We have a set of Samsung washer/dryers and the dryer has been deciding to break, one part a time…read more In 2023 these guys came out next day to diagnose our broken dryer. The motor fully went out and they were able to order the part quickly and install it quickly. Fast forward to now, the dryer stopped blowing hot air. It took about 3 business days to air dry a load of clothes. HVAC & Appliance Repair Guys were able to offer same day service, we ended up choosing two days later just bc of our own chaotic schedule. However we appreciate their ability to come out same day. After an embarrassing moment of cleaning our dusty laundry room which has become our *what the heck* room of things that don't belong in other rooms. Max diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the part. Our heating element spring called it quits on us. He was in and out within 30-40 minutes. It's refreshing to have such quick service. Also, while communicating right here on Yelp messages, their replies were prompt. Always within an hour at the longest. Strongly recommend. It's always great to know we have a reliable appliance repair team to call, tho to no fault of their own, I hope we don't need to call them any time soon haha.

First they called me to schedule, then I asked if they could "pretty please" fit us in sooner to let me know. Well instead of 1-4pm they came at 9am since they had a spot open up. I was thrilled. And lucky!! They came right at 9 And got us COOL super quick. The tech wasn't the most friendly but he was good at his job. And by not very friendly I just mean he was a bit icey (no pun intended,) but he did NOT want to engage in any type of conversation. He did not want to engage period. It was fine. He got it fixed but the office and scheduling were phenomenal. Customer care and service 10/10. I do never hope to need them again but I couldn't recommend them more.

Francisco has been coming out every year to kindly take care of our HVAC and I'm always so grateful. Francisco is always smiling, incredibly professional, extremely efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. And he takes the time to answer any questions that I have. Today he was training someone new named Fernando. And Fernando was just as friendly and professional and wonderful as Francisco. Wow! Watts definitely has our business for life based off of the excellent service we always receive. And I feel their prices are reasonable, they're always on time, and they really seem to appreciate (and remember!) their loyal customers like us. Thank you so much!

They found the perfect unit, a Mitsubishi Hyper heat ducted heat pump that would provide air to all the upstairs rooms, and work in very low temperatures. Their price was excellent. They also did an excellent job of explaining to me about the different electronic/ Wi-Fi thermostats available, and why a nest unit, which was my first preference, wouldn't work. Overall a real joy to work with and we would absolutely use them again when we need our main furnace replaced.

Better Air Northwest sent out an estimator (Eric) for free. He was really nice, helpful, and figured out how to solve our issue for a reasonable price! We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) The attached pictures were provided by them and show the beautiful job they did! But I've seen other little touches that proof they are all about getting the job done right. Could not have hoped for better - I would hire them and Better Air Northwest again anytime for any job they perform!

The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.

I was looking to get a quote for an HRV installed so I called and asked about that. I was asked when the last time our HVAC was serviced and since it had been a couple years was told we should just schedule a service before going ahead with a quote. So I scheduled - great! Guy came out and performed the service, but during the service the float switch we had on the system (so the condensate from the AC wouldn't overflow into our crawlspace if the drain got a clog) shorted the system when he plugged it back in. He said these things are unusual and not needed, since if it overflows it'll just have water in the crawlspace, no big deal (!?!), not like if the HVAC was in the attic. And the system wouldn't turn on unless he unplugged it, was that ok? Since I wanted the HVAC and AC to work I said ok. I asked the technician about getting a quote for an HRV and how that would work, etc, and he said he didn't know much about those and that he didn't see why they were necessary. While agree they're not necessary, we want one to improve our indoor air quality - thus the original call! He said he would note it down and the office would get back to me. Left with a $300 service bill, and an HVAC system in worse-off shape than before (no working float switch), I called back the next business day to see what could be done. The owner was really helpful and said he'd look into it, called back the next day and had the part ordered and would fix the float switch for free. I asked about getting a quote for an HRV and he said they don't really do them, so couldn't help out here. Ugh! That's why I called originally and wouldn't have had someone out here and paid $300 for service I didn't really want. All I really wanted was a quote! Lesson learned on my part, but overall won't be working with them again as they didn't help be address what I wanted to with my system (and I'm out $300 which seems pricey for what was ~1 hour maintenance service)

He told me what size we should be using, and why, and where to find them. I could not be happier with these guys, and will absolutely be using them again for any and all of our HVAC needs.
