Mystery Scrambled Egg Mix Upon arrival 10:00am : We were on our way out of Niagara Falls looking for a quick breakfast. The restaurant is attached to the Sheraton Hotel where we spent our weekend. The hostess seemed very frantic which was a little confusing seeing as there were not that many patrons. After ten minutes of waiting she sat us near another couple. I was concerned about the social distancing restriction so I asked the server to sit at another table further away from the other couple and she said "that table is dirty". The couple offered us Lysol wipes which I used to wipe down our table that the restaurant failed to do as a precaution. My boyfriend overheard the other couple complain about their meal and demand a fresh meal which the manager seemed to allow. My boyfriend and I at this point realized we were in for a less than favorable experience. We both ordered scrambled eggs and bacon, it arrived about 30 minutes later. The eggs were very cold, not freshly cooked, and looked as though they had been premade and were sitting out for quite sometime, the toast was also cold and unbuttered. We also requested cheese and it appeared as though they sprinkled the cheese from the fridge without any attempt to melt it. If we're being honest I wouldn't even have fed the mystery egg mixture to my dog. We got up immediately and addressed the concern to the bartender as our server was not attentive at all. ( a complaint the other couple also made) She proceeded to ask us several times if we had anything to drink, at which point my boyfriend politely answered NO. We simply were extending the restaurant a courtesy by letting them no we refused to eat what they seemed to think was a reasonable meal. When you step foot into an establishment you expect a particular level of service, making eggs fresh one might consider to be a bare minimum. The Rainforest Cafe in Florida has always been a favorite stop for me and my family. So, when we found one in Niagra Falls, we just had to give it a try. The atmosphere and overall experience were not quite the same. I think that's because the Florida location is a stand-alone building, and the restaurant in Niagra Falls is housed with another building. The food was pretty good but very expensive. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp with mashed potatoes and Cole slaw. My husband ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger, which was huge. Our son had a hot dog and French fries. Everything was cooked to order and the service was very quick and friendly. If you're in the mood for something different with a little added ambiance, stop in and give it a try. Visited again yesterday. This visit was much different compared to last time. The line was out the door, the hostess wasn't very nice and it was completely disorganized. I got there and several people were skipping the line, etc...there was definitely NO social Distancing Inside this place. If there is any kind of wait, people should be required to wait outside. This place is always neat especially when you're have kiddos. The place really comes alive quite a bit while your in there. The food was pretty good and they really seem to go out of their way to make the customer happy. They were out of the souvenir glass that was advertised and made sure I got one that was better then the one I would have. The nachos were very good and leaded. The coconut shrimp was very good! The dipping sauce was a little different but not bad. I got the mahi coconut drink which was very good. I do like how they will come pick you up and drop you off in their gold cart!! read more

It was q great experience. Really felt like I was in a forest with the animals making all the sounds and the effects with the lights. It's great for a family night. The only down side was that the steak i ordered didn't really have much flavor. The price was a bit high for the quality of food, it felt like I was paying more for the ambiance than the food but I did have a good experience overall and the staff was great. 3.5 stars. As some have reviewed and I'll add my name to that list, it's a one time we've been there place. It's pricey and imo a 3 star price not 2. A steak sandwich was 19 US, fried chicken breast was 19 US. I picked the Chinese chicken salad which I was a bit hesitant on initially but man I found it fabulous at 14 US. The place is nuts with foot traffic and we had about a 30 minute wait which I had no problem with. Everyone enjoyed their meals but like I said a bit pricey. The volcano dessert was full of calories and we devoured everyone of them. It was plenty for 4 of us, 1 child included but costing us about 14 US. Stayed at the Sheraton, so used this as an easy dinner option with the kids. Showed up around 630 on Saturday and was told the wait was 60-90 minutes. No big deal, took a dip in the pool first. Went back an hour later and was quickly seated. This is the only thing that happened quickly all night. Our server was pleasant enough, took drink orders and brought the non-alcoholic drinks quickly. The bottled beer and glass of wine took quite some time though. Food was pricey, and took over 40 minutes for simple food - kids hot dog and pizza, grilled chicken sandwich and house salad. Nothing should've taken more then 15-20 minutes IMO. The salad was missing its dressing. I know it's Easter eve, but we're not rabbits! Complained about the length of time and lack of salad dressing, and we got comped the inedible salad. Unfortunately the rest of the food wasn't much better. Avoid. read more

