When I was in the store today, I observed an inside sales person helping a customer. This customer was looking to replace her vinyl windows. The sales person was very informative and helpful. When the customer was leaving, she said, "this is the kind of place I enjoy shopping". I would highly recommend you shop at South Fork Lumber when you have any home improvement needs.

Plenty of booze, even more rare options than you may typically find at big liquor stores tbh…read more Prices are slightly higher than large stores but that's to be expected in relatively remote areas. Plenty of beer too with some focus on Colorado beer, didn't really browse much and don't have a taste for wine but it looked like it would have more than enough to satisfy all types of wine needs but of course snobs may have shit to say about not having some 1973 vintage whatever. All in all, better liquor store than I expected in such a small town.

This location has a fairly good selection for being out in the mountains, I was surprised the first couple of years that they had as much variety as they do compared to other small towns. That being said, prices are high due to the laws of supply and demand. Not outrageous, but higher than what you can most likely get back home. They have several of my husband's favorite brands as well as lighter, fruity mixes that my mother in law likes. Plenty of beer as well. Service is fine, though not overtly friendly. In comparison to other locations that have come and gone, at least they have normal business hours you can count on. There is also plenty of parking as they have a good size lot right at the edge of town. I would say this is 3 1/2 stars but they get the other 1/2 a star by default of being the only game in town.

At least the store's clean, but there was a bedbug scare there a few months back. I stopped shopping there because they're overpricing things almost as bad as the Nazarene store. Go to The Hut or Memory Lane next to Coors. They're nice and don't scream at each other.

The last 2 years though (possibly 3 as I skipped a year in the middle) they have had a kettle corn stand, run by the most engaging and kind gentleman as well as Wild Mountain Jewelry. I really do love Wild Mountain Jewelry as they have such a variety to choose from. I've found myself needing to get at least one of their medicine stone jewelry necklaces every time I go, good thing those are only in the $20-30 range! But they have all sorts and purses, wallets and figurines too. I'm not their only fan, my mother in law and aunt also go their every trip and on my last visit I overheard conversations of other return customers. This past summer I noticed one of the businesses was a tent full of homemade soap and candles. The carvings were quite intricate and I left with several soaps that were in the $5-8 range. That tent is cash only though, so be prepared. Luckily I was parked at the Kentucky Belle already so I was able to run to my car for my wallet, as I only had my debit card and phone on me at the time. I can't wait to see what they have next summer!
