OMG. This place doesn't f*ck around when it comes to a biscuit breakfast. I am in big trouble as I…read morejust moved in within walking distance of this location! My husband and I came here on our first morning in SC right after we moved here from out of state. I ordered the "vicious benny" which was eggs benedict with ham and hollandaise sauce. Everything about my benny tasted like it was meant for Queen Elizabeth (RIP) or someone of high caliber to be eating. It was so freaking good, that it didn't seem worthy of my peasant palate! In addition to the huge, fluffy, amazing biscuit, they did not forget to make the ham & hollandaise just as fantastic; ham had lots of unexpected flavor and I wanted to drink a bucket of the hollandaise sauce as I'm 100% sure it's the BEST one I've ever had. I'm definitely coming back as soon as possible and would recommend that anyone/everyone do the same! :)

I had a late morning doctor's appointment and decided to find a spot for breakfast afterwards…read more Being gluten free, my options aren't always what I'd want. So after plugging in "gluten-free breakfast in Summerville" here on Yelp, Vicious Biscuit was one of the choices. Located in Nexton which has quickly become one of my favorite areas to find good food in Summerville. Upon entering. I was greeted and given the opportunity to glance over the menu without being rushed. I let her know of my gluten allergy and she was quick to provide me with options. They have so many gluten-free options to choose from. It was my intent to dine-in but I needed to leave. I ordered a gluten-free biscuit with sides of grits, chicken sausage and a scrambled egg to-go. I was offered a cup of water as I waited. The restaurant had several customers dining in. The seating area is very spacious and I loved all of the natural lighting coming in. There's a bar with so many types of butters, jams and etc to choose from. One of the workers came over to help me and answered all my questions. That sweet potato butter was divine!!! I needed to use the restroom before my next stop (I hate public restrooms by the way!) it was super clean. When I did have the opportunity to eat, I wished that I'd ordered more biscuits!! It was so good!!! I can't wait to go back and actually sit-in to dine!

I can't believe I've lived in five years I've lived in 4 states and never tried Culvers! Well that…read morerecently changed and I'm here to talk about it. Located on Ladson road in a safe and easy to access area, Culvers is home of two notable products; the butter burger and concrete. I will start out with for some reason all the cars were in one line, totally dismissing the other order station which I accessed and skipped ahead three spots! Also the people are extremely nice although they have an interesting number system as I suspect it takes them a while to make their offerings. First up I ordered onion rings since my mom finally got out of the hospital and was craving "real food." I'll go on the record stating the onion rings were probably in my top two in town. Freshly fried with REAL ONIONS and a semi-thick batter. First bite, if one survives the magma hot touch will be a huge crunch with a slight resistance from the onion itself. In thinking back, I should have ordered two servings as I didn't want to share. Alas I ate less than half because I'm trying to be a good son. Next, I finally got to try a butter burger or in this case a mushroom and Swiss burger. To be honest I thought they cooked the burger in butter rather than they lightly toast the top bun in butter. That seems a flimsy proclamation to hang your hat on but I digress. The burger was darn good, the meat tasted better than a fast-food joint and had a slight smash to it. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked and the Swiss! The cheese really brought the sandwich together. I dare say this is the best fast food burger I ever had, yes it was that good. As for dessert, I love concretes; I eat them anywhere I can find them. Culvers is probably last among the restaurants that offer them. Please note a concrete is basically a custard - think ice cream with egg yolks; it offers a thicker and richer experience - with a lot more calories. I got the cheesecake concrete with cherries. What I got was a little bit of cheesecake, no graham cracker crust and 6 whole cherries thrown on top. Moreover, it wasn't that thick, but thicker and tastier than any milkshake available from competitors. I'm a bit confused about my experience at Culvers, I was expecting a more decadent hamburger, one I thought would be seared in butter but what I got was equally good. The onion rings were phenomenal compared to subpar concrete offering. The people are nice and the speed is a bit slow, but perhaps that's warranted. After a few months if the hamburger and onion ring itch comes on, I'll be back but if I desire a concrete there's better options. Still, Culvers is a very good restaurant and I advise dropping on by to try for yourself.
