I LOVE my ragdoll that I got from Ragdoll Blues. HOWEVER, he was sold to me with a giant balding patch on his belly which turned out to be ringworm. He infected me, my boyfriend, and my other two kittens. He was ten months old and already overweight. I am not sure how the owner let this happen if she really cares for her cats. The bald patch was huge and immediately recognizable. It is just very sad and I would never purchase from Ragdoll Blues again. read more

Buyer BEWARE!!!!! 1 Star is 1000% TOO gracious!!!!!! Her cats are all diseased with ringworm, ear mites, & Impetigo - Both myself and two of my granddaughters contracted ringworm and Impetigo. The cattery itself is an absolute dump and smells so bad you can hardly stand trying to look at any of the kittens. You will be so sorry as the cost of the kitten is the least of your expenses. The vet bills and doctor bills for your infected family members are ultra expensive, not to mention the embarrassment. Got 2 kitties, both are great and playful! Kathy was very responsive and seemed to care a lot for her cats & kittens. Beware!!!! Both kittens from different litters were infested with ringworm. Spreading it through our family and home. We have been battling over a month to clear everything up both house and family. Both kittens seemed to be very skinny, but thicken up after a few weeks. Like I said the kittens are great with a few major flaws. I did request vet records for the injured kitten I adopted. In the notes it says the care giver took 4 weeks to bring kitten in to be looked at and by that time it was too late for repair. read more

We couldn't be happier with Kathy and Ragdoll Blues. Our two kittens were healthy and our vet commented that they had obviously been well cared for. It is clear that Kathy deeply loves her kitties. Kathy is very responsive (other breeders wouldn't even return our calls when we tried to buy from them!) and you can tell that she has a good heart. I'm very sorry to hear that a few other people have not been completely satisfied but I have no doubt that Kathy has made it right with those people. Do not a buy a cat from this lady. Deplorable conditions, sold me a cat with ring worm. I paid over $1,000 for this cat. I'll spend 100-$200 having him treated. Not to mention he won't pee in a liter box. Probably due to the fact that he was kept in such filthy conditions that he could just pee wherever he wanted too. Also, this isn't a registered cattery. My kitten had active ringworm and malnourished. Kathy Domeny offered a refund, but I turned her down since my children were already attached. Besides, at that point I considered him an expensive rescue. I didn't want our sweet boy to stay in her cattery. He is still having problems and requires frequent vet visits and treatment. His treatment and treatment for our family is now approaching 1K. read more

