Theresa contacted me straight away after requesting our quote, dropped by to draw up the quote the next day and managed to match the gutters to the existing colour. When I had a question about the colour match, samples were sent in the post the next day and she was spot on when we made the comparison. I got estimates from three companies. The first was from a national clog-free style gutter company. They quoted me over $3,400 but brought the price down if I jumped through a list of hoops, i.e. call two references, agree to be a reference, leave their sign on my yard for a week, sign a contract immediately, etc. The reduced price was still over $2,400. I still don't like the price and don't appreciate the unnecessary hoops. They could not tie into my existing gutters since it was a completely different system. The second quote was from a big box retailer. They quoted me over $1,400. The price is better but also wouldn't tie into my existing gutters even though it was the same system. They also wanted to put additional downspouts right beside existing ones. Then comes Rain Mizer...I found them here on Yelp. I wrote them an message through their website and immediately received an automated response in the tune of, "We have way too much work right now and will not respond to your request." I called Rodney directly and a week later Theresa was able to come out for an estimate. The price was much lower than previous quotes. It was a straight forward, no additional charges, no hoops to jump through, and they can tie into my existing gutters. In addition, they upgraded my downspouts so they handle more water. The gutters are seamless and look like they've always been there. The only exception is that they are clean and brighter compared by my existing gutters. You can't really tell unless you look at the tie-in points. I highly recommend Rain Mizer and I've already referred a neighbor and a co-worker to them. read more

I did have a little difficulty trying to schedule and get a hold of a live person but in the end it all worked out. Also, when they removed the old gutters, they leave it for you to dispose of and the pieces are not small enough to put in your trash bin so that was a little bit of an inconvenience. I have to arrange to put it out on heavy trash pick up. Also some loose nails were found on my yard when they removed my old gutters. I'm just glad my dog didn't get a hold of it. I think they only have 2 main people who schedule appointments and respond to emails. Theresa was the person who came to my house and provided the quote and she was very detailed and did not pressure me into making an immediate decision. I decided on the gutters with screens for my 1840 Sq ft home and it's been a month now. They also offer warranty on the materials and maybe labor. I can't recall exactly. With my house being 26 yrs old, I had some wood rot that had to be replaced which we couldn't determine til old gutters were removed. Theresa was able to find a contractor to replace the wood rot immediately but the workers measured incorrectly and I had to pay a little more out of pocket due to that. read more

We added gutters to the back and side of our newly constructed home. From start to finish Rain Mizer made the process a pleasure, not a chore. Theresa is upfront, prompt, always answered all of my questions thoroughly and never left worried about anything. I received a few quotes before starting the job. Rain Mizer is the only company I felt I could trust which was very important to me. Most companies offer a 1 year warranty on their work, Rain Mizer stands behind their work for 15 years. I spoke with another company that offered a similar warranty, but I had to ask myself... how long would that company be around and what would my experience be like should I need them. I have no doubt Theresa will be just as easy to work with if that day ever comes. The work was completed within a week of agreeing to their quote. The install was done in a couple of hours, and it all looks great. I was lucky enough to have rain the next day to see how well the new gutters worked.... I was thrilled (its a long story, but my yard was being destroyed by rain pouring off my roof). I noticed a small issue, got in contact with Theresa and she had her guys right back out to fix my little issue. I have to say, I give 5's on Yelp when they are deserved and earned. If I could, I'd give Rain Mizer a 6. I've had to deal with many different contractor-type companies in the last year, and Rain Mizer is a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend at least giving them a call if you are shopping for gutters. I'm glad I did. Cautionary side note: for those having any work done (be it gutters with RM or any other company) always do a perimeter check after the work is complete. I found a few screws and a couple of metal gutter trimmings that are extremely sharp. With a 1 year old that loves to explore and pick up everything... Theresa was prompt, professional, and prepared: when we met her the first time, she brought samples of their products and left us with brochures that described the various gutter guard options. She produced an estimate quickly--which included a diagram of the roof areas we discussed. The installers were quick and careful. They confirmed with us where we wanted a couple of downspouts to be placed before they installed them. The resulting work seems great. It is too soon to tell if the diamondback gutter guards do what they are supposed to do, but the gutters look terrific and appear to be properly sloped. read more

