Pros: Chill lounge/sitting area at the front corner with sofas, a low bar (accessibility friendly) and board games. Big tables to accommodate groups and various bar seating. Large brewery menu screens with large range and the food looked good. Tbh we came for brews so can't comment on food. The Wildman Beer brand was so-so. Some better than others! Cons: FOH staff interaction. Why we love pubs/breweries is because of the chill, friendly, conversational flow of FOH; their knowledge of the beers and/or cocktails, their passion for sharing it with new customers so they come back again and again ... this vibe fell short at Wildman. TL;DR Good for a basic group of people looking for a brewery experience in town with room for large groups. Not for those who are expecting an awesome brewery experience -- a la PDX, DEN, PHX, ATX or SEA.

But when I saw that they opened up a location in Olympia and Steve and I were going to Olympia for a show it made perfect sense to go to this new location. Downtown where our show was is super walkable and this brewery is right there. When we went in what escaped my attention at the Raymond location was that I was particularly impressed with their own mead selection. And the mead did not disappoint in the slightest. The first mead I had was their Oak Aged Classic Mead. Such fantastic balance in body and the oak flavor was truly impressive! I got another mead from the list, the Sneaky Bastard Meer. It's called meer I believe due to the five different kinds of hops they put into it. Great floral and honey flavored highlights! Our experience here was excellent! Steve enjoyed his drink selections as well! Definitely returning for more mead enjoyment!

Very friendly! We all got our drinks and coffee promptly and they even had oat milk for my lactose free butt. I ordered their giant breakfast burrito. Friend next to me got the salmon dish which ended easily being the best tasting dish on the menu. Our other couple friends wanted to split a dish. What did they do? Split them and have them their own bowl. How nice! If you're thinking of eating here I would recommend it!

When I called to reserve a table for 11, they asked whether we'd be paying separately and acted like that size of group wouldn't be a big deal. When we got there, though, the waitress seemed stressed and a little disorganized from the moment we arrived. She asked that everyone that wanted food order at the same time so that it was "convenient for the kitchen." As we were ordering food, I told her my husband and I were on the same check. She said no one told her we wanted separate checks (she hadn't asked). Some people's checks had extra items on them. The cod tacos and sliders on the happy hour menu were decent. They put groups of ten or more in the back by the shuffleboard table. It's pretty dark and you can't really hear the music playing in the main bar, but it was fine for visiting.

Then I saw the concerts, the art nights, the craft nights. It really is a social space with a ton of personality and the service is excellent. Often, I am mean girled with small businesses. Heck, I am mean girled in big business but that sucks less because it's cheaper and more convenient. The women who work here are kind to me and my family, even when busy and overwhelmed. The vegan cod is excellent. It's become a team name with my husband. I am eating the broccoli salad right now and am literally making love to it with my mouth. Is it the sunflower seeds? The red onions? Man, it's refreshing, small and guilt free (unlike my double screwdriver). This is a positive space. They help the community, no matter what they look like coming through the door. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Now if I remember from what I read correctly the folks that run this place were employees of Wild Man Brewing which had a location here (but closed). After studying the tap list it looks like what they carry here primarily is guest tap beers and meads from local breweries and meaderies and doesn't appear that they make their own like the predecessor of this space. But that's okay as it's a really cool place. The guest taps they have are good... nice and cold. The food is good as well. I got a pulled pork sandwich... something that I haven't had in a really long time. I enjoyed it... it was nice and tasty! It was a nice sized lunch along with the fries. The people that work here are nice and friendly and the space here is fun. Definitely a cool place to come and hang out in!

Jacob has a cheerful demeanor paired with quick insight and a lighthearted sense of humor. When we started asking about warm drinks he quickly gathered I was looking for caffeine free options and also correctly guessed what I was thinking when I paused. He offered to make a fresh pot of decaf for us. He also brought water as well even though we didn't ask for it. He understood we needed a little more time with our choices and checked back with us in appropriate timing. I noticed he had great interactions throughout the room. He greeted regulars by name. Overall he made the evening pleasant. Our food was excellent overall. All looked like the menu photos or better. Everything was crispy, toasted, etc as expected. Our coffee was refilled appropriately without us having to ask. The onion rings needed a bit more salt but we were able to add to taste ourselves. We tried the new fried pickles and wow! Well done!! We both noted it seemed like maybe there weren't as many on the plate as we anticipated based on the photo for $10 but then again, we both said we're definitely coming back for those and we had more food than we could eat! The manager, manager in training, and general manager stopped by the table to see how our meal was. On the way out the door, the hostess saw us coming with our take home containers in hand and held the door for us. Overall, a great place to spent an evening with a friend!
