Planning a wedding is stressful enough, but working with this caterer made the process significantly more difficult. Communication was one of the biggest issues. We often waited weeks for responses to simple questions, making it incredibly frustrating to plan such an important event. We were initially quoted one price, but as the wedding approached, our final invoice increased by thousands of dollars due to service fees that were never clearly disclosed during the planning process. When we questioned these charges, we were told the additional service fee was necessary to ensure that everyone's food would be served promptly and at the proper temperature. They told us if we did not pay the fee, then we not have good service at the wedding. Ironically, I was the bride, served first, and my own meal was served cold. If the additional fee was truly intended to guarantee hot, timely service, it clearly did not accomplish that. I can only wonder what the experience was like for many of our guests. To make matters worse, vendor meals for their own staff were never included on our invoice before the wedding, so I figured they were included in the outrageous service fee increase, but that was not the case. After the wedding, we were unexpectedly billed an additional amount for their team's meals, which came as a complete surprise. The lack of communication, hidden costs, and poor execution left us incredibly disappointed. A wedding is one of the biggest days of your life, and you should be able to trust your vendors to be transparent, responsive, and professional. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I would strongly recommend working with another caterer. There are plenty of vendors who communicate honestly, provide transparent pricing, and deliver the level of service you expect for such an important occasion. We deeply regret choosing this one.

The "powder room" is spacious, well-stocked (like anything you could need was there!), and could be used by folks of all genders. There are so many spaces to it! You could definitely have a flow that works for whatever you're looking to do. The columns in the ballroom are a little off-putting, though, in that it can be hard for guests to see the dance floor and kind of puts you in your place as far as your relation to the couple. This was a winter wedding, but we were surprised that the wedding could have been anywhere in terms of awareness that we were on a lake. I would have thought some more lighting or an outdoor area (though I did see from pictures on here that there is a fire pit in area?). Staff were attentive, but definitely a little pushy at the end. I work catering and you don't pick up chairs or clear linens until everyone has (or most people have) left, but they were already starting to break down at 9:30 on the dot and it made us a little uncomfortable as we were trying to finish up conversations. Plenty of parking and it sounded like the bride and groom suites were well-appointed. At only 25 minutes from downtown Albany, your guests have plenty of options for where to stay!

Many of the other older buildings I have visited show their age, but this space is very well maintained. Highly recommend for any event!

The owner was responsive, totally on mark with the size of the fountain we needed (on his suggestion), the price was less than anticipated for something so fun. Ice water, coffee and Tea and apple juice all included with other optional drinks available at a small additional charge. Most were $1 or 2. The Food and atmosphere were both excellent. The Dining room, buffet area, and the coffee and drink sections were very clean and tidy throughout our visit. I didn't take enough pictures but there was 3 lines of tables of different salads, sides, noodles, hard boiled eggs, hot items, fried items, desserts, etc. We sat on the deck, overlooking the grounds and the breeze was nice and weather was perfect.
