A lot of businesses come and go in Creede, including liquor stores. I cannot recall how long this location has been here, but I'm certain it's been the only location consistently open and operational for liquor in Creede for at least 7 years.
This location has a fairly good selection for being out in the mountains, I was surprised the first couple of years that they had as much variety as they do compared to other small towns. That being said, prices are high due to the laws of supply and demand. Not outrageous, but higher than what you can most likely get back home.
They have several of my husband's favorite brands as well as lighter, fruity mixes that my mother in law likes. Plenty of beer as well. Service is fine, though not overtly friendly. In comparison to other locations that have come and gone, at least they have normal business hours you can count on. There is also plenty of parking as they have a good size lot right at the edge of town.
I would say this is 3 1/2 stars but they get the other 1/2 a star by default of being the only game in town. read more
