We had a very long wait to get seated even though there were numerous open tables. Once seated, the server was friendly and helpful, but that didn't last very long. The server asked what side we wanted with our meal saying that it was included. But then when we received the bill, we were charged for the sides. We received diet sodas even though we had asked for regular. We had a very long wait for the food and and a long wait to get the bill. Better experience than expected. This is one of very few "themed" restaurants in Western NY. Great place to take kids for the atmosphere, animals, etc. Food: The food is, of course, overpriced. With that said, it at least was of better quality than we expected. The kids portions are large. Service was adequate (no issues). Wait: A lot of reviews mention a long wait. Considering this is a tourist area, and they don't take reservations, that's somewhat expected. Trying to avoid the long wait, we went early. At 4pm we waited about 15-20min. And considering there's things for the kids to look at, it went by very quickly. Tip: To get the full "atmosphere", ask for the Elephant room. The other rooms still provide a view of the exterior windows and restaurant lobby, taking away from the "Rainforest feel". We decided to check this place out after hearing how fun it is for kids. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by the food. The kids did enjoy the entertainment - the rainstorms come every 30 minutes and the animals "wake up." Although my 4 year olds were frightened by the active tigers that were right next to us, they warmed up to them by the end of the meal. The kids menu has a good variety. Each entrée comes with a choice of side. It's great to see healthier options highlighted - fresh fruit, applesauce, steamed vegetables, corn, and mashed potatoes. They even show a picture of each item so that children can easily "read" the menu. I like that French fries and chips weren't pictured, but printed instead. This makes it easier when we are trying to avoid fried options. The kids meals were larger portion sizes. Each plate came with 2 orange sections. I had some of the rotisserie chicken and was impressed by its flavor and moistness (sorry I had to say it). My mom was looking for a gluten-free item. They do have gf pasta, rolls, and salad dressing. She chose the Tropical Island Chicken Salad. They did forget to remove the garlic bread that it was served with, but we should have reminded the server when we were ordering. The salad was good, but not sure if it really was worth $17.49. Service was great. They went above and beyond and did a birthday announcement, song, and cupcake for each child. I loved that the cupcakes were just frosted with whipped cream instead of a mound of buttercream. The manager even gave each of them a $5 credit for the arcade. Although most of the games were broken and we couldn't redeem our tickets at the prize machine, the kids had fun. It's a fun place to check out to celebrate a young child's birthday. I arrived for lunch with a family of 5 . It took about 40 mins to get a table. The waiter (his name was Tyrone ) came to us fairly quickly we ordered but it took very long to get our food . The appetizer took 30 mins to come out ... & another 30-45 mins to get or main entree and when our food came out it was luke warm :/ . One thing I must say my mom didn't like her food and they switched it out with no problems so that was a plus. The drinks were decent . You get a free glass when leaving. My sister says the beer was good and a fair portion . The waiter gave us 3 glasses to go but he did give us one dirty beer glass with beer in it that spilled all in to the bag and my car that was unacceptable he could have at least rinsed it so it wouldn't make a mess . I've been to rainforest cafe in two other locations , both were beautiful this one I feel was too open and too much light so you don't really get the full jungle vibes like the ones in Atlantic City and Edison . What began as a seating fiasco and was on its way to being a full-out customer service calamity was saved only by the grace of God and the power of our amazing server Chelsea. She deserves all the awards. When you visit the Rainforest Cafe, ask for Chelsea. Now for the food, included in the free appetizer sampler dish were some "chicken" tenders. I must say I'm not convinced they were chicken, perhaps gator? (not trying to be funny here) Honestly I'd have preferred that because they were extraordinarily tough and rubbery. Wasn't a fan of the guac on the plate, but that's just me. The rest (cheese sticks, chips, dip, spring rolls & I think something else?) was pretty good. For my main entree, I ordered the crab stuffed salmon with rice and spinach cream on the seasonal menu and it was very good. The rice wasn't my favorite, it was on the dry and crunchy side. Salmon could have had a touch more seasoning, but no real complaints here as I consumed every last bite. We ordered some mashed potatoes on the side to try and those were absolutely the bomb! Came here for my children's birthday. The atmosphere and service was great. However, we have mixed feelings regarding the food. I tried the Primal Steak at the suggestion of our server. It did not disappoint. It was very good, and well cooked. The mashed that came with it was good, and the veggie choice was okay...a little bland...but okay. I also tried a bowl of the Jungle Safari Soup. I really liked that! We also tried the Chicken Salad Croissant. It was okay, but incredibly dry. We ended up not finishing it, and leaving most of the "outsides" of it on the plate. Definitely needed something on it. The kids tried the Jurrasic Chicken Tidbits, Mac and Cheese, and the Pasta with Alfredo. The "dino nuggets" were nothing more than those cheap crappy ones you can get yourself for incredibly cheap, and the Alfredo was terrible (tasted like that cheap crap you can get out of a jar on sale for a dollar at the supermarket). The Mac was good, though. I ended up eating the nuggets so they didn't go to waste, and the alfredo was left to be thrown away. My kids wouldn't even eat either of them. Too bad those two meals were my birthday girls' meals...This kind of made me sad. The fresh fruit was good, though, that came as a side. I get these were kids meals...but they need to be enjoyable too, if parents are expected to bring their children. Portion wise they were good, but when you tack on the price of the kids meal...you'd expect it to be at least decent 'tasting'. For dessert, we tried the Sparkling