Went to Summit dental about a year ago because I cracked my front tooth. I was planning on just getting a partial since I had no major issues with my teeth. After waiting about half an hour, they took me back for x-rays, a lot of x-rays, before even seeing a dentist. I was then taken to a very cramped exam room. Without even discussing options for a partial, the doctor came in and simply stuck her finger in my mouth and started feeling to see if any of my teeth were loose. She told me I'll need to have them all pulled and get a full set of dentures. What? Oh hell no! They said they would go ahead and send in a preauthorization request to see what my insurance would pay for. I told them go ahead, even though I knew there's no way I would be coming back. As it turned out, my insurance denied the preauth because it did not meet their criteria. In other words, it wasn't medically necessary. read more

First time at Summit dental, they left me waiting for 20 minutos without saying anything until I had to cancel the appointment before going back to work. not even the Dentis (Jenna Shuler) reported any delays. i was there for 45 minutos total, everyone walked into their appointment at 1 p.m. except me. very disappointed, they do not know how bad is to go back to work and ask for another time to go to the doctor. read more

Poor quality receptionist at this place as well as poor scheduling. I first went to this location 2 weeks ago for what was scheduled as repairs on 2 front teeth only to be told I was there for a cleaning. Instead of arguing about it I accepted the appointment two weeks later which was today. My first appointment there I wore the mask upon entering and that was it. Today after entering the receptionist sent me back out into the vestibule for "screening" even though I was wearing the mask. As she proceeded to ask me the same dumb ass questions I answered no twice. She immediately got an attitude with me and proceeded to raise her voice informing me that this was their policy bla bla bla. At this point I told her to cancel my appointment and lose my fing number. I be damned if I am paying someone to talk down to me about some bull shit that IS NOT EVEN REQUIRED BY LAW. F summit dental and f that ratchet bitch. If you're going to institute some bs make sure you are consistent and don't lie to people to make appointments then try yo act like it's a cleaning. read more

Note - This office is now SUMMIT DENTAL CENTER I've been coming to this dental office for years and I've always been relatively satisfied. Lately it seems like they have really taken things to another level. Customer service is excellent. Front office people are friendly and very efficient. My dental hygienist, Charlene, is caring, attentive and very knowledgeable. I see Dr. Wiggins now, but I have seen Dr. Davis in the past. Both are great. read more

This is for Summit Dental and Dr Michael Gritzuk. First, I hate going to the dentist like most people but Dr. Gritzuk is charming and kind and funny and knows his business. I went in for a general cleaning and a first appointment, that went very well. The Dr then wrote out a list of things he would like to tackle in order of importance. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. When I came back 2 weeks later for the teeth (yeah I said teeth) removal. I was pretty relaxed from the Valium taken before hand. Then they liberally applied the hurri-caine gel and let that sit. A short time later he came by and short me full of Novocain, we waited about 10 minutes and he shot me up again. There was no pain when he went to work. He talked me through the whole process and what was going on. My anxiety was through the roof but he took the time to work with me. I got referred to an oral surgeon to have the wisdom tooth yanked with sedation. I will go back to Dr. Gritzuk because I believe he truly cares about his patients, their comfort and well being. read more

This place makes it so that I actually don't hate going to the dentist. The dental hygienists who do the x-rays and teeth-cleaning are all very nice and not at all judgy. The dentist only pokes his or her head in for like 30 seconds, and then they're gone. I asked my hygienist today if oil pulling actually works, and she had no idea what I was talking about. Does she not read the internet?! Dang! She said she'd investigate and let me know next time. If not, I'm going to bump them down a star... :P read more

I'm a dental phobic, so sedation dentistry has been a miracle for me. When I say phobic, I mean so afraid of the dentist that I had to have my significant other call and make the appointment for me. They gave me a few pills and I don't remember a thing about the cleaning, crown prep and fillings they did for me. I highly recommend this practice if you have been putting off the dentist due to fear. read more

If you get your teeth cleaned by Tammy you will be so happy! She is truly a sweet and genuine woman. Ask for her if you can! The dentist pops in for a minute to look at you and I had Dr. DiPrima and she is awesome! She made me laugh and smile and I really liked her! This is a great clinic for your dental needs! I have had several dental assistants now, and most of them have been very good. I've only had one who was unnecessarily rough. I really like the dentists here - they are both very friendly. They have a new name now - Summit Dental Health - and this location will improve because they now have full time dental assistants, so no more musical chair dental assistant - I can have the same one (as long as she stays there). read more

I waited about 45 minutes after my appointment time before I walked out. Lady behind the counter didn't seem to care too much about what was going on in the office. I've had Bell's Palsy, which affects the 7th facial nerve - Dr there insisted it was the 5th. So my opinion is that their Drs are misinformed and will argue with you about it and they don't care if you're in pain or what time your appointment is. There are far too many other businesses out there that understand how to treat a customer. read more

Dr. M and hygenist are wonderfull, but when they tell you something will only cost you a certain amount, don't believe them and be prepared to receive a bill a month later for another few hundred bucks! Very disappointed and will find another dentist, because I don't like surprise charges! read more

Now called "Summit" but I assume the level of care is the same. Spend a little more for the good of your health and go elsewhere.

This is about the 90th and Maple location.. The office staff seems nice, but Dr. Ritchie has called in for every appointment we've had. We prepaid for my husband to be sedated and have ALL the necessary work done and Dr. R. called in, making it impossible to do all of the work. We are told that he is the only one who can do the root canals and such. Also, when my husband woke up, he noticed there were stitches on the underside of the tongue and only a couple of teeth were filled. We plan to request a refund on all unfinished work and go elsewhere. read more

I went to this place for a cleaning and a pair of crowns six months ago, and it's taken them just as long to bill me on it. Not only did they bill my insurers multiple times, and greatly over-charge me, I had to call them numerous times over multiple weeks to even get a response back from their billing department. Their services are extremely over-priced, and their quality of care is very sub-par. I would highly recommend against choosing them as your new dental care center. read more

worst place/ company EVER! Came to this place for a cleaning they said I needed a cavity filled so I came back to let them fill it. Then the tooth hurt more than in the beginning so I went back they said I needed a root canal. So I came back. they tried but after 4shots of Novocaine I could still feel it so I opted to go to the location on 90th off maple so I could be put out. Keep in mind I paid for this all up front in cash. Center location $250 90th maple location $1400. (I ended up having a back tooth that was chipped but didn't hurt pulled since they were going to put me under all at the same time) After everything was said and done. The 90th and maple location said I owed them $590 more a month later. I had to argue with them that I paid everything upfront and that they needed to send me a detailed statement of my charges if they wanted that money. so they did and found that I only owed them $90 which was better but still not right I paid it anyways. Six months later , from my original cleaning, the Center street office sent me a letter stating that I owed them $278.42. i called and asked why one it took them six months to mail me about this and second that I had paid them in full upfront and to send me a detailed statement that showing that i owed them money. they said they would look into it and call me back. I called once a week for the next 3 months and got the run around. I then received a letter stating that they where going to send me to collections. So I called them again and expressed how upset I was, the lady finally listened and called me back within that day. she told me that there was an error in the way they coded it to the insurance and that I didn't owe them 278.42 in fact they owed me $10. as of 1-5-11 I have yet to receive anything. FYI my first cleaning with them was in January of 2010! this has been going on for a year! Really bad customer service!