The food was OK, even the service was decent. However, we had an experience we would NEVER forget. To put it simply, the establishment did absolutely nothing about an occurrence that made MANY customers uncomfortable. Not to get into details, a father at a large table was touching his young child very inappropriately and sharing alcohol with her. The manager was made aware and said that there is nothing she could do about it, and could NOT ask them to leave. I'm not sure if it is because the party was not english speaking or because the bill would have been large. However, many tables complained and nothing was done about the situation by the manager of the establishment. I don't believe something such as this should go unnoticed. I believe more should have been done and could have been done. She let the family eat, drink and continue their behavior and then left without any consequences. Extremely disturbing. You pay for the atmosphere and the location. The menu has lots on it to choose from but at a high price. Took a while for the drinks to be brought over and then for the waitress to come back to take our order. They had a special for buffalo mozzarella stick we thought we would try them they came out cold the cheese wasn't even melted. The steak shrimp and ribs was a good deal if you wanted a little of everything. There isn't a ton of food for the price but there was some flavor. The steak was dry but the shrimp were good. They didn't refill the drinks and it was a very drawn out process to get the bill and then to wait for her to come back to run the card. If you want to be a tourist and have never been then give it a try but even then I would say steer clear and save your money. read more

We love going to this Rainforest Cafe! If you park at the Seneca Casino and walk down to the restaurant you will more than likely come in contact with many different things to do. The food here is awesome! I always get a Big Islanders Chicken Ceaser Salad which comes with a hearty portion of fresh grilled chicken. Visiting the area to get out of the house for the first time since covid 19. Seating went fairly quickly, even when we had to ask to be reseated because our son was terrified of the animatronic snake. We sat in the TGI Friday's patio which was fine. (Careful though- beggars will come right up to your table asking for money!) We were greeted by the server, a young gentleman. He took our drink orders and the kids orders immediately so that they could be satisfied quickly. The food was alright. I would probably not go if we didn't have the Groupon. The low stars are the service. Yikes. I am not sure if it was because of lack of needing servers due to the virus and not having enough staff, or because we were seated at an entirely different section of the area. I didn't even get the bill and just gave them our Groupon and left. I would say it took the server approximately 20-25 min to get our check to leave. The service is good and it wasn't too busy when we went. There aren't many healthy options and they were out of salads because of an e-coli outbreak. Even though I'm an NF local, today was my first visit to the Rainforest Cafe on 3rd street! Our "Safari Guide", Ahmari, was so sweet, and professional! The food came out pretty fast, and was actually really good; I normally don't hold high hopes for chains, but this actually met my expectations as far as a quality meal. I got the Caribbean Coconut Shrimp, and I was very satisfied. It came with a great mango sauce, and a side (seasonal veggies). The animatronic wildlife was super neat too! We sat next to the tigers. I had the worst steak I've ever had, and it was over cooked on top of it. I informed the server, and the manger came out with an attitude telling me I shouldn't have eaten my steak if it was so bad. There used to be a Rainforest Cafe in my town when I was a child. I remember walking by and wishing we could go in. Today I finally went and it was disappointing. The atmosphere was everything I remembered. The animatronic animals were a nice touch and the sounds of the rainforest were calming. I gave this review 3 stars because of the service, general staff confusion, and lack of customer service. The host stand had 4 different staff members directing who went where and left the guests with a sense of confusion. My wife ultimately asked, "who do we follow?" Our waitress was quick to point out that she in fact was NOT a waitress but the rest of the staff was busy. Again, she mentioned she wasn't a waitress and it showed. She had no knowledge of the menu and made ordering frustrating. The food was alright. The drinks were ok. The most exciting part was the souvenir cups we got to take home. I HAVE to brag... went to Rainforest Cafe today... was TOTALLY worth it!!!! The BEST customer service... from the host... all the way down to the Server... wasn't even a special occasion... just a favorite restaurant. We asked to be sat in front of the tigers if possible and OUR REQUEST WAS HONORED! Food came out perfect. Hot and tasty!!! Ribs falling OFF the bone. The BBQ sauce is to die for!! My son said, "Best day ever!" He LOVES tigers. The gift shop leaves some to be desired.. it is mainly clothing... no stuffed animals and I think that is largely due to covid. There IS an arcade attached to the restaurant that isn't owned by the restaurant... a word to the wise... the machines don't give refunds... witnessed a little girl putting $50 in a machine... and she told her momma about it... momma was pissed!!!! They have an arcade area as well and while trying to "cash in our tickets for prizes" the lady completely ignored my sister in law and went to the next person in line after her. So rude. The tables felt sticky like they weren't clean all the way and the food was over priced for what we got. I got hard rice , the french dip sandwich was bland, it was just not worth it in all our opinions. Maybe the only good thing about our visit was the drinks .
