I love this place. But I only get the steak. It's delicious and the folks who work here are friendly and fun. I don't get the negative reviews, never had a bad experience and I'm here all the time (local). read more

This place hasn't stepped up their game, in fact every time I've been here the service has been slow, the food has been mediocre at best and the menu is a bunch of the same old garbage. I have tried to give this spot a chance on several occasions and every time I experienced log wait times, sloppy wait staff and bland greasy food. Can't Enumclaw do better than sub-par gastropubs? read more

Martinis are excellent-served in ice cold metal. Love the oyster shooters, fish and chips. Just be prepared to smell like a greasy kitchen on your clothes when you leave. read more

I'm so glad we stopped here while traveling through the area! There was a wait to get in, but I can see why. I had the turkey croissant with a salad on the side. The croissant comes with cranberry Mayo on it, which I was unsure about, but it was the best part. Very fresh tasting! Loved it! read more

Rainier Bar & Grill - Blackened salmon Caesar salad & Southwest chicken salad - Bars Near Me - Enumclaw, Washington

I was here for the first time last night with some friends and had dinner and drinks. I must say that my drink was outstanding and I've never had a martini served in a metal martini glass before. Probably keeps it colder and I was definitely impressed. When we were seated the gentleman who I thought was our waiter knew absolutely nothing. I asked him what a particular liquor was in one of the cocktails and he didn't know. I asked him what the cocktail of the day was and he didn't know. I asked him if there were any specials and he didn't know. Thank God he was not our waitperson, but he could have told me that in the beginning. I ended up ordering the half rack of ribs with baked potato, broccoli and salad. I have to say it was a good deal for the price. The salad was pretty much lettuce, croutons and onions with I believe sprinkling of tomato and was actually too much for the plate it was served on. The ribs were tender and I don't know if it was the rub or the barbecue sauce, but they were pretty spicy. As you can see by my ribs I don't know whether the barbecue sauce was designed to be on them that way or somebody forgot to spread it over my ribs before they were served. One of my friends order the same thing and she had a nice sheen of barbecue sauce over the whole thing. Not a big deal but still. Overall both of our half racks were pretty small in my estimation. Didn't order dessert so can't comment it. Friendly atmosphere and our waitperson was very pleasant. read more

The food was very subpar. I honestly wish we would have gone to Mc Donald's instead. It took forever to get food and we were disappointed once we got it. This place is not veggie friendly and they sure don't try to hide it. They have only a single veggie entree vs 100 meat ones. The kitchen had made all the food and none of the servers were delivering it. We waited at the bar to get a table and despite not having many customers to serve the bartenders took a long while to ask us what we would like to drink. read more

Great spot. Good food and friendly service. Nice vibe. Prime Rib special is highly recommended.

This restaurant is always my first pick when I'm in Enumclaw. Great service, best clam chowder I've ever had and am always happy with anything else I get here. Can't go wrong with this place. read more

We stopped by here for some to go sandwiches on our way out to Rainier and we've been here a while back before the pandemic. This is a nice little bar & grill with great fries and decent sandwiches. Turkey Dip- my daughter said the bread was awesome. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich- my wife liked the flavors but the thing got sogged out before she could eat it. Roast Beef "croissant" - the roast beef was a little bland and the croissant was really a super flaky roll. I think they rely on their horseradish sauce to supply flavor but I'm not a fan of horseradish so I found it bland. I'd give them another try but as it stands right now I'm rating it "Ok" read more

Came here for dinner. Super busy on a Friday night but we found a spot at the bar after waiting 5 minutes. They serve dinner at the bar so worked it worked out for us. We both ordered the Kobe Beef blue cheese burger and wow soooo delish. Let's start with the burger--- perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Nice pink in the middle and very juicy. It had enough crispy bacon as well as blue cheese crumbles. The bun was soft but held the whole burger together. The fries were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. They were a tad bit salty but they were still amazing. We also ordered the fish and chips but I wasn't impressed with it. It was too greasy and some of the parts of the batter was still raw. It came with a side so we picked the chowder. A little under seasoned but very creamy with lots of bacon, potatoes and clam. The service is amazing! They refilled our drinks when necessary and always checked in on us. I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu. read more

