Great Chinese Food Great Japanese Food Great Treats from Singapore Friendly Staff Clean Please do yourself a favor and eat here. Order the beef noodle soup. The ramen and pho were pretty good but the beef noodle soup is arguably the best thing to eat in all of Hartford county. Also the curry chicken is amazing! It comes in a Korean stone bowl so it's really really hot (temperature wise not spice) and is surprisingly sweet. Oh and the udon was incredible, it had a wonderful smoky taste and avoided (unlike most places that do Asian noodle dishes) the oily/slimy consistency. Also the sushi is very fresh. We had a very enjoyable meal. Tried four different sushi rolls - dragon, yum-yum, salmon and geisha rolls. All very delicious and well prepared. Our group also enjoyed beef and chicken curry which were a bit on spicy side but still good Servers were very attentive. I came here on a Sunday and sadly no lunch special. I had a few rolls. Minimal flavor and the wasabi was too mild. Servers were okay, but English is not their first language. Free appetizer was just ok. 3 slices of a cooked and fried sushi roll. Came back the next Saturday and for the lunch specials. I got three rolls. Sadly they don't allow you to get the same roll. I got three spicy tuna, eel cucumber, salmon avocado. They were tasty and filling. We also got the vegetable tempura. They used weird vegetable and i didn't like the batter. They had mushrooms, asparagus, huge broccoli in addition to the more typical potato and onion. The amount of dipping sauce was also minimal. Overall ok for the lunch special. read more

So my boyfriend and I order from them likely weekly at this point. We've had their sushi (volcano roll ), pad thai, fried rice, pho, general tso's, curry, all of it. Everything is amazing. We are very into asian cuisine, and have tried several places around the Bel air area, nothing compares to the wide selection and quality of Rainbow King. Added bonus: 90% of time we order delivery and they are ALWAYS earlier than the expected time. Granted we do live close, but literally within 35min TOPS we have our food. We don't plan on looking for another go-to Asian restaurant. Would love to shake the owner and head chefs hand at a business well done. Even their front line staff is so sweet. read more

Rainbow King is one of my favorite places to get sushi in Bel Air. Their specialty rolls are extremely good! I find it best to get take-out because it the service is rather slow. My friends and I went in and were the only ones in the restaurant and it took about hour for our food to come. Besides the slow service, the food is delicious! read more

Stopped in for lunch less than a month after they opened. The décor is a step up from the previous establishment. The staff were friendly and attentive. Ordered sushi and a chicken lunch special. Overall (5 stars): I'm convinced this place is the absolute best sushi you can get in Hardford County under $50. The fish here is incredibly fresh and each piece just melts in your mouth. I love that their sashimi entree($23.95) offers with soup and salad w. 20pcs of fish. The salmon in particular had such a clean finish but honestly each piece was top notch. It can be quite hard to secure a table here without a reservation so make one early or come at the first seating/end of the night. read more

In my experience, these Asian fusion places are usually just okay for one type of cuisine. For instance, they may do Thai food okay but the sushi is lacking. Rainbow King is an exception. Everything we've tried has been excellent. The Orange Chicken is personal favorite (a little heat and lots of fresh orange flavor) but I always need sushi too. Walked in today during lunch time and was the only patron. I was greeted promptly by a bubbly hostess and my server (David) arrived right after I was sat. Ordered 3 rolls: Salmon Avocado Eel Cucumber Spicy Tuna All food was excellent. Came out in about 8 minutes. The server made sure to ask how the food was and engaged further about the eel - citing it was his favorite. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Food was great. Service was excellent. Have been here several times & have never been disappointed. They always include a free cooked sushi appetizer which I love (I normally go for the raw sushi/sashimi). I ordered the Pad Thai from the lunch menu on one visit & thought it was wonderful. Was surprised as the only place I have ever really enjoyed it is at a tiny hole-in-the-wall place (only 4 tables) on Harford Road inside the city limits. I almost gave up on getting good Pad Thai elsewhere. Rainbow King's is just as good & the serving was very generous for a lunch special. You must try this new restaurant! Don't get the pho...been trying to find decent pho in Bel Air (despite the lack of an authentic Vietnamese place) and Thai Spice seems to be the only decent option. Rainbow Kong's Pho smelled & tasted funky, was very cloudy & opaque, made me feel not so good. I wanted to like it. Maybe will come back and try their other, non-pho food another day. read more

We always get great service. I'm vegetarian and often struggle to eat more than just spring rolls, avocado sushi, and veggie tempura at most Japanese places. There's more on the menu here, soup, some tofu dishes and noodle dishes, a few appetizers and THIRTEEN vegetarian rolls and that's not even everything. Seafood sushi is good too, per everyone I've dined with here. They've got a liquor license, which is nice, with asian beers, saki, and cocktails. I placed an order for delivery and there's a minimum, so I had to order more than I actually needed. The crab rangoon appetizer was out of this world. I highly suggest it! The beef with broccoli was also delicious. The vegetables were crispy, but not undercooked. The meat was tender and juicy. My last item was chicken lo mein. My family and I were just here for dinner. We had edamame for an appetizer and it was very good and very fresh. My sons and I got sushi which was some of the best we have had. Our normal go to is Johnny's but this is closer and just as good. My husband got the chicken curry which was amazing as well. Everything had a beautiful presentation and they even bring you hot towels that have an alluring scent. The service was very friendly and eager to please. Also, they gave us a free sushi appetizer that was very good. Oh and check out their iced green tea. It was different than I'm used but I loved it!!
