The Barn at Smuggler's Notch is such a stunning venue and so well-thought out. A modern canvas that…read morelends itself well to any color scheme and any wedding theme. Sweeping mountain views. Stunning bridal suite. Plenty of space. That is why we originally selected it as our wedding venue. What we didn't know at the time is that we were hiring some of the best wedding professionals in the business - the dynamic duo of Steve & Jenn. I am not exaggerating when I say I'd get married pretty much anywhere as long as they were running the show. Let me start with how incredibly responsive they were. As a wedding vendor also, this is something I greatly appreciate. I would ask a question and get a response usually within 10 minutes. Jenn & Steve made everything pretty effortless for us. Steve helped us with bar selections, table lay out and set up specialty cocktails. Jenn coordinated with all of our vendors for arrival times, set up and take down. We were able to drop off all of our decor on a Wednesday and Jenn had it all set up when we came Friday for our rehearsal. What a special treat for our bridal party and close family to be able to preview the venue with the majority of the decor set up. A review of our wedding day: we had downpours in the morning and in to the afternoon. The team at the Barn set up for an indoor ceremony just in case. Our ceremony was at 4:30pm and downpours came again at 4:15. As I (the bride) was coming down the stairs the clouds parted and I gave the nod to have the ceremony outside - probably right at 4:30pm. Jenn had the team dry off chairs outside not once, but twice after 4pm and we were able to have our ceremony outside, just as we had envisioned. I doubt you will find this level of flexibility anywhere else where you can literally make the call at the very last minute - it meant everything to us to be able to get married with the mountains in the background. The rest of the night was absolutely flawless. Steve made sure to bring us cocktails during dinner, Jenn brought us an array of apps so we could enjoy our cocktail hour while photos were being taken. I had no idea what time it was all throughout the night, but Jenn made sure things were executed on time. She clearly is a professional and seems so chill but is also so organized and direct when she needs to be. The Barn is no doubt the best place to get married in Vermont. I wish I could do it all over again - every moment was absolutely magical. Thanks Steve & Jenn for our perfect day - look forward to working with you both as a wedding vendor and getting to visit the place we got married often.

As a…read moremaximizer bride (who searched through hundreds of venues in the state) and an interior designer by trade, I can attest that you have stumbled upon THE most beautiful venue Vermont has to offer. Jen and Steve have created a space that is both chic and elegant, while retaining the signature VT charm. Every detail has been thought out, from amenity baskets for guests in the lovely restrooms, to an en suite shower for the bride to use on the day. From the beginning of our discussion with the wonderful owners, we knew we had finally found our venue. My husband and I had our makeup wedding (after two Covid postponements over the past three years) this past weekend and it was nothing short of magical. Jen and Steve were kind enough to work with us, graciously accommodating our schedule changes, as well as being incredibly flexible as the scope of our day shifted from a large 180-person shindig to an intimate 30-person DIY experience. They allowed ultimate personalization: granting me the opportunity to come on the property the day before to setup our table spread per my vision and providing a delicious signature cocktail along with our open bar. With every interaction, the owners make you feel special and excited for your day, as if they are close family friends celebrating with you. Our guests noted the quality of the bar selections, as well as the delicious catered food provided by Sugarsnap. We all agreed that the meals represented the best food anyone had ever experienced at a wedding. Kristen was a delight to work with as we coordinated our culinary selections for the big day. All and all, this is the perfect venue run by caring and thoughtful owners and their incredible staff. You cannot beat the natural beauty that surrounds this soulful space, nor the gorgeous interior. Do yourself a favor, and reach out to them ASAP to save your date!

We hired Katie, "the Hoppy Wife," for our wedding this past October, and her presence made a world of difference on our wedding day. She assisted us with finalizing the sequence of the day, coordinated with all of our vendors leading up to the wedding day, and provided us with several Google documents to help us organize our thoughts and communicate plans leading up to the wedding. On top of this, she was present for the entire wedding day. Despite only seeing photos and a Google document of some of my inspiration, she was able to utilize and set up the whole venue using the props, faux flowers, and decorations I purchased. She even made a bouquet using the flowers I bought from the grocery store; you would have thought we paid a florist! Katie worked flawlessly with all of our vendors. She took control of the sequencing of the day and completed everything promptly. She was quick to seek our advice with any changes in plans. The only downfall of our wedding was some shadiness from our vendor- Katie was our savior by intervening any time we had an issue. She did her best to ensure our day went as planned, and we are forever grateful for her efforts. If you are still determining whether or not hiring an event planner is worth it- I can't recommend Katie enough. With her help, my wedding was more memorable.

My fiancé contacted her to set up a surprise photoshoot and capture our proposal. He found her through Google and saw some photos of past shoots that were captivating and beautiful. She was very communicative throughout the booking process and gave great recommendations for picturesque spots in Stowe, VT as well as things to do/places to eat as we are not VT natives. They set up a plan for where he would get down on one knee and when she should pop out to take the photos. When he proposed and I said yes, it was the happiest I had ever been, and the photos she captured absolutely showed that! She seemed to make use glow and look so warm and happy, even though it was snowing!! She was an absolutely trooper, taking multiple photos while it snowed and the wind howled. She made us feel so comfortable and let us even have a moment to ourselves to take the moment in and hold each other (which she also captured!) At the end of the shoot she even checked to see if there were any photos we wanted to grab before saying our goodbyes, so if you have any pose in mind, she would definitely capture it! She told us it might be a few weeks before we saw any pictures but the next day she was able to give us a sneak peek at a couple and we were blown away! We had a great selection of images and a variety of options to choose from. I felt like I was in the moment all over again. Before the end of the week we received our pictures and we couldn't be happier! I couldn't wait to share with everyone just how beautiful they came out. From the start of our communications to the delivery of our gallery we couldn't be more pleased with her work! She is a very kind and talented photographer, and we have nothing but positive things to say!

Jeff was super easy to communicate with, very responsive and flexible, and they worked well with our coordinator. The service was great, and the bus was a huge hit. It added so much to the aesthetic of the wedding, a really nice touch on the green grass next to our white tent. The photo booth itself was great, and they had lots of fun props, a huge hit for adults and kids alike! Photo Booth Planet provided a book for our photo strips, and made sure each guest in the photo walked away with their own copy as well. They were also able to put our wedding logo on the strip, a nice personalized touch! They provided a thumb drive with all the photos, and then sent us a link to a digital album shortly after the wedding.