Volcano. It was okay. I found the brownie part to be a bit dry, but it was good. It definitely fed all of us, though, and i'd get it again should we ever be in a situation that warranted it. Sat in the rain waiting for it to open 2nd group in line and there was already a 15 min wait because they allow hotel guest in first and people in the arcade too. Yeah I get that is kind of ok but embarrassing. The place is empty. How is there a wait. I know Covid has a lot of employees sitting in their government money at home instead of working but that's another topic. For a place only open 4-5 hours a day get it together. But I didn't want to eat with my fingers and it was real hot to begin with. But it was good! It was not that busy. The restaurant is cool if you never been...the name gives it away...rainforest atmosphere and the animals move and make noise. The Rainforest Cafe is located right inside of the Sheraton, where we stayed for an overnight so it was ultra-convenient. The wait at 7pm was 45 minutes to an hour, but we passed the time by playing games in the arcade, and getting a drink at the bar. We sat right next to the tigers. They perform their "show" every thirty minutes or so. If you have young kiddos that are skittish, you might prefer a different table. While we were waiting for our food, my daughters and I were able to look at the other animals (elephants, gorillas, and more), and the mini-aquarium. The food isn't anything special, and be prepared to spend 12 dollars for a kids meal. But, the experience is fantastic and my girls said dinner at the RC was their favorite part out of the whole Niagara Falls trip. read more

We went during lunch instead of dinner to minimize the crowd noise. We also made sure to sit in an area not directly under an animatronic. Overall it was a very nice experience and they were more than willing to accommodate both my sensory needs and dietary restrictions. I got a quesadilla with no meat or vegetables. We had forgot to ask if the quesadilla came with veggies at first, but had no problems switching my veggie quesadilla out for a plain one once we realized. Visited this Niagara Falls NY location twice during our trip. The first visit was wonderful! The food we got delicious! We got their Chile Con Queso. I got the Tropical Island Chicken Salad and my gentleman got their Fried Shrimp Meal. In fact, the food was so good the first visit I decided to celebrate my birthday dinner here a couple nights later. Sadly, a couple nights later my birthday dinner left much to be desired. My significant other got the Fish and Chips and I got their Primal Steak. I do not really know if his Fish and Chips was good but, my steak was not! Overcooked, tough, full of gristle, greasy and had little taste. I did not mention my meal to my gentleman nor did I mention it to anyone at the restaurant as I did not want to spoil his attempt to provide me a nice birthday dinner. We ordered their Volcano Cake for dessert...it really was horrible. The homestead was super nice and worked hard to get us seated quickly. To be honest when we sat we were Initially worried bc the menu was not very exciting but in the end it was very good. To order a steak medium rare and receive an unchewable piece of meat is beyond shameful. A medium rare steak should come off the grill at 120° while a well done steak is cooked to 160°. To have a 40 degree difference means that steak sat on the grill for MINUTES beyond what was ordered. You're charging 4 star prices while giving 0 star food. Let me start out by saying that my wife and I are HUGE Rain Forest Cafe fans. We have been to multiple locations over multiple states. When we were in town to see Niagara Falls and heard there was one here, we had to go. Food: If you have been to any Rain Forest Cafe before you probably know what the menu is. We really come here for the atmosphere and the merchandise to be honest. My wife and I got burgers and tacos, everything was good but it wasn't anything mind blowing. Restaurant: The restaurant it self is really cool! They got all the usual tropes that you come and know to love about Rain Forest. They got the elephants, the penny alligator, the thunder storms, and the gift shop! The animatronics were in good shape and all seemed to move well! It's so much fun watching the animals shout and dance when the thunder storms start to happen. I will say the best part of any Rain Forest Cafe is the merchandise. They have a great gift shop with Niagara Falls and New York themed products with your favorite Forest characters. We got some cool magnets, cups, and pressed pennies! Location: I will say this is the only downside to the restaurant. This Rain Forest Cafe is in a long strip mall sort of place that is connected to multiple different restaurants. You have to enter in through a main door that is connected to all these other places and it just felt like the restaurant was shoved in the back. Other than that the location is in a pretty good place right next to Niagara Falls! Overall: If you like Rain Forest Cafe or are in need for a fun restaurant to spend the afternoon at near Niagara Falls, this is your place! We had our grandsons age 1 and 2 1/2 for the day and wanted to take them somewhere fun for dinner. Upon arrival we were told there was a 30 minute wait. Fortunately there are games out front to help keep those waiting occupied. The wait was less that the expected time and the activities kept the 2 1/2 year old occupied. The restaurant is decorated with animated animals that move and make sounds. The setting is that if a jungle. Every so often all the animals start to make their sounds and there is fake thunder and lightning. Neither of our two grandsons were frightened by the display. Our server was Arianna. To say that she was awesome was an understatement. She made sure that all of our needs were always address so that the children didn't get bored. I had the Amazon feast which was chicken, ribs, coleslaw and a choice of sides. It was quite good. My wife had roast chicken that she enjoyed. The kids meals were more than ample. Both kids enjoyed their meals. The Rainforest Cafe is in a touristy area and probably patronized by those visiting the area. When I ordered the "Aloha Salmon $ Shrimp" and asked our server if she could ask the cook to be more careful and not to overcook the salmon, she said, "there's only one way to cook the salmon." When the dish came, the salmon was overcooked. And the Jasmine rice that came with the entree was undercooked. They were unable to refund me at the register.
