Just got done digging up the dead tree Yosi and RainforestLA plated for us so thought I would finally sit down to write this long overdue review. 1) After we contracted with the team it took them 5 months to start the project. Contracted March 21st 2021, work began August. 2) When they finally started the work Yosi went on vacation and wasn't present for most of the work. 3) Gave the team specific instructions to follow our property line when laying DG. Team failed to follow property line and diverted multiple feet. Had to argue with Yosi to get them to adjust the work which they eventually did. 4) We wanted specific species of tree and plants for our yard design, however Yosi only allows you to use his ONE vendor, which didn't have the varieties we wanted. Despite our disappointment, we went ahead and chose a tree and plants from the selection offered by his vendor. His team then BROKE THE TREE IN HALF when moving it in position. We asked for a replacement however it was the last tree of that variety. Of course it was the only type we liked from the selection, but again we took the disappointment and selected a different species of tree. Unfortunately the second tree wasn't plated correctly and it blew over in a storm and died. We paid another landscaper $400 try to save it by replanting it however the roots were compromised. 5) We selected succulents for the yard which should be pretty tolerant to heat, however several plants died because they did not lay the drip line close enough to the plants. I mentioned this to him, however he suggested it was in the right place despite the plants dying. When we asked him to replace the plants (APRIL 4th 2022) he sent a guy over (AUGUST 19th 2022) with cheaper plants despite our having provided the correct species needing replacement MULTIPLE TIMES. He then informed us he could not find the varieties which had dies any longer. 6) We left the placement of the plants to him. He clustered larger varieties so near to one another they are not touching. Of course they may just be growing faster than others because the drip line is so out of whack. Save yourself the headache and the disappointment. read more

Our HOA has hired Yosi and RainForestLA on two separate occassions. First Yosi installed a beautiful kayu fence on the rooftop of our building in October 2020. The residents love it. We hired him a few months later to redesign the landscaping for the entire building and repour our cement walkway. On both occassions, Yosi was on time and extremely responsive to texts and email. He also was easy to work with and took our design suggestions and made improvements. I would easily hire him again. read more

RainforestLA - Masonry/Concrete Near Me

It's been nearly two years since my wife and I have wanted to replace our backyard grass lawn and decomposed granite front yard. The pandemic hits and since we were spending our days with work from home, it was the perfect time to bid the job, we interviewed 3 or 4 companies which none felt knowledgable or reasonable enough to hire. Enter Yosif and RainForestLA, he arrived ON TIME showed us the quality of American grasses to choose from and not the cheap foreign stuff which none of the others explained. We had to wait a while because Yosif is in high demand, another good sign. Well, we finally started and by then I was traveling and had my family answer any questions that came up after the initial evaluation. His crews showed up early everday, worked with precision and cleaned up at the end of each day, total pros! Our yards with cement pavers turned out amazing, and he even replaced a broken tile on our front steps because he cared that much to have everything look great. We won't hesitate to recommend him and re-hire RainForestLA for future jobs. BTW, my trust is hard earned and Yosif exceeded it! Thank you for your artistry and professionalism! read more

My wife and I are film industry designers and planned a hardscaping project up the hill in the back. Once our dreams got bigger than our biceps we called Yosi who worked closely with us throughout the process. He showed up every day, helped us with budget conscious decisions, and even saved our white sage bushes which were a centerpiece of the project but in the way the whole time. He always picks up the phone, and always considers the minute details. Highly recommended. read more

Rainforest LA assisted on a rooftop garden project. The design called for a fencing around the perimeter to hide the unpleasantries of the roof including AC units. The final product is simply amazing! I'll work with custom and completed on site. The workers were friendly and diligent. The final product came out beautifully. They definitely exceeded my expectations. I would definitely work with them again and I would definitely recommend! read more

