Will try to give my honest feedback from my experience with Rahel. I got the entire package from dress, makeup, and photography. I will say I had a great experience with hair/makeup and dress but photography was such a horrible experience. We saw sample pictures beforehand and decided to go with Rahel but the pictures we actually got were no where near what we were given. I will preface and say that we were pre-warned that we were double booked that day and were not going to get the main photographer,however, I am not just upset at the quality of photos but just the lack of professionalism that followed. We ended up taking studio photos that day with the main photographer which actually were edited and came out nice, however, the pictures taken at the venue were terrible with the other photographers. Many of the pictures looked like we were inside a club due to horrible flash. Many pictures we were washed out with flash directly in our faces. Not just that but barely none were edited. We just got a photo dump of nearly 7 gbs of just raw pictures. We hired photography to get professional pictures but we just ended up with a photo dump of just raw photos and terrible ones at that. The worst part is I tried emailing the group about my concerns 3 times with NO response and am just amazed at their unprofessionalism with their clients. I guess once they have your money they just have no regard for you. If at least there was some dialogue about the situation I don't think I would have been as upset but the fact that before the wedding they were very responsive to the silence that followed afterwards is just what is very upsetting. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Rahel! I did my engagement photo shoot here - both in their indoors studio and outdoors in Brooklyn. It was such a convenient one-stop shop - they have dress/tux for rent, hair&makeup artists on site, as well as a photographer. For the engagement shoot, we got the whole package here and are very pleased with how the photos turned out. I got the wedding package from Rahel wedding group through a friend's referral. I trusted her recommendation because I saw how beautiful her wedding. And sure enough, their staffs are very experienced and professional. Their wedding dresses are so beautiful. My experience with designer Mrs. Lee was even more perfect! All the dresses are her own design and absolutely gorgeous so really hard to decide. She was very helpful to pick my perfect dress. The wedding photographer, Mr.Kim was extremely kind and humorous. He was very patient and paid attention to the details. We are very pleased with the quality of his work. And their makeup and hair artist did really great job. With each dress (3 different dresses) changes, they made some changes on my hair& makeup in a few minutes to make me look and feel new and unconventional all the time. We hired Rahel Wedding group for literally everything. We found out about Rahel from a friend who was a wedding dress model. She was highly recommending Rahel, and we decided to give it a try. On our first visit, I picked at all the dresses hanged at the reception area and signed a contract on the next visit. We rented 2 tuxedos and 4 dresses including 2 for the engagement photo shoot, 1 for ceremony, and 1 for the reception. I tried on many many dresses at other famous dress salons in NYC, and liked Myungeun's dresses the best. Dresses I rented had various different styles, ball gown, a line, and mermaid. All of them were beautiful and unique. I was always concerned about my fat arms, and Myungeun has accommodated all my needs and wants on the dress by adding laces, off shoulder arm covers? and by resizing to best flatter my body. Also, the prices were very reasonable. We initially thought about buying dresses, but my friends who were married earlier than I did advise me that buying a dress is unnecessary as it gets very costly if you want to wear more than one dress and also frustrating to tailor it, not to mention dealing with it after the wedding. We also had Eugene, Rahel's main photographer, for our engagement, ceremony and reception photo shoot and we have no regrets. We were very satisfied with both the process and the results. He was on the ground and on top of chairs at Brooklyn Dumbo trying to take the best possible photos and entertained me throughout the session as smiling is the key to a photo shoot and I am not very good at it. He accommodated all my wants and needs and I had a lot of requests haha.. Also, he can do the magic of photoshopping you the way you want it, skinnier, bigger, taller, shorter, just ask for it. I am sharing some of my photos because it seems like the photos on yelp for the Rahel Wedding Group are old photos which made me hesitant at first :) They aren't just a dressmaker and a photographer, they helped us through the photo shoots and wedding giving us guidance, tips on how to deal with planner/venue and many other situations, fixing makeup and hair during ceremony reception and photo shoot(Myungeun even helped my dad, brother and brother in law apply bb cream on as I was lucky enough to have her on site). I would not have survived through my wedding planning and the wedding day if it wasn't Rahel. I greatly appreciate your service and am happy to say that I am very satisfied. read more

