Originally, I thought patching the inside of the basement would suffice. I found Complete Paving & Masonry on Yelp, and reached out; Jerry responded very quickly and was able to come by to provide a visual inspection and a quote. He recommended that work needs to be done on the outside in order to fix the inside. We took a walk around the outside and he provided points of what work needed to be done. Essentially, he recommended to dig up the dirt around the foundation; patch and seal the foundation; put in some gravel and then cover it up with dirt. This would help prevent water from leaking through the foundation into the basement/garage. After conversing with my fellow condo neighbor, we hired Jerry's team to do the work. Within a week, they were able to come on site and start the work. It took them 4 days to do the work (original quote was 3-5 days). Jerry and his team did a magnificent job. They went above and beyond the original estimate's work at no extra charge to improve the water flow surrounding the condo. They also did some additional patch work on the outside of the condo. When the job was completed, Jerry walked me through everything his team did and why it was done, so I was able to understand the reason for the work. Jerry is friendly, honest, and provides top notch service. I highly recommend his team for any mason work.

Please do not hire this company. They start at a reasonable price then find all kinds of things…read morewrong and the price keep going up and up. They pressure you to sign a contract for the work and the work is subpar. It does not meet code or professional workmanship. They sat in my house for couple of hours until i signed despite the fact that i told them i had to check with my attorney and would let them know in the morning. They refused to leave. I should have called the police right then and there. I did contact the police later that week when i saw the results of the job. I also checked with city hall to see if they had pulled a permit as I was told by them that they had the inspector coming next week. This was after they finished the job and wanted payment. Lo and behold city hall said no permit was pulled and no inspection was ordered. Their names are Freddie and Matthew. The work was done by 2 gentlemen who do not speak English. I will be taking legal action on this matter to recoup what i paid since I have to have all the work completely redone and it has comprised the integrity of our 4 season room. I also just recently lost my husband and they preyed on that. Unfortunately, i was scammed. I repeat, do not use them.

Life happens & I obviously slipped thru the cracks when your assistant tried 2 reach customers. It's not your fault cuz stuff like that is bound 2 happen. It ended up being me. Michael and his crew did an amazing job. I had two very old paving patios and a few old retaining…read morewalls. I shared with him what I thought was possible and Michael and team filled in the details. They ended up giving me a whole new backyard. Michael met us at the stone gallery and was patient with us while we discussed options and tweaked the proposal. He worked with us and was onsite every day. They worked very fast. They did all of the following in 3 weeks and 2 days - took down a huge rock wall 4ft x 80ft, removed 6ft ft of earth behind that, added several inches of rock and paving substrate to remove the need for a step on 2 doors, put up a new huge retaining wall, and replaced 3 small ones with steps. They did all this on a hilly property. The grass was damaged in spots and they brought in new soil and flattened it out and seeded it. They are not cheap but provided a good value and likely a better product than other quotes. One example is using some of the extra retaining wall blocks to stabilize the paver patio stays in place on both sides. Every weekend they cleaned the street and made sure to not block traffic everyday. I have more projects for Michael and team and look forward to further improving my property. I'll add more photos when all the grass comes back and I get better patio furniture.

Candido and his colleague recently established proper drainage around a corner of the house where…read morewater was getting into the foundation and the basement. In his initial assessment, Candido identified all areas which were contributing to the problem and explained what he would do and why (every contractor should do this but it doesn't always happen). He also identified an area contributing to ingress of water to the house that two other contractors missed. His estimate was extremely fair (one contractor quoted a total of $24k for the same solutions). The work was started within days of agreement on the scope of work and it was completed within 1.5 days. Work included excavating and installation of a dry well, regrading and relaying a stone path, and partial repaving of the driveway. He and his colleague even cleared a gutter and replaced and repitched some existing drainage on the side of the house. No trash or mess was left behind after the work was done. It's been a few weeks since the installation and repairs and am relieved to see no water coming into the basement even after several downpours and no damp basement walls. I'm happy we went with Candido and would gladly work with him again on another project.
