Wow, the bubble tea places from Cali are popping up all over the place in the DFW area! I am a fan of ToCoToCo though. Their cups alone won me over. I love the clear coffee cups with a cute heart-shaped stopper. I like the convenience of already having a hole poked in the lid for you so you don't have to struggle with breaking the seal of the traditional bubble tea cups. My friend and I stopped by because we heard about their BOGO 50% off promotion they're currently having and I encourage everyone to do the same! I got the "Tiger Sugar" and thought it was one of the prettiest drinks I've ever had. I like the brown sugar flavor mixed in with the fresh milk. You can get it with either fresh milk or milk tea! Their boba is pretty good too. The texture of the boba is spot on and not too mushy and not tough - it has just enough bite. The blueberry green tea has a pretty strong blueberry flavor and was a bit sweet for me but remember you can always adjust the sweetness level (as well as ice level!) We stopped by on a Wednesday evening during their soft opening. Service was very slow... we waited 25 minutes for two drinks. They were running a BOGO 50% off promotion for all drinks. Almost always a pleasure at TocoToco- good service, good drinks, the taste of the drinks and consistence of the tapioca pearls is almost always on point. I would recommend 30% ice and 50% sugar for the best balance of sweetness and coldness (personal preference). I would say, sometimes their staff members that aren't behind the counter don't have masks on all the time- for example they had street food in the back side where the people moving the food did not have masks on. Other than that, I would recommend this place for their drinks- they have a good variety and I've never been disappointed. I ordered the oolong milk tea with boba, my boyfriend ordered the tiger sugar with boba, and my brother ordered the peach lemongrass tea. My boyfriend drank all of his and said he liked it and my brother's drink was quite good too! It had tiny pieces of peach and a big slice in the drink that reminded me of canned peaches but I enjoyed it. It's definitely more of a peach flavor than lemongrass and does taste syrup-y (as most fruity drinks are), but it's a solid drink. Also, it reminds me of a Dole fruit cup, haha! My drink was disappointing though; the oolong taste was faint and tasted incredibly watered down. I ended up taking a few more sips but I couldn't finish it. I went here to try their milk tea, as I am trying to visit all boba shops in Plano. It's located in a strip mall along the PGBT, which may be a little hard to find. The shop is very bright, clean, and Insta-worthy. The layout is pretty narrow too. I just ordered a regular milk tea with cheese topping to try it. Ordering was a bit of a hassle. I attempted to pay with card which was not working, and had most of the staff trying to work the payment system together. Luckily I had cash, so I just paid with cash but the mishap did cause a pretty long line and some had left because they only did cash transactions the rest of that night (sorry if my card caused the trouble? haha). Even through all that, the customer service was not the best and accommodating. I'm sure it was due to the first week opening so they were just getting their groove on things. The tea was just okay, and the cheese wasn't that distinguishing as I'd hoped it would be. Despite the mishap with payment and service, I wouldn't mind given this place another try again but after I accomplish my grand list of other Plano boba spots to try :) read more

Update: I consistently hear good things from TocoToco and how they constantly improve and engage their business. I believe it because I've experienced it. The people working hard to serve you are genuinely nice and understanding, so you can't complain about that. Their drinks are already good and I love how they offer some toppings that most boba shops do not offer. They're one of the few boba shops that offers good grass jelly that does not float!! If you're open to trying something different, they are more than happy to recommend new drinks for you!
