Of all of the thrift stores along N Milwaukee in Wicker Park, this is by far the best one. At least if you or your teen love thrifting, as mine certainly does. Most of it isn't exactly my style, but my teen loved the store and I enjoyed buying things she disapproved of me wearing. The prices are great, the selection huge, and it's very organized. Many times, thrift shops have a yard sale vibe to them, but Ragstock feels like a regular retail store. There's a mix of vintage and new merch. Make sure you check out both floors as there's different categories of clothing between them both. For example, all of the vintage flannels are downstairs, along with sweaters and jackets. Definitely a thrift store worth checking out. read more

I am writing this review to express deep disappointment of what I feel is religious mockery occurring in a Ragstock store located in Bucktown, Chicago. On February 24, 2025 I went into the changing room and saw a sign that said if we knock please respond loudly and clearly with a cartoon picture of Jesus saying oops! I have a picture of this picture on my phone and am more than happy to send it over upon request. It is quite offensive to my sensibilities and saddens me deeply to see the image of a religious figure at the core of my identity used so flippantly. As a Christian, I felt compelled to reach out to corporate and request that this picture be removed immediately, and employees trained on religious and cultural sensitivity. This is a cool vintage clothing shop. Some finds are great and some not so. The prices are perfect. They have all kinds of style -shirts, skirts, headbands, pants and more. Downstairs is clearance and sale items -which are good finds too. I did find a cute sweater on the 1st floor and it was also 20% off so that was nice. Even if my trendy sweater (with smiles) last one year, that will be worth it. Their new and used clothing is definitely at an affordable price point. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Racially profiled for theft by 3 undercover employee security guards or whatever their job title is. Im sure of this as I heard them greeting eachother in passing Lol I have been a regular of Ragstock for at least 15 years. I grew up going to the Belmont location off the redline but the wicker park location needs serious mannerisms on how customer service works and how to not make it so obvious you are: 1.) Following someone around the store cornering them, while staring at their every move and pick of clothing. 2.) and Not racially profile people. The only person who seems to be the only conscious and kind person is the guy who normally works the front end register area, has long hair with mustache usually helping people with fitting rooms. Going to take a break from shopping here since this experience was sour. No I did not end up purchasing anything as most of the "vintage" is priced over $35 with stains that require dry cleaning plus the utter thought of being harassed for the entire hour I was trying to browse through the store left a bad taste. Sorry going to take my money elsewhere for the time being. read more

Back when I lived down the street, I would shop here pretty regularly. Every time my sister visited me, we had to make a trip. We would always find cool clothing and accessories no matter what we were looking for. It was a great place to shop for Halloween, new year celebrations, music festival attire, you name it. While I don't live down the street anymore, my sister, friend, and I visited while on a girls trip to Chicago recently and it was just as I remembered it. I found a giant pair of earrings that I just had to have, and two crop tops that were crazy comfortable. I still wear a few items that I got here years ago and I'm sure next time I'm in town I'll be swinging by. Pro tip - the downstairs is filled with fun costume items, while the top floor is more accessories and regular clothing. They do have a menswear section and a few small fitting rooms. Tons of sunglasses and hats, onesies and leggings, ugly sweaters for xmas and costumes for Halloween. I found $1 hats on clearance in the basement and $2 sunglasses upstairs. Great men shirt collection with design full of sushi, donuts and dogs to name a few. If I ever come back to Chicago, Ragstock will be one of my first stops. I absolutely fell in love with this store, their amazing selection, and their even better prices! Ragstock is a mix of brand new, vintage, and recycled fashion, all trendy, in fabulous condition, and fairly priced. This location is smack in the middle of Milwaukee Ave in Wicker Park with plenty of other boutique and vintage competitors nearby, but in my opinion, Ragstock is the clear winner among them all. Everything is neatly organized with plenty of space to roam around. This particular location is two levels, with the entire lower level containing a plethora of incredible sale items - dresses, rompers, shoes, accessories, etc. I've been on the hunt of a pair of denim shortalls, and I snagged a super cute pair for $17! I also got a trendy, brand new khaki cargo hooded jacket for $9 - I wore it for the rest of Chicago trip. I also visited the Belmont store, which was just as nice. RAGSTOCK NEEDS TO COME TO LA Was exploring the area and I'm so happy I decided to walk into this store. I know I would've bought wayyy more stuff if I had brought a larger suitcase. $20 denim jackets, $10 flannels, vintage T's galore! I also noticed they have a ton of American Apparel-like basics there too. The two-floor store is filled with a variety of trendy, vintage clothing, and accessories for every occasion. The staff was very friendly and nice however the clothing was in sad condition or of poor quality. Many of the items were made of polyester or other cheaper materials. Better quality items such as the leather jackets and denim were extremely expensive given their condition. Some of the jeans had crotch holes and many of the leather jackets looked poorly taken care of (ripped leather, soiled, water/weather damage, stiff/uncared for). In general their vintage clothing was beyond typical worn use and equal to soiled items you might find at a Goodwill (at least their prices reflect that!). On top of that a customer with their dog was in the store and the dog urinated on the floor. I left without purchasing anything. read more