It was very okay, that's my best way to describe it. It wasn't so bad I wouldn't go back but it wasn't outstanding that I would make it a staple. Went on a Thursday night wasn't too busy had the calamari which was not a fan was basically breading was probably my least liked I've ever had. Ahi tuna salad was good, fish & chips was good too the ribs were very yummy. We had the made to order I think 3 berry cobbler which was delicious. I don't think it would hurt to try some things are just a hit or miss. Got our food quickly pretty sure we asked for a side of fries I swear the waitress turned around right after we asked & there were the fries. Wasn't offered kids menus right away so I didn't even know there were kids meals but the waitress got us some & she was very friendly & helpful. An app, 3 meals, side of fries & dessert came to $111 which I don't think was too bad. read more

The food is alright but the service is worse. I don't know why we keep coming back. Every time we come here the service is terrible. It doesn't matter if it's a full restaurant or the restaurant is empty the service is all the same, terrible. As I sit here and write this we handed only been helped once in the 30+ minutes we've been here. You're better off going to The Mint across the street. read more

Waitress was friendly and had good service. Burger was good but kinda on the small side. Southwest salad is more like a side salad with a few black beans. Nothing else about it was "southwest" and not really that big. Overpriced. Left hungry. read more

Food was okay but lunch on a Monday had an overly long wait. The staff could do far better at managing customer expectations.

1st time at at the Rainier Bar & Grill tonight. Overall food was pretty good, service was a bit lacking but I think that is due to a busy Saturday night. Was not thrilled that so much of the staff was not wearing masks, including wait staff and all cooks in the back. read more

Cute little place with lots of historical photos and an old style bar. Lots of choices on the menu and friendly waitstaff. The food, however, leaves much to be desired. The "blackened salmon wrap" was basically two thin bits of salmon hidden in lettuce and wrapped in a giant tortilla. The garlic fries were a pile of fries covered in cold, raw minced garlic. Very unappetizing, but useful if you're trying to keep away the Lost Boys. The tequila lime chicken was flavorful, but very overcooked, making it dry and hard to swallow, much like the Griswold family turkey. The only decent part of the meal was the ice water, which helped to drown out this disappointing meal. read more

You gotta stick to burgers here. The steak was very rough. salad was fresh which is a major plus. Nice setting. Great view. Good parking. Good place to meet a friend. Staff is always checking on you. First, I know I'm high maintenance because I eat low carb and high protein (minimal fat). Plus, I can't have inflammatory oils. I ate lunch here a few days ago. Our waiter was good. I asked for a salad with steamed or poached chicken breast. I've ordered this at tons of restaurants and never has an issue because it's so easy. The cook REFUSED to make it. Said there was no room in the kitchen. That was a lie. You can see the kitchen and there was plenty of room. Said they were too busy. They weren't packed. I ended up getting a burger. He had room to cook a burger but not a smaller chicken breast. I won't be going back, ever. read more

We went with a group of six and 4 of us did not enjoy our food. In particular the calamari was inedible (bland and chewy like rubber), and the tuna was flavorless. We sent the calamari back, and I never send food back so that's saying something. My husband also heard the cooks in the kitchen swearing and angry on his walk to the bathroom. So maybe it was a bad day for them. This was about a month ago. read more

This place is my absolute favorite. Even if it takes a bit of time to get a table here I feel like it's worth it. Best Restaurant in Enumclaw for lunch/dinner. Friday's are the hardest to get a table for dinner and the weekend. Pack your patience! We love the Fish and Chips and my husband occasionally gets the Bacon Cheese Burger. I can't get enough of their Steak Salad. Friendly Staff and try to be attentive as can be on a busy day. read more