Theresa was prompt in replying to my initial quote request and coming out to survey my home, bu that's where it stops. I didn't have the same experience that other commenters did. Which is a shame because I was happy to possibly work with a company that appeared to value customer service. When she showed up my husband was on a last minute call and couldn't walk around the property with her but he was told that we'd get a quote that day. When I had time that same day, I called her to touchbase and give feedback on the specific spots we were looking to install. I was not impressed by the responses on the call or that putting a gutter over the trim in the middle of a large window was the only option. However it ended with a promise to have a quote by the end of the day. No quote. Three days later... no quote. It's been almost 2 weeks, still no quote. This entire time the other gutter company Jeff at No Mess Gutters & Roofing had been texting me updates regularly, giving me options on other maintenance we had casually gone over, and just generally was interested in my business. Rain Mizer is the epitome of a well run 21st century business.. In this day and age I come to expect seamless communication via e-mail, text message or phone calls when dealing with home repairs or improvements and Rain Mizer delivers on all accounts.. My process started with getting a quote and being around labor day weekend I thought best case scenario would be sometime the following week, but not with Rain Mizer.. Theresa went out of her way and came out ON LABOR DAY!! Talk about bending over backwards for a potential customer.. Theresa was super knowledgeable of not only the product, but of the installation process as well, which is a rare occurrence and quite impressive. Follow up was easily done over e-mail and Theresa bent over backwards again to squeeze my install in on Thursday, yeah only three days from the initial quote I was given on LABOR DAY!! The day of the install came and even with other contractors onsite working on other projects for me Rain Mizer didn't miss a beat and were finished in about 4 hours, just like Theresa said they would.. Even without being home for the install Rain Mizer kept me updated via voice mails and e-mails, amazing!! Payment was easily handled over the phone so the job could be finished just in case I wasn't able to be there. After the job was complete the gutters matched the previous ones so well, that my wife couldn't even tell if a side of the house even had any on at all.. It's rare that companies go this much out of their way for a customer and provide this level of quality and price.. Rain Mizer has gutters down to a fine science, they were able to offer a better price and warranty than my general contractor who was going to take much longer with the install.. I HIGHLY recommend Rain Mizer for ANY gutter needs, big or small you'll be hard pressed to find better service (in any industry for that matter), price and quality from anyone else.. I had a great experience with Rain Mizer. Theresa, the owner, was very prompt when she came out to give me an estimate. She walked the property, went back into her car and drew me out a map of our home and where she would recommend 5" gutters (most of our home) and where she would recommend a 6" gutter (one length of our home). She also stated where she would recommend our 3/4 downspouts to be, but then asked for my opinion and what would work best for our family. She had a wide variety of swatches for gutter colors on hand and she stated that they only use Senox products (apparently the best to use in the gutter world...the things you learn!). I took bids from 2 other companies and in the end, Rain Mizer, by FAR was the best bid we received and I really liked the vibe I got from Theresa, so we decided to move forward with her company. On the day of our install (just yesterday, actually), the crew was timely, they were cutting the gutters straight out of their van...so that they were the exact length needed for each portion of our house. It took them about 1.5 - 2 hours for the whole job (we have a fair amount of area that needed gutters...well, the whole, 2-story home, in fact...why homes in Houston, TX are required to have gutters put on them at their build date is beyond me)! Theresa followed up with me after the install to see how I felt about the look and how the crew did. We have been having quite a bit of updating done to our home recently and I have talked to a lot of contractors in the process. We recently had Rain Mizer install gutters on the back of our house and we could not be more satisfied. The gutters withstood the test of Hurricane Harvey with no spill over. Rain Mizer's customer service was excellent. Theresa was very personable during the estimate and appointment scheduling.