I feel conflicted about Ragstock since they have evidently tried to split the difference between the costume section of Wal-Mart and a truly excellent vintage clothing store. A regrettable amount of the floor is dedicated to brand new costumes, new-with-tags cheap cat ear headbands, and cow-print Birkenstock knock-offs but the actual vintage clothing racks have a wonderful selection. In particular the vintage denim was the best collection of Levi's, Wrangler, Lee, etc. of any store I've seen in Chicago often at prices well-below what you'd pay on the internet. Considering the sheer size of this Ragstock location you end up with the equivalent of one pretty good vintage shop but you have to wonder what it would be like if Ragstock didn't feel the need to compete with Party City. read more

Wonderful place to find see through sexy tops, adorable velvet dresses, sexy short mini dresses for every season and beautiful vintage silk scarves. I try to find beautiful silk kimono dresses but unfortunately most of these beautiful fabrics are meant for preteens or a size zero. I love the blankets too and the fact that they always give you coupons for future visits so you can economize and get more for your money. You should definitely try out the bogo collection if you like these styles. I never bought an ugly Christmas sweater or a costume from here but if you're into it you can find those thing here too. On occasion I'd even find cute leopard print winter wear at a great value. Most of the staff here are pretty friendly and give you ample time to try anything on without rushing or pressuring you into buying. I went to Ragstock, among many thrift stores, one afternoon and this was one of my favorites for sure. They have different sections for different items, like one part of the room had TONS of Halloween outfits (because we went in October), the back section held old 80's sweaters that were only $14 each (I definitely bought a couple), flannels, graphic tees, and so many more unique vintage clothing. The downstairs area was clearance and had items similar to what you might find at a forever 21 or other cheap retail store, so I mostly stayed on the first floor. All in all, I bought two 80's vintage, oversized sweaters ($28!) and a oversized windbreaker ($20) that's super vintage and fashionable. I definitely want to go back and see what other amazing steals I can find! It's 100% worth a visit if you're down to go thrift shopping and don't mind dropping a few hours in one place. read more

Knocking a star because within a couple of months span, they've suddenly raised their prices on certain vintage t-shirts. These aren't special band t-shirts or anything either. The rack used to be about $10-$25, now I'm seeing $50 price tags for their oldest stock t-shirts. That's a big jump from what it used to be. read more

I was a little reluctant to come here because I'd gone to the one in Lakeview a few times and it was never great, but this one is 200% better. This store has that aspect of vintage, but not at crazy prices. No customer service skills at all and gave me attitude while i was in the middle of my check out transaction.. had i not already spent 30 plus minutes shopping around the store i would have just left right then and there!! This place is a hipster DREAM (not that I am one but I know enough of them to know that they'd love this place). Ragstock is a combination of used and new clothes, and it's fun, unique and quirky items really are awesome statement pieces. There was a whole section dedicated to denim jumpers and another to multicolored leggings. There was even a section of 90s jackets! The dresses were absolutely lovely and I would have bought many of them if I wasn't moving out soon (there were a surprising amount of Asia inspired shirts and Chinese and Japanese traditional dresses - though they were mislabeled as all being kimonos). The prices are fair and it's so much fun looking through the store! It's well organized and the pieces are so interesting you can easily get dragged into multiple personas of yourself (or maybe that's just me when I'm daydreaming). The only thing is that when I went, the credit card machine wasn't working so it was cash only so be aware of that (hopefully that will be fixed soon). read more

Absuoltely love their clothes, and I only get to go out to this store once a year since I don't have a car, and I get all the way home to Indiana yesterday and my FAVORITR JACKET I GOT, decided to not even be in my fucking bag. Mind you, I left the store, went straight to the car and put my bag in the truck. Didn't touch it till I got home. I'm absolutely FURIOUS about the service. They told me I can come in since they have no more of my size in stock, mind I DONT HAVE A CAR, And they should SEND me my money back.
