Without A Hitch - Allison helped make sure our centerpieces, placecards and table numbers all went down perfectly!

Our wedding planning was plagued…read morewith constantly changing COVID regulations and I was full of anxiety about how our big day would go. Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Over email, phone, and video call, they put my mind at ease and I felt so prepared the day of my wedding, no matter what restrictions were in place. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. She knew the schedule and set up like the back of her hand. When the timing of certain day-of activities changed last minute, she made sure to let me know of the changes and the night went on without issue. If it were not for COVID and my anxieties around how it would affect our wedding I likely would not have looked for an outside coordinator- our venue did provide one that began to work closely with us (and Allison) in the month or so before the wedding and I truly believe she would have done a comparable job in the day-of execution. But it's the long term commitment to the planning process that makes Without a Hitch special. And while our venue did not host many weddings during COVID, Without a Hitch planned so many, and had the experience and suggestions that made the wedding feel as normal as it possibly could. For any of my friends planning weddings at a less conventional venue or just want more support, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Without a Hitch, and more specifically Allison!

Sarah and her team are there every step of the way, providing advice, guidance, support, and everything you could possibly need. We are so grateful we could rely on Amy to support our special day. It would not have gone nearly as smoothly without her professionalism, organization, and precision. I would turn to Without a Hitch for any major event and know I can trust them to care about the details as much as I do.

I attended a family wedding here last month. It rained the entire weekend, which could have ruined…read morethe festivities but the staff at Riverside Farm made all of the events there very special. There are two main event spaces on the farm. On Friday night there was a cocktail party. We parked in a lot then were shuttled by golf cart to the red barn. As we pulled up, staff said "there are cocktails and small bites inside and s'mores stations set up to your left." My kind of party! It was drizzling so we headed inside. We'd just had dinner at American Flatbread so I didn't sample the food. Rather, we found drinks and went to sit down. Right next to an ice cream bar. Make your own sundaes? What a great idea! After a bit, one of the servers manning the ice cream bar cut up some ice cream sandwiches and brought them around like passed hors d'oeuvres. I loved this and made such a mess. Delicious. Oh and cocktails were strong and yummy. Saturday, it rained again. We arrived to the ceremony in the red barn. We came in from a different entrance than the night before. So many stairs. the ceremony was in the same space as the cocktail party but was so different in feeling. The ceremony was lovely then it was off to an outdoor cocktail hour under a tent. Catering was done by Vermont Farms Catering. Again, great drinks and yummy food! Standouts were the mini buttery lobster rolls and the arancini. After the cocktail party we were off to the main event in the Stonewall barn. There were beautiful tables set in long family style rows. I'll skip the comments on the speeches (hysterical) and decor (gorgeous) and head to a review of the food. Everything was served family style on platters. Dinner was: Roasted heirloom beet salad with goat cheese, candied walnuts, and a champagne vinaigrette Flank steak with horseradish chimichurri Roasted chicken with herb jus Grilled shrimp with wine, lemon and garlic Creamy polenta with leeks and asparagus Grilled broccolini with lemon, garlic and parmesan Crispy potatoes with paprika aioli For dessert: Vanilla bean wedding cake with lemon curd and strawberries Mini cannoli Maple bourbon cheesecake bites Cinnamon maple donuts Dark chocolate brownies Chocolate chip cookies with milk shots Mini strawberry rhubarb pies All of the food was beautiful visually and truly delicious. the broccolini and strawberry rhubarb pies being standouts. The final event was brunch on Sunday back in the red barn. I don't have a menu breakdown but imagine all the standard brunch fare. The perfect going away event for a lovely family event. Of course as we were leaving the sun was out. That was until the tornado warnings went into effect for the very long ride home. My only critique of the weekend was that the red barn is not ADA compliant at all. For one entrance there is a long steep staircase. On the other side where the fire pit is, there are slippery rocks used as steps and no handrails. For someone who walks with a cane, navigating these entrances was challenging. Also, it was raining for most of the time we were there. This made the shiny wooden floors very slippery. I had to get myself to a table to sit down and not move because I was scared that I would slip. the staff was wonderful about providing golf carts to get to and from the parking lot and the barns. Shout out to Sam, who was just lovely.