I rented my wedding dress from Rahel Wedding Group and couldn't have been happier! I've tried on about 20 dresses before deciding on the one but I loved the dress I rented ever since I laid my eyes on it from the beginning. The dresses from Rahel Wedding Group are high quality and the designs are unique. The designer/ owner is also very accommodating and made special alteration for me at my request. We first hired Rahel wedding group to do our engagement photos after I saw his work on my friend's wedding. Rahel Wedding Group is very well known and famous in Korea, but I didn't know they opened a branch in New York. I had engagement makeup, hair done, and even wedding gown here. Eunice was the makeup artist and hair stylist and she was very sweet and professional. The makeup and hair was exactly the way I wanted. Makeup is more natural but beautiful enough for photos. Their wedding dresses are designed by Designer MyungEun Lee (very well known wedding dress designer in Korea). Dresses were so so so gorgeous and I had hard time to pick one. However, she recommend which dress would suit on me and I loved it!! Photographer Eugene's work is awesome. He's an excellent photographer. Hiring Rahel Wedding group was hands down the BEST wedding vendor decision that we made. Especially, my fiancé is not the most photogenic person, but photographer Eugene (also owner of the Rahel wedding group) was incredibly detail and patient as he directed us into the most flattering poses for our photos. He explained us every detail so that photos were the best possible. We were thrilled with our engagement shots and multiple brides-to-be friends asked for Rahel's contact information. We, of course, hired Rahel Wedding group for our wedding. Eugene and his assistant were so calm and cheerful on our engagement shoot. He knew exactly what he was looking for and set up each shot with ease taking into account the lighting and background. He was very easy going, funny and great to work with. I don't have enough words to thank Eugene for how perfectly he captured us and how much time he must have put into editing the hundreds of our photos he sent to us. Pro: * Dress was pretty and made of high quality beads. Mrs. Rahel designs her dresses in a way that would flatter an Asian women's body. * Pictures were adequately taken. * Our reception ran long, but they stayed until the end. Def. more than the hours written on the contract. * Mrs. Rahel and the photographer (her husband) were both pretty attentive during the wedding day. Con: * Biggest surprise for us. They put a mandatory 15% tip to our final total, which was pretty significant. We paid $960 just on tip. They didn't mention the 15% tip until we signed the contract towards the end and of course, they wanted this in CASH. * Tux rental: Unlike typical American tux rental places, their rental does not include shirts, shoes, ties, or vest. Their reasoning was that their tuxes are made with high quality materials instead. * Hair and makeup: I should have done my own hair. I was not happy with it at all, and this is even with a hair and makeup trial. Worst thing was that they double booked us so our makeup artists had to hurry our team (bride, bridesmaid, and two moms) in order to work on the other party. Felt very rushed towards the end. * We had to constantly text the two owners to get our pictures. It took over six months to finally get our pictures. * Even though we paid more money to get minor things photoshopped, they did not seem like they were touched up at all. All they did was brighten the background and make me look white, which defeats the whole purpose of working on my tan for the past two months before my wedding date. * Video: The contact specifically says that we would be getting a Blu-ray DVD, but we never got a physical DVD. They instead send the video thru Vimeo. I've mentioned it to them two times but gave up because I didn't want to sound like I was harassing them with both DVD and pictures towards the end. Based on the pictures on yelp, it seems like they are good with taking pre-wedding photos (staged photos). They aren't too good with actual wedding day pictures (candid shots). Overall, we were satisfied with the pictures and the wedding dress, but if I had to do it over, I would not go with them. read more

I just found my dress here! All the dresses are designed by the photographer's wife! They are really popular in Seoul, but they are new here. The dresses are all so beautiful and very good quality. They can custom order it to be ready for you in 2 months or alter the one you try. Alterations are under $300. From what I saw, the dress prices range between around $1500-4000 (average dresses bought in the US are $2000). They also have handmade veils and accessories. read more

I also got my hair, makeup and photos done here as well and it was super convenient and the package deal was great. So much less hassle and they are super accommodating here to the bride and groom. I feel so lucky that I met the photographer at the wedding convention. After talking to him, I had full confidence with that they would do a fantastic job and they did everything beyond my expectations! I booked a package of wedding dress+ tux, hair +makeup and photography (2shooters). It took a whole chunk of stress off of having to book different vendors. Also they were all amazing! The wedding dress designer went out of her way to make a perfect dress that fitted my body perfectly. She took the time to listen executed my every requests. During the wedding day, the makeup artists showed up on time with an assistant, and did her magic. I also showed her my inspiration images and she just gets it! She was also extremely nice and made me feel comfortable while I was undergoing stress with another vendor. The photographers were like ninjas, so quick and efficient. They didn't think twice about getting down on the ground to take the shots they need. They also managed the crowd and the guests really well, gave them clear directions, and were also funny. I visited Rahel to rent a wedding dress for a photoshoot in New York and instantly fell in love with all of the dresses. I was also very touched by how the designer (and the owner of the shop) tailored to all of our needs and provided tips and tricks for a successful photoshoot. I had my prom makeup and hair done here and it was beautiful. Eunice was the makeup artist and hair stylist and she is an extremely sweet and nice lady. She was very professional and I showed her photos of what I wanted and she did the hair exactly the way I wanted but the makeup was more natural looking than the pictures I showed. It was $150 including tip and it was very reasonably priced. They have a promotion where the more friends you bring the less it costs per person. I didn't want to goto two different places for hair and makeup but Eunice did everything. It was hot that day and my hair stayed in place and so did my makeup. The makeup studio is very clean and spacious I felt so welcomed and relaxed. Overall, i had a great experience and she got everything done in an hour and a half. read more

Customer service is very good and reasonable price for total package :dress&tuxedo rental+photography+hair&makeup.
