The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED! I saw the big sign on the wall, "water boiled". What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York, I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking at each store. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. Try them out!

I know that very little that we do is private, and I know we are tracked, but to know that me driving out to Woodfords to get a lottery ticket and the internet accessing my location via GPS (of course, I had my cell with me!) and then actually asking about my experience? This makes me sick. But I have to say, I've been out there numerous times and everybody's having a good time. The restaurant is cookin' busy and the people are happy. The place itself is spotless. But mostly, what I think is the star of the show is their employees. Every person I have interacted with has been just awesome. Always smiling, kind and patient, and they don't mind answering questions. So despite the fact that I think it sucks that I was tracked and asked, I don't mind saying that I like the place a lot.

I can't say that Lucky Liquor was a wonderful surprise, but it certainly wasn't a trap. As advertised, and posted on its promotions, there is beer and liquor, and I imagine smokes but those don't not interest me. The store layout is more function than form. No one is hanging out at Lucky Liquor. You're in and you're out. I imagine that's just what the owner wanted. We were fortunate enough to find a Sharkinator White IPA from Lost Coast Brewery at a great price. The cashier was nice. I'm not sure if I will make it back to Lucky Liquor but I did find a brewery to look for at the next grocery store.

But then I saw the Port of Subs store front and decided to up my experience. I ordered a #2, which I think was a ham and turkey combo. I added a small bag of chips and some sort of flavored water drink. That gave me a little over 15 minutes (factoring in the commute) to sit down, relax, and enjoy my Lunch. Counter service was friendly and efficient, and what I would call newish citizen staff were certainly working hard under whatever the Port of Subs franchise agreement was requiring. This happened however only a small handful of times, but prompted me to leave a nasty review in response. I would like to update this now however. If I'm being honest the issue with the vape was the only one I had. Even though this happened a few times within a short period of time (probably within about 6 months time period), I am reflecting now on my overall service, and the kindness that the owners I met a few times showed to me. In retrospect, this place deserves at least 4 to 4.5 stars. I also need to admit that I should have taken the product out of the box before leaving the store. If I had done this, I feel like my bad review could have been avoided entirely. You live and learn I guess, but please give this store a chance. They have amazing pricing versus the chevron across the street, and the owners are honestly really down to earth people- full of kindness the few times I was able to meet them here.
