He didn't bring much energy to the party, and he didn't have a good music flow. It was all fast, or all slow. All pop songs, or all oldies. He looked professional and was very friendly he just didn't make it a party, also he lost the check my grandmother wrote him so she had to write and send a new one. And several times during my reception I turned around and he was right outside the tent smoking a cigarette. I feel bad writing a bad review of him, because he was very friendly, but the service I received was poor for the $1000 I paid.

Highly professional and they thought through all the needs of our event in advance; we had a very productive pre-event call with Nick to go through all the details. The event went great. Nick has excellent equipment and he is talented at mixing the music. We gave him a playlist that he used and then he very appropriately expanded from that list. He provided a projector and screen and mics for speakers. As the event took place he appropriately managed the volume and tempo/vibe of music and helped us make seamless transitions from music to a slideshow to speakers with presentations. Made it so that I had a super easy time hosting and I never had to worry about the technology of it all. Great guy and can't say enough good things. Highly recommend.

His energy in emails/phone calls was contagious, and we'd leave interactions with him feeling that much more excited for the wedding. Day of, he provided ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception music and was phenomenal! My big hope for our wedding reception (especially post Covid) was that people would dance, and he did such a great job, the dance floor was full all night! We even had a couple of guests who wanted to pay Jason to stay longer. We were a little skeptical about hiring a dj that typically is a club dj for our wedding but turned out to be one of the smarter decisions we made. He really could not have done a better job. He incorporated our tastes into the night but was able to read the crowd and keep them happy. Completely professional and a great guy.

Toasts were supposed to be sprinkled in every 10 minutes within dinnertime, but over 45 minutes passed before Michael called anyone up to toast. This seriously delayed the flow of events and cut our dancing time very short. The worst part is that my maid of honor was the one reminding Michael about the order of events and eventually took a microphone and started announcing instead. Later in the evening, Michael randomly announced that we would be having our first dance when we were not ready. This caused a huge awkward moment because there was no room for dancing and guests were looking at us waiting for us to have our dance. I'm very confused as to why I would be even asked to provide a timeline if Michael did not follow it. The thing that hurt me most is the fact that Michael completely botched our first introduction as a couple. We asked for a specific song to be played when we entered the room but our song was not played until we were at our seats across the room. This was very awkward and shifted the energy in the room. Next, Michael's transitions were extremely long, silent and awkward. Michael did not play music or say anything during transitions. These transitions did not flow naturally, were filled with heavy silence and lasted a long time. Things got so bad that we avoided adding in more events/announcements because we knew Michael's transitions would be uncomfortable. Next, I indicated on the DJ Questionnaire that only clean music was to be played. Towards the end of the evening, Michael played music that was extremely explicit. This was offensive to ourselves, our friends and our family who don't uphold those values. Next, Michael's microphone was echoey and guests could not hear what he was saying for most of the night. When Michael announced things, people looked at each other confused and questioned each other about what was said. A few days after my wedding, I reached out to Michael to discuss what happened. I explained why I was disappointed in the service I received and I was met with an aggressive response. Michael told me all the mishaps were my fault and I could seek legal action if I wanted to. This reaction was very hostile, especially because I was simply expressing the things I was disappointed with and I did it in a respectful way. Michael expressed to me that he needs couples to have a day-of-coordinator in order to perform his job effectively. Apparently, the DJ Questionnaire he provides and a timeline of events is not enough for him to know what to do during our big day; he also needs a resource person to tell him what to do. I don't have anything against this, but it came as a surprise to us because we were never made aware of this before hiring Michael. I don't think we would have hired him if he had told us he needed an additional person to keep him on track. Finally, Michael blamed us arriving 20 minutes late to the reception as the reason the timeline was off. I understand we were late, but that's something that happens at weddings (20 minutes is a very small delay). I guess this delay threw Michael off so bad that he gave up on announcing events. I strongly discourage people from booking Fulton Music because you will spend a lot of money to receive a service that one of your untrained friends/family could provide.
