I'm writing this as a repeat customer who has ordered the same Nova lox bagel here many times…read more I've been coming here regularly for a Nova lox bagel and it has always come out to $14.52. The same employee has rung me up many times before. In fact, he is the one who has rung me up every time, and I even have the emailed receipts showing the exact total each time. Today when I ordered the exact same thing, he told me the total was nearly $18. Since that didn't make sense, I politely went through the math with him: the Nova lox bagel price on the menu plus the $0.80 specialty bagel charge (I always get the spinach Swiss bagel). Even adding it up in front of him, the numbers still didn't come close to $18. I asked where the remainder was coming from, and he couldn't give me an answer. He just kept repeating that it was "what the register says." If one bagel comes out to $14.52, how exactly would two bagels be $18? Because the total made no sense and there was no explanation, I chose not to order and left. Later my husband went in and ordered the exact same Nova lox bagel and was charged about $12. When he asked why I had been told nearly $18 earlier, the employee said that I had ordered two bagels. That's simply not true. What's frustrating is that he presented it as though I ordered two bagels, not that two were accidentally rung up. If that was the issue, it could have been explained when I asked him directly at the register. What made the interaction worse was the dismissive attitude. I told him I come here all the time, order the exact same thing, and even have receipts showing the $14.52 total every time. Instead of trying to understand or look into it, he essentially shrugged and repeated that the register said $18. Customer service and word of mouth are everything these days. It's disappointing when businesses forget that the people walking through the door are the ones supporting them. The Nova lox bagel is already pricey as it is. Add attitude and nonchalant behavior on top of that, and it's simply not worth it. I truly won't be coming back. I'd rather go to Costco, buy smoked salmon and bagels, and make my own without the attitude. If the owner has an explanation for how one bagel suddenly became nearly $18 while the same order was $12 minutes later, I'd genuinely be interested to hear it.

Wow! How have I not discovered this place while living in the area for this long?!…read more This place has amazing bagels, sandwiches, coffees and more. Bagels are made fresh and their pasties are amazing! The croissants are huge, fluffy, flaky and buttery! The bagels are delish and there is always a line (no wonder why!!) Definitely adding this place as my go to for bagels for my team. Cant wait to be back.

We go to Mimosa House in Gold River pretty much every weekend for an early breakfast, and at this…read morepoint it has just become part of our routine...in the best way. We have tried multiple Mimosa House locations, and this one is by far and away our favorite. There are a lot of breakfast spots out there, but what keeps us coming back here is not just the food, which is always solid, it is the people. The staff at this location are such a good team. Nick, Danielle, Skylar and Devin (and Omar when we get to see him), every single one of them is friendly, on top of everything, and just genuinely good at what they do. You can tell they all work well together, and it makes a difference. Even when it is busy, things run smoothly and you never feel ignored or rushed. And honestly, that kind of experience does not happen without a strong kitchen and the rest of the team behind the scenes. We may not know everyone by name, but it is clear they are all working together to keep things consistent. It is one of those places where you start to feel like a regular without even trying. We have even gotten to know a few of the other regulars over time, which just says a lot about the kind of place this is. You walk in, get a smile, maybe recognize a familiar face or two, and know you are going to be taken care of. We have made our way through a good portion of the menu over time. My husband is all about the chicken apple sausage, and I tend to switch things up depending on the day. Everything we have had has been consistently good. Nothing overcomplicated, just really solid breakfast done right. My one, very small, wish? I would love it if they opened up the lunch menu a little earlier. We are early risers, and every now and then I just want a good patty melt and some great fries for breakfast. Weird? Maybe. But I stand by it. Whether you are someone who likes to sit, relax, and enjoy your morning, or someone who can somehow run in, toss a card down for a quick mimosa, and be out the door in record time, this place has you covered. Either way, you will be taken care of.

Pancakes were fluffy and large the portions with everything were actually huge we couldn't finish our food. Good customer service too! Breakfast of corned beef hash, 2 eggs and biscuit. Drank coffee…read more Plenty of food. Unfortunately not very satisfying. Biscuit particularly not good as it was doughy, wet , chewy and tasted of too much baking powder. I did like the big chunks of meat. The country potatoes were typical diner quality, but I just don't like country style breakfast potatoes. No substitution offered. Server was efficient if a bit rough around the edges. I sat at the counter. She made sure that I had everything I needed. That's okay, I'm happy enough, don't need a smile from some one who's bringing me food. Oh, yeah just like my old sourpuss mother. Now the value for the dollar issue... The breakfast was $22, the unremarkable coffee was $4.50. After tax and a $5 tip I was out the door for $33. I recently had a wwwwaaaayyy more satisfying breakfast at Mario's Early Toast for half that price. Hot off the griddle is a big improvement over a Denny's. But that's a pretty low bar for judgement. Sorry, no return for me.
