Our experience was excellent at this location. We were greeted quickly after the hostess seated the people in front of us. Our server was there shortly after. Jacob has a cheerful demeanor paired with quick insight and a lighthearted sense of humor. When we started asking about warm drinks he quickly gathered I was looking for caffeine free options and also correctly guessed what I was thinking when I paused. He offered to make a fresh pot of decaf for us. He also brought water as well even though we didn't ask for it. He understood we needed a little more time with our choices and checked back with us in appropriate timing. I noticed he had great interactions throughout the room. He greeted regulars by name. Overall he made the evening pleasant. Our food was excellent overall. All looked like the menu photos or better. Everything was crispy, toasted, etc as expected. Our coffee was refilled appropriately without us having to ask. The onion rings needed a bit more salt but we were able to add to taste ourselves. We tried the new fried pickles and wow! Well done!! We both noted it seemed like maybe there weren't as many on the plate as we anticipated based on the photo for $10 but then again, we both said we're definitely coming back for those and we had more food than we could eat! The manager, manager in training, and general manager stopped by the table to see how our meal was. got the 6oz top sirloin steak with mashed potatoes and veggies for free because one of the many Veterans Day meals available. Loved that there was diversity in the meal choices for veterans. No other restaurant that I went to compared. Not a big steak person either, but this steak was chewy. Got medium rare and it was really good for me. I liked it. I was shocked! service was great. Just a bunch of kids working who were having a good time among themselves, but a not a bother to the guests. Addressed guests' needs right away and did not let their side conversations take priority. Leaving an event we needed a place to eat, so Bro said he likes Applebees because they have a steak and shrimp plate that's keto. Steak is hard for me to eat if I don't have barbecue or teriyaki sauce, so I opted for the caesar salad with no croutons (the waitress got me a breadstick instead, lol) and sis went with green beans and bacon (the kind you get our of a can). Beware. Happy Hour sleight of hand. Deceptive pricing with drinks. What was standard for a long time, you order a $6 happy hour drink, Jack Daniels, for example, with Coke or other mixer. Last night, I was surprised when I got the bill that separately charged $1.50 for mixer with each drink. I checked the table placard and it now says for the $6 drinks, "on the rocks" yes, I know what that means, but didnt catch the phrase before ordering to ask. And nowhere did it say mixer is $1.50. Well, where do I start? My wife and I were the first ones in the door for lunch today at 11. SERVICE was OK. We got the wrong order of wings to start off then we got a hamburger that was completely raw. when we first walked in, we sat at the bar and hope SERVICE would be faster. I don't normally eat out at Applebee's, but one of their locations was nearby the hotel I was staying at in Lacey, so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was good and I enjoyed my dish. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla Salad which goes for $15.99. It was a fairly large salad and quite tasty. They put wedges of cheese quesadilla around the rim. It's in a tossed Mexican ranch dressing, which may not be palatable to everyone. However, I certainly enjoyed it. I previously gave 5stars, but today was a bit of a shock. We went to lunch today. We ordered our app and stated we wanted the app first so I could decide whether I wanted an entree. After a long wait, my hubby's entree came out. We stated we didn't get our app and refused to take the entree. We couldn't get much service after that but finally our app arrived and it was wrong. As we were hungry we ate the incorrect app but decided to cut our losses. We didn't trust the kitchen to supply fresh entrees. We went for a drink and some food, the server didn't even know what kind of beer they served. She only brought one water and there weee two of us. We noticed how filthy the place was, finger prints and dirt of the windows - on the inside. Very dirty walls and dusty. It's obvious they don't keep it clean. Surprisingly, I had a pleasant visit. The server was very nice. We sat in the bar booth and she was also the bartender. I ordered off the 2 for $25 and the food came out accordingly and was nice and hot. I ordered the fiesta chicken several times before and this time was one of the best. The chicken was extremely juicy and the rice was hot. The garlic Parmesan boneless wings were salty, but it was also good at the same time. Cant really go wrong with the wonton tacos. Who knew they have an epic late night menu tons of food/drink is half off! We ended up ordering one of everything off the half off menu, a few milk shakes, and were out for under $40 feeling unbelievably stuffed with tasty delectibles. The food accomplished the task at hand, feed 3 people a lot of food for not too much money. The service, unfortunately, was a little inattentive. We weren't given napkins until we asked for them, the food took quite a while to be delivered, and it took 20 minutes to get our check.
