We spent about 2 HOURS on that first phone call. She took the time to get to know me and my fiancé, learn about our families and our life. She invited us out to her hometown for a BONUS engagement shoot. The photos from that shoot are some of my FAVORITE photos I have of myself and now husband. Leading up to our wedding, I did not hire a coordinator (because it was in our backyard), due to this my timeline was a little disjointed. Lily came swooping in and ORGANIZED everything last minute. She coordinated with my other vendors to make the day flow smoothly. Her management of a wedding day was never interpreted as "unprofessional." It comes from a place in her heart of wanting what's best for her brides and providing a heartfelt product. Lily/Gardenhouse Films work is unprecedented. I sometimes go back to her website and watch videos because her work is so darn beautiful, timeless and breathtaking. Her use of video and music captures each couples unique vibe. Gardenhouse Films price point is right on par for talent of her caliber! As someone who debated not having video, man oh man I am SO GLAD I DID. I go back regularly to Lily's Video and relive the day! She also keeps in touch. I find it so incredibly touching that Lily has reach out regularly to check up on myself and my husband. We are both healthcare workers on the frontlines of this pandemic. Lily has reached out to check up, send us information on how to stay healthy and even has sent us homemade masks!!! I mean WOW! I not only gained a vendor but a friend! Weddings are stressful! I repeat WEDDINGS ARE STRESSFUL! Events occur that are completely out of our control. I had things occur during my wedding that caused us to lose money. I changed my venue and lost substantial money but the terms were clear in the vendors contract! Instead of going on Yelp! And having myself and my entire family slander a persons name and livelihood, I accepted it as a life lesson. It saddens me that during this crazy time, instead of rolling with the punches and appreciating/supporting each other, there are people out there attempting to spread ill will for small businesses just trying to get by. The multiple poor reviews given to Lily are all referencing the same occurrence. It is clearly a misrepresented attempt from a disgruntled bride and her family grasping at straws to obtain control and bully a small business owner by manipulating social media. I can only imagine how difficult a time it is to be navigating the wedding business waters but Lily's policies are on line with what I have heard from many friends and colleagues who are in similar situations. So please. Check out her work! It speaks for itself on so many levels! I WILL be using Lily and Gardenhouse films for EVERY life event for the rest of my life!

From minor decisions I needed help with that weren't even related to photography, all the way to major decisions like song choices and floral arrangements! She was very flexible and graciously worked within my budget, allowing me to have the beautiful photos of my wedding and family that I had always dreamed of but hadn't been able to afford from any of the other photographers I found. She also did amazing engagement photos, for FREE, and included a lovely video of the wedding that I will cherish forever. Lily goes above and beyond to accommodate all your needs and desires. She even brought extremely special wedding gifts for my husband and I on our wedding day! My day and the memories of that day were made all the more perfect for me because of her involvement in it. I was so excited to work with Nicole's for our wedding day. My wife and I are having our wedding…read morecelebration on October 2nd 2021. We had Nicole's booked and secured since November 2020. I was told after providing a deposit that my event coordinator (Kate) would reach out to finalize plans early February. Mid February rolls around and I have not heard from Kate. I reached out via email only to find that Kate is no longer working with Nicole's. Our event was passed on to Margaret. No problem. Margaret and I arranged a call where I discussed our in laws are footing the bill and they LOVE food. So we wanted a lot and a large variety despite being a smaller wedding (50-75 people). Margaret spent the entire call talking me down and telling me I was ordering too much. She asked I look over the options again and downsize. I told her we would but we do still want a large variety. A day or two later I go to email Margaret our (still large but) downsized order...only to find an email from her waiting for me. Her email stated that Nicole's simply could not service us and it was a mistake for Kate to take us on originally. She went on to say that the only way it was feasible for them to serve our wedding is if we were willing to spend a minimum of $15,000 BEFORE TAXES AND FEES. So to recap we've had them booked since November. Between November and March they didn't think to tell us they couldn't serve us. And after talking me down Margaret comes back not 72 hours later to tell me we have to pay over $15 grand. BEFORE TAXES AND FEES. Margaret left us hanging and scrambling to find a caterer for one of the busiest wedding weekends of the year. And to add to the unprofessionalism after providing our home address for her to return our deposit via check...she sent it to the location of our wedding event instead. Do not work with these people and risk being put in the situation I'm in. They cannot be trusted to uphold their end of a bargain. Hell, they can't even be trusted to address an envelope.

And why not? Because no one was there to execute it and make sure all of your planning didn't go to waste. AMANDA DOES IT ALL. I didn't have to worry about anything, I didn't have to burden my maid of honor, or my bridesmaids, or my mother, or my mother in law to do literally anything. Like, who's going to hang on to my lipstick? Amanda. My flower petals didn't get delivered, who ran out quick to buy some? Amanda. I hadn't paid all my vendors yet, who hung on to the money and took care of them? Amanda. Our bridal party took a limo immediately after the ceremony to reception, who made sure everyone's phones and bags made it to cocktail? Amanda. And lastly, who was able to take all of my personal items, our gifts, our main decor, you name it, and bring it to our bridal suite while we went on to our after party? Amanda again. Why would I want the people closest to me have to WORK and worry at my wedding. We were all able to have the most amazing time and I know I wouldn't have been in the right headspace to be able to enjoy it as much if I didn't have Amanda and her team executing every little detail that I had worked SO hard for. Call me crazy but I didn't want to work on my wedding day and you shouldn't either. They're incredible at what they do, I wish I had back up like that everyday! Good: Venue is beautiful (5 Stars) especially on a bright sunny day just as I mentioned in my prior review. There was ample room for a boardwalk for the fashion show and numerous tables for the raffle baskets. The new attractive white chairs with comfortable seat cushions were nice. Bad: The food served was not as good as in past under a different owner. Not even close. Salad and coffee were good. Served one flat bland roll with a dollop of sweet butter. No bread basket on table. The rolled chicken with a sweet bread and herb stuffing was terrible. It was over baked and dry. It was hard to cut, chew, and swallow. A small amount of gravy did not make a difference. Broccoli and sliced potatoes were okay, nothing special. Half of our table ate hardly any chicken. What a waste. The dessert was Strawberry Shortcake. The shortcake tasted salty. Service: Servers were pleasant, and we felt sorry for them only serving water and coffee after the salad service because it took the kitchen almost an hour to get the main dish "plated." We waited too long after the salad was served.