RainForestLa Inc. is an amazing company that does beautiful work and has top of the line service. Yosef Rozen and the entire crew, Ricardo, both Albertos, Pedro and Alvin have done an amazing job. They were all very hardworking, prompt and professional even while in the intense heat. They installed one beautiful redwood double gate for my driveway that has wood framing treated with water sealer and a secure iron frame on the back. The gate is not only sturdy but lovely to look at and boosts the overall aesthetic of my property. They also installed a small pet guard along the bottom of my iron railing so small animals and dogs would stop squeezing through. Lastly they cut my iron railing from the corner and further extended it out to my property line. I would recommend this company to anyone, for all their hard work, dedication and professionalism. Thank you RainForestLA Inc. read more

Yosi was a pleasure to work with. From the moment my wife and I met him we felt at ease and felt we could trust him completely. Yosi was extremely fast and always delivered what he promised on time, if not earlier. We completed our first phase of the front and back garden within 2 weeks from the moment we met him. This included Idea/vision, planning, and execution. We were happy to have our garden and patio ready for our winter visitors and friends. He also worked with our sprinkler guy to ensure the design and irrigation worked smoothly. He has been following up with us to ensure all the plants we got are growing and functioning as expected. He gladly incorporated some of my ideas, and enhanced them to ensure that they were realistic and long lasting. He also gave us great references to perform other small tasks around the garden and home. We are looking forward to completing our next phase with him in very soon! read more

Did a great job of listening to what we were looking for and also left the yard very clean after the project was finished. We are really happy with our new wall and the removal of the old wall. We will definitely use them again for any future projects. read more

Yosi was professional and prompt. He gave me a fair estimate for the job and the work was done well and on time. I recommend him.

Rainforest LA executed our entire yard remodel: back, front, side. They did complete demo, custom planting boxes, pathways, new planting, and irrigation installation. We are extremely happy; they finished on budget and ahead of schedule. I highly recommend them. I had 3 landscape companies quote out my project: one top-of-the-line design group and two more 'regular' contractors, of which Rainforest LA was one. Yosi of Rainforest LA was the most prompt, with a proposal the very same day, the most reasonably priced, and overall had the greatest air of ease to work with (quick to understand what was needed, provide options, make it happen, end up on budget and on time) . After signing, the project was estimated to take 2 weeks, but in fact it was completed 100% on budget and per the specifications in a week and a half. The team was there promptly at 7:30 every day and worked hard, non-stop the entire time they were on site. Yosi came to coordinate with us and supervise the team / assess the progress every single day. The materials that he chooses (e.g., outdoor lighting, irrigation, wood) are high-end; he does not cut corners here. The plants and organic material (e.g., mulch) that he uses are strictly organic, which I also appreciate. When we ran low of some existing gravel we were reusing in the new design, he threw in some material for free to complete the look. He even came to visit a week after the work was completed to make sure everything was still as it should be and that we were happy. This is a company and person I highly recommend. They are pros, fast, experienced, reliable, and priced fairly. Full context: we were pretty decided on what needed to happen where and thus used the company mostly as an executor, not too much as a designer. I know this is a capability they have as well, and clearly they have a LOT of experience in all things from hardscape and construction to custom design and planting, but our project was predominantly executing. read more

Our experience with Rainforest LA was very positive and we would definitely recommend them to our neighbor and friends! Yosi and his team, including lead Alberto, were wonderful to work with! Yosi was timely and responsive in meeting with us, providing estimates, and offering solutions to unexpected issues. He was on-site every morning, making sure things were on schedule. The team's attention to detail was admirable! No short cuts, or "good enough's" for them! They were thoughtful in the way that they laid the drainage pipes, leveled the area, poured the concrete, planted the plants, and placed the lighting. We are so happy with the way our backyard turned out! read more

After considering several landscape contractors, I am so glad that we chose to go with RainforestLA to relandscape the home we bought. Yosi and his crew are great to work with. Working with our budget in mind, Yosi guided us to choose the right plants and hardscape to get the look we wanted, and he incorporated many of my favorite plants in the landscape design. They created a water feature for our pool, installed new irrigation systems, installed new lawns, designed new planting beds, planted a bamboo perimeter and numerous plants and trees, and built brick columns for our perimeter fence and gates. The crew worked hard, cleaned up after themselves and were professional and pleasant to work with. They also were on time daily and completed the work on time. I will refer them to everyone I know. read more
