There are not enough wonderful things that I can say about Raining Cookies and its owner, Julia. I have been ordering cookies from her for years, and she never ceases to amaze me with design, tastiness, and professionalism. Over the years, Julia has designed both professional (logo) and personal cookies for me. I ordered amazing zoo-themed cookies for my kiddo's 1st birthday (at the zoo), Mickey-inspired cookies for his 3rd birthday, as well as custom-designed cookies for each child at an adoption party and Game of Thrones and Little Prince cookies. In all cases, I was able to pick from a variety of flavors (celebration and gingerbread are my favorites), and I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail in the designs, as well as the freshness. I recently placed a larger order of cookies with my company's logo, which I took to a work trip, and they were a huge hit. Julia also made sure to individually package each cookie in a box with bubble wrap so they wouldn't get destroyed in my suitcase! Ordering is so simple and done through the website, and someone contacts you about details and pick-up and/or delivery. I opt to pick them up from their Redmond location. I have never had any issues with an ordering not being completed by the date promised; in fact, I am surprised at how quickly they are made! I highly recommend Raining Cookies to all of my friends and colleagues. The people I've recommended to Julia have always been very satisfied. Orders prices are very reasonable for what you get. I now live in Seattle and I say - let it rain, let it rain, let it rain, these Cookies. Gotta stop eating local at work- NOT. Made a cup of tea and cracked open this "left from a meeting, cookie". At first the wrapping was crinkling and the cookie had a hard crunch. Like shortbread. That's want I was expecting, it's not a typical anything. Don't let the hard structure fool you into not biting into one. It's a pleasant surprise. I couldn't stop eating it till it was all gone. Hard - yes, crunchy - yes, big on flavor of Almond like marzipan yes, but not, buttery but not, sugary but not. - it's all in there. Julia did our wedding cookies and they turned out stunning. I wanted to send the guests home with a little something but also use them as place holders on the table. I never met Julia prior but she was able to get what type of style I liked via email conversations and photos. Like anything where you don't meet the person, it was a little nerve racking because there of course is a chance you have two different visions. We ordered 2 dozen cookies for my baby shower and couldn't have been happier! They have excellent customer service. So friendly and a joy to work with while coming up with your designs. Yes the cookies are rather expensive, I think slightly over $50 for a dozen but it was one of the most asked about things from my shower they really serve as a dessert and decoration all in one my guests loved them. I had a custom order made for my husbands music themed birthday party and what Julia delivered exceeded my expectations. The cookies looked beautifully decorated and tasted fantastic. I ordered a dozen of dark chocolate cookies and mocha chocolate chip and they both were a huge hit with the crowd. Julia was super friendly to work with and very creative. I sent her some pictures for design inspiration and she was able to understand my expectations. They do have a minimum of 2 dozen order for custom made cookies. I held a virtual bridal shower and Julia/Raining Cookies created the most delightful wedding dress cookie, all individually wrapped, in place of a bridal cake. Outrageously overpriced, super small and embarrassing to bring to our clients. Paid over $100 for these cookies and I would never do it again. I brought the issue to the shop owner before posting to give her an opportunity to rectify the situation but nope. She refused. And if you order these cookies order them by Qty of 4 instead of by the dozen. A dozen cookies should be discounted for less packaging and ordering more but it turns out they cost $5 extra that way. The cookies are $2 each and they are about an inch in size. You're better off going to QFC on Mercer Island who saved the day for our sad little valentines gifts! I used to cater and my husband is a chef and we are shocked and appalled! I'll be posting a photo of these cookies for scale. You are much better off spending your money elsewhere!!! Update: As you can see Julia is incredibly unhelpful and she actually feels justified ripping people off. See her comment! I disagree that we got what she supposedly says we did. read more

Wonderful experience ordering desserts for my son's 2nd birthday! She says on her website to give at least 2 weeks notice for orders - I reached out closer to 6 weeks to be safe. I ordered a dozen custom Moana cookies and an ocean themed cookie cake. Both were a huge hit! The majority of guests ate the cookie cake which easily feed 12 adults with leftovers. Julia was very easy to work with - I wanted a little bit more simple cookie design to bring the cost down a little and she was very helpful with coming up with some options that were less expensive. I received these cookies for my birthday. The amount of detail was incredible and the cookies were so delicious.

I saw all these amazing pictures of cookies they made for other customers and was immediately interested. I was really impressed with how quickly I got responses to my emails and a call. I discussed in detail about what I wanted, sent pictures like requested and was even able to talk on the phone to make sure we were on the same page. We decided to go with neutral colors for the baby shower cookies, I got 2 dozen little cookies. I was so excited to see what they came up and put at ease with the communication thus far, unfortunately I was completed disappointed when I drove all the way to Redmond in the snow for cookies that looked rushed and so beyond plain(I ended up buying frosting & adding color just to make them look better). I knew their wouldn't be color, we decided on that but I saw all these beautiful neutral colored cookies on the site so I wasn't even worried. That was a mistake. Also the detail in the cookies wasn't like any of the ones on site. I'm just really upset about it all, I had such high hopes especially with all the reviews, but maybe because of the snow they just rushed my cookies instead of just pushing back the pickup day in order to make better looking cookies. read more
