondering, Yeah! They do indeed give sandwich refunds to those who aren't satisfied. Welcome to the area, Raleys! I am so glad that Raley's decided to open within biking and walking distance from mi casa. Spacious parking and several smaller shops that will be opening soon. Everything is spanking brand NEW !! June 28th is the official opening day! They will be serving coffee and bakery treats for customers. Rich is the general manager. Very nice and helpful. They just hosted a soft opening and hosted family day for employees and their immediate families. What a great turn out! Raley's is reasonably priced. They have a decent selection of meat and seafood that is great quality; reasonably priced organic fruits, vegetables, kitchen and pantry items as well. There is a bakery to stock up on weekend breakfast breads and doughnuts. Love the deli: hot chicken, great salads and made-to-order sandwiches. In short, its my go to place for meat, seafood, produce and deli. I will be going here for all our quick and large grocery needs. Staff is so friendly and always in a good mood. I love how they have the self check out area too, so you can be in and out if you're in a hurry. The Deli has yummy sandwiches!! I've been going here since day one! I come here often since it's literally 5 minutes from my home. Generally speaking, the store is clean and well stocked up. There are many options and choices to choose from. Deli's sandwiches are a wonder and the bread from bakery is great. The staff are nice except that one Man/Woman (I don't know exactly what they identify as) in produce. I've complained to him/her about the apples cause there's always rotten apples in the display. Sometimes I see the same apples that were there from a week before! I've attached photos so you can see. I took a bag of pink lady's home and a couple of them had mold. I understand it's solely my responsibility to check what I put in my cart but the bag shouldn't have even gotten that far out to the floor. If mold was able to develop, that should explain how long those bagged apples have been out, hence what I said earlier about the rotten apples. I've also seen rotten Serrano Peppers! It takes awhile for peppers to rot and mold. The displays are also filthy and contain white crust! This should be enough to show that the lead of this produce department is not working hard enough or isn't being a proper manager. You aren't really a manager if you can't even manage your product. Anyways when I asked that particular Man/Women about their rotten product, they gave me this unappealing face and dirty attitude. This isn't the first time I've seen them like this. I just don't understand how you can behave like a child when your job requires a great amount of customer service. Not to mention, I see them using their phone while working and pushing around their cart at the same time. It just baffles me. Please put this person in the right place. I believe their name starts with an "R" like a Rachelle or Rachael. Nevertheless, I'll still be coming here to shop but will try to avoid the child in the produce department. All Raley's stores share two common elements: a great selection and high prices. Fault them not for the convenience of having everything under one roof (including brands you can't find anywhere else), but know you'll spend a pretty penny if your trying to do a full grocery run here. I like to come in for some specifics I can't get anywhere else. A particular type of Tillamook yogurt and Fairlife milk, for instance. I'm always tempted to grab even more and usually do. They have a great selection of meats, drinks, grab and go foods and a big deli department with delicious sandwiches. I've seen bigger selections of fruits and veggies elsewhere, but the quality here is still big. The downside, as I mentioned, is that you will end up spending almost double here compared to what you spend at, say, Trader Joe's or even Safeway. read more

This is our neighborhood grocery store and we always come here to get groceries and get food from the Deli. Service is normally slow but people have been nice. I went in today and this guy Jayden kept guising me although he literally was doing nothing. He was acting to be busy. I had been waiting for good 10 mins. Jayden walked out of the Deli showing attitude and one of the lady told him to serve me. He then came and served me with so much attitude. No smile and thank you. No point in keeping employees like this who despise working. Totally ruined my day and will try to avoid coming to the Deli now. read more

The new Rancho Cordova Raley's is part of the next generation of Raley's stores and fits in well with the neighborhood. This smaller store is located on Sunrise & Douglas near the Anatolia neighborhood and the gun range. Parking is decent, but they do have two EvGo Fast EV Chargers with both connectors. The layout is a bit different from a traditional Raley's. The look is industrial modern with a large deli and prepared food section. A wide diagonal aisle splits the store with shorter shopping areas more focused on upscale grocery items, although they still stock plenty of Doritos and Rice-A-Roni. The selection of non-food items is much smaller than most stores and focused on the higher end. I think Raley's is winning with their new concept stores. This location is already popular and is even ready for their Personal Shopper service. They know their customer and have really focused on the essentials. It is more expensive than others, but you get better service and selection. read more

Glad to have a Raley's within the Anatolia vicinity! I get my french bread here (always warm and oh so yummy). Spacious and. clean On certain days you get 5.99 whole cooked chicken or 6.99 for fried chicken. They're so good! Summer is all about fruits! At least for me. Big box of Strawberries for less than 4 bucks. That's a real steal. I usually take the whole box to munch on my ride to work and share with colleagues. read more

When I arrived at the self check out at Raley's today I had a problem with the bag of onions I had purchased. I looked over at the gal who is supposed to help with that area.. she looked directly at me and then looked away and rolled her eyes. I have a debilitating disease and it is even hard to leave the house. She is an employee that is there quite often. I found it very rude and unprofessional. Dropped in early this morning just for some bagels as was not disappointed! I was weary of grocery store bakery bagels but these were surprising delicious! As I pulled them from the self serve rack I was delighted to feel how soft they were and still had that signature shiny crust. Got a couple blueberry and a cinn raisin for the kiddos. After getting them home slicing and toasting I will say they are at least 3x as good as the nearby Panera's bagels. My new go to! 4/12/18 update: Darn 3rd time in a row I have to request Sunnyside Organic Whole milk from the back! Can you Rancho Cordovans believe we FINALLY have a supermarket in our neighborhood? As soon as the Raley's "coming soon" sign came, I was as giddy as a little school girl! Now, the convenience alone makes it all worth it, but Raley's is definitely awesome. Always fully stocked with everything you can think of, the service and quality of ingredients are great! You can find everything you need! Self checkouts are available to make life easier if you're in a hurry and paper AND plastic are available for you! (BUT always remember to bring your own bags to save 10 cents!) They also offer ecart! (Order your groceries on their mobile app and their shoppers gather everything for you and deliver it straight to your car!) WHAT!!!!! I love this Raley's. Always has fresh produce. Shelves are always stocked and organized properly. Friendly and very helpful staff. I really hate that the women's bathroom always looks trashed. The manager needs to put in place 30 minute to an hour bathrooms. When i have my small children with me and they need to go to the bathroom we have to go to another establishment nearby to use the restroom Next time I'll add a pic of the bathroom. read more

A young gentlemen helped us and since we love their Santa Cruz we opted to buy two. Yummy! But as soon we got home ... wah wah wah :( Our sandwiches were not made to what we were used to... #1 They weren't cut in half #2 The bacon was missing Are you serious!? Go to Walmart or Winco...! Love this new Raleys right by my house! Grateful I don't have to shop in the ghetto (Folsom/Zinfandel). And they are open till 11pm! Employees are nice and efficient, premium produce, they make tasty sandwiches and they even have Peet's and a sitting area that is well maintained and clean!