We hired Katie, "the Hoppy Wife," for our wedding this past October, and her presence made a world of difference on our wedding day. She assisted us with finalizing the sequence of the day, coordinated with all of our vendors leading up to the wedding day, and provided us with several Google documents to help us organize our thoughts and communicate plans leading up to the wedding. On top of this, she was present for the entire wedding day. Despite only seeing photos and a Google document of some of my inspiration, she was able to utilize and set up the whole venue using the props, faux flowers, and decorations I purchased. She even made a bouquet using the flowers I bought from the grocery store; you would have thought we paid a florist! Katie worked flawlessly with all of our vendors. She took control of the sequencing of the day and completed everything promptly. She was quick to seek our advice with any changes in plans. The only downfall of our wedding was some shadiness from our vendor- Katie was our savior by intervening any time we had an issue. She did her best to ensure our day went as planned, and we are forever grateful for her efforts. If you are still determining whether or not hiring an event planner is worth it- I can't recommend Katie enough. With her help, my wedding was more memorable.

I found Katie and she was amazing. She was a God sent. She gave us options for everything and walked us through everything. The time difference was a struggle, but she was up late repling to all my messages. I'm the type of bride, where I just wanted to show up and everything was taken care of. Since we were planning from a distance, she made that happen. She went over and beyond with great ideas. On our way to the airport to NY, for our wedding, we found out my husband's suit never arrived in NY. Since we were about to get on a plane, I texted Katie our situation and when we arrived in NY, she had taken care of everything and his suit was being sent overnight. She is absolutely amazing with kids. My son and nephew got a bit wild and put their swords on top of the closet and they were told they would get it back once they were done getting ready and behaved. They called her "the boss" and kept telling my sister in law and I that "the boss" took it. We applauded her. My 2 year old grandson was extra crazy and wanted to run around as we were waiting to go into our reception. She scooped him and kept him in line till we were announced. She feels more like family and a friend. When you are planning the most important event in your life, make sure you have Katie on your team.

I live in MA, so I appreciated that she accepted PayPal as means of payment, and was accommodating to communication mostly via email and phone call. Quick anecdote: At the beginning of our reception, my husband and I realized that we forgot to bring snacks for our after party, Katie took the lead on ordering pizzas later in the evening and stayed later than she was scheduled to, to make sure everything turned out okay. We would book Katie again in a heartbeat. Thank you for your enthusiasm, professionalism, and attention to detail!

YOU HAVE GOT TO HIRE AMANDA. Seriously ladies, just imagine all the months you've planned so far,…read morethe endless hours doing research, the thousands of dollars you've spent, all of that.. just to find out it didn't go as planned. And why not? Because no one was there to execute it and make sure all of your planning didn't go to waste. AMANDA DOES IT ALL. I didn't have to worry about anything, I didn't have to burden my maid of honor, or my bridesmaids, or my mother, or my mother in law to do literally anything. Like, who's going to hang on to my lipstick? Amanda. My flower petals didn't get delivered, who ran out quick to buy some? Amanda. I hadn't paid all my vendors yet, who hung on to the money and took care of them? Amanda. Our bridal party took a limo immediately after the ceremony to reception, who made sure everyone's phones and bags made it to cocktail? Amanda. And lastly, who was able to take all of my personal items, our gifts, our main decor, you name it, and bring it to our bridal suite while we went on to our after party? Amanda again. Why would I want the people closest to me have to WORK and worry at my wedding. We were all able to have the most amazing time and I know I wouldn't have been in the right headspace to be able to enjoy it as much if I didn't have Amanda and her team executing every little detail that I had worked SO hard for. Call me crazy but I didn't want to work on my wedding day and you shouldn't either. They're incredible at what they do, I wish I had back up like that everyday! So thank you Amanda's Errands & Events, you girls really are priceless!