Ate there on a Monday at around 1pm. Had to wait around 20 minutes to get seated because it literally was the only eatery open in downtown Enumclaw on a Monday. Apparently it was 'loud, obnoxious cackling women day' because it was the loudest restaraunt I've EVER been in. I'm serious I would have worn earplugs if I had them. People were literally yelling to be heard. I asked to change tables to an outside table but was told "were full" (so fu#$ off). Food was fine, beer was good and our waitress was nice. If you don't like LOUD places try someplace else. read more

My wife had the grilled salmon salad ($14.25). The salmon was very good, although supposedly 4 oz and she thought closer to 2 oz. The vinaigrette was too vinegary, but had fresh ingredients. I had a large chicken Caesar ($16.50) that was underwhelming. read more

Kind of disappointed. So many people really talked this place up. First the onion ring appetizer, there good but they were almost too big to eat. Only got 4 oversized onion rings. Couldn't break them apart as the breading just fell off and you had a rubbery onion and then breading. Same thing when you went to bite them. Service, was slow and waitress got my order wrong twice. Ordered steak salad, came back asking if it was the steak sandwich or wrap. I said salad. Then when food came out they brought the sandwich. Really? Also, service was slow and the place was half empty for lunch Finally the food, the steak salad was ok at best. My so. Ordered the turkey dip and it had an overly powerful taste of herbs. The au jus was overly flavored to the point he didn't eat it and we didn't take it home. My daughter ordered the chip strips and frys. Not bad but not what I was expecting from what people said (how great the food was). My wife ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was good. Otherwise the food was lack luster at best. Long and short simply disappeared. read more

I've been coming here pretty regularly lately at around the same time since they close at ten and they're the only place on the plateau that stays open that late on a Sunday, so I was really bummed when they decided to do last call over an hour early, leaving us super hungry and disappointed! read more

After all the great reviews on Yelp had to check this place out. Took the little one and met my brother and sis-in-law for dinner here on a Saturday night - they place was PACKED (good sign). Got seated in about 10 minutes. Our salads were great! My X Martini ($8) was eXcellent (could have drank 1/2 dozen but had to drive, so only 1). Ordered the prime rib - the 8 oz was $17.99 (and it seemed pretty small) was just ok at best (it was very chewy and I ended up throwing it away later cause it was inedible). The horseradish sauce had no kick at all and the au jus was PURE salt (yes, it should be salty but this was like a salt lick). The loaded baked potatoe was just ok and the sour cream was weird tasting. Our waitress was really good. Would I go back? Maybe, for a drink and aKobe burger.... read more

I'm leaving this review for the simple fact that this place puts Wagyu beef burgers on their menu for ~$18 and then doesn't cook them right. I had asked for medium rare. Burger came extremely well done and slathered in way too much blue cheese and onions. The bun was not fresh. It was essentially ruined. Garlic fries were essentially what you would get at a county fair, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you don't mind eating minced garlic. This place is a good stop if you think of it as a bar that has food and not a restaurant that also serves drinks. Servers were friendly. Environment was good. We will go back to try some other things but not any time soon. read more

Came here for dinner two Saturday's in a row. There is a pretty large menu, so you will likely find at least a couple of options that will agree with you. The food is good, portions are generous and prices will not break the bank. There is a good selections of micros that are right around $5. Both times there were errors, that's the only reason for the 4 star rating. Bill was incorrect the first time. They brought out someone else's burger the second time. read more

I really want to love this place, I used to come (many years back) and it was great. We've tried it twice lately and both times have been disappointed. The service is fine, but the food isn't great. Super friendly bartender and the chinese chicken wrap was truy outstanding! The environs are classic shot gun bar with a nice old bar back and a laid back small town feel. Plain, straight forward, fun. Unfortuantely, as friendly as the bartender was, she forgot about me at the end of the bar, chatting with the local clique at the busier end of the bar. My dish was spicy and I had finished my beer, had to beg for water, and it took forever to get my check, a pet peeve of mine. Ncie place with some guest -care issues. read more