I was unable to purchase a kitten from this breeder due to circumstances beyond my control but I can say that her business practices are ethical and she had wonderful customer service skills. She refunded me the full amount that I had paid her even though she was in her right to refuse full reimbursement. We got our baby in April 2014 and she is healthy and beautiful. We got a female blue seal point. Our baby has been a wonderful addition to our family and came to us socialized. Her personality is awesome. I got updated photos during the process until she got to leave her mother and Kathy kept me educated every step of the way. Anytime I have a question, she responds promptly with a text or email. I still send question about her growing, about food, and medical needs. In the last 25 years, I have owned a handful of exotic cats purchased from various breeders around Texas, but I Want to share my experience with Kathy at Ragdoll Blues. I was in the process of researching ragdoll cats because I had never owned one before and began emailing with Kathy. Of course I was hooked when I saw the photos of her precious cats, but didn't feel like our family could afford the price tag for one of her sweet kittens. Through our correspondence, Kathy could tell that a cat would find a wonderful home with our family and she offered to introduce us to one of her newly - retired adult ragdoll females. We met Blossom and fell instantly in love with her. Kathy sold Blossom to us for a greatly reduced price, merely because she wanted her to go to a loving home! Blossom was 4 years old when we got her and is the best cat I have ever owned. Not only does she fit right in with our two small children and puppy, but she never has any accidents, never takes out claws, only scratches on her scratching post and loves to be in the middle of all the action. These are signs that this cat has been well loved and well socialized. We had concerns about a month after we brought our precious Blossom home because she was meowing frequently and seemed to be looking for other cats to snuggle with. She frequently tried to snuggle and groom our puppy, but needless to say, it did not have the desired effect for Blossom! I began emailing Kathy about this issue and she reminded me that ragdolls oftentimes need to a buddy to live with. My first thought was, "Oh great. I guess this is where she tries to sell me another cat!" I told Kathy that there was no way we could afford to purchase another cat, as much as we wanted to, but she offered to GIVE us Blossom's younger sister, Rose, who was a beautiful little three-year-old black and white rag doll that was being retired from breeding. We picked up Rose several weeks later and it was exactly what the doctor ordered! Kathy knew exactly what our first kitty needed and instead of making a considerable amount of money from someone else, she GAVE us this beautiful cat so that we would be satisfied with our experience and her beloved cat Blossom would be happy. I can't speak for the experiences that others have had with Kathy, but she is obviously not in this business for the money. I believe she would never knowingly sell a sick animal or refuse to take back a sick cat that she knew had been well cared for once it had gone home with its new owners. Kathy probably told me half a dozen times that if I was in ANY way dissatisfied with my either one of my cats, she would take them back in a heartbeat and refund my money in full for the one we paid for. I have never worked with a breeder who offered that! We now own two gorgeous ragdoll cats who are snuggly, friendly, well-adjusted and the source of a lot of joy for our family. I got two Ragdoll Kittens from Kathy and I couldn't be happier. I researched extensively and when I spoke with Kathy, I knew I would get my kittens from her. She is so full of knowledge and care for her Ragdolls. The entire process was very pleasant. I did not end up purchasing a kitten from Kathy, but I can say that her customer service was great. I actually did call the Texas licensing board and her vet, and both had positive things to say. I put Kathy through the ringer with question after question and she answered every one honestly and openly. About 18 months ago I began doing research on ragdolls, and I came across Kathy's website. I loved the kittens that were pictured, and I was impressed by Kathy's level of caring for her cats. We began corresponding, and she answered all my questions intelligently and with compassion. She advised me that since my husband and I both work outside the home we should get two rather than just one ragdoll. I told her what I was looking for and in a few months she had the kittens I wanted available. She told me that the male I selected had been the runt, and she wanted to make sure he was thriving before she let me take him home. Kathy kept me updated throughout the kittens' early weeks, and when they were weaned, she invited me to her house to meet them. At her house I found lots of healthy, friendly cats, and it was obvious how much Kathy cares about her broods. Our male, Kahn, and our female, Khaki, are healthy, loving pets. Everything Kathy told me to expect with ragdolls was right on the money! Kahn, the "runt," is now huge and towers over his little sister. We have not had one problem with our cats and would recommend Kathy and her cats to anyone. Our vet checked out our cats when we got them, and their health is perfect. I bought two Ragdolls from Kathy. Each months apart. I want to Gently say that cats are delicate animals. I found out the hard way. I had two kittens that died months apart. The first kitten I had died from STRESS. I believed she was just over sedated. But, that is another story. The second kitten died after her spay. She developed an infection. BOTH vets did not want to claim any responsibility. I decided I would get my dream breed, a ragdoll. I talked to many breeders in my area. I just could not click with any of them. I found Kathy on line and after talking to her a few minutes I knew I would purchase from her. My spirit trusted her immediately. She was always honest. I did not realize how much time and effort Kathy puts into socializing and caring for her kittens. I did not realize until I decided to purchase a Persian kitten from a local breeder. My second dream breed. It was literally night and day. The Persian breeder was so sweet and kind. I trusted her too. Until I met her to pick up the kitten. I knew something was wrong when I met her and she would not let me hold the kitten. The lady placed the kitten directly from her carrier into my carrier. She said it was too windy to take her out of her carrier. I should wait until I got home. I was so excited I did not argue. The kitten cried all the way home. Once home the kitten was just so scared. She hid and would cry when I would try to handle her. I emailed the breeder immediately and over the next couple of days. I was so concerned about the seclusion I didn't notice the sneezing and watery eyes until the 4th day. I took her to the vet to find the kitten had a virus contagious and not curable. The vet said I should expect her to have flare up's all her life. After spending a pretty penny on vet expenses I reported all this to the breeder. She basically said the vet was wrong, it was my spirit, and my home was not spiritual enough for her Persian kitten. It was all my spiritual fault. The breeder REFUSED to give me my money back. Her claim's of having well adjusted, healthy, and loving kittens were untrue. EVERYTHING she said was a lie. I felt I should get my money back. I even suggested her keeping the $200.00 deposit. I just wanted to give the kitten back. The breeder on the other hand wanted to just replace the kitten when one becomes available. Or give her another $400.00 for a all white Persian. When I declined I got a email from her partner. Oh was it nasty. I told them I was trying to resale the kitten and I disclosed all of the kitten information. Including the name of the breeder. I was threatened with law suit. That is when we decided to just keep this sick animal and take care of her the best we can for the rest of her life. Now, getting back to Kathy. She has given me sweet, socialized, healthy, loving, and beautiful kittens. When I met her she took the kittens out of the carrier and let me inspect them. There has been so much trust and honesty between "us" the buyers and Kathy that I brought back 2 baby Rag's to one lady in Woodlands and an adult Rag to a lady in Sugarland. ALL animals wanted to get out of the carriers. They all wanted to be pet and held. They all loved the attention. Unlike the Persian I got! Kathy has guided me in the care of these babies. She does not just sale a kitten and forget about you. Everything she promised she has come through. I will never, ever, never, ever again buy any other breed. I will only purchase from Kathy. I am so sorry to hear someone had a bad experience. I know Kathy has to be heart broken over loosing those kittens. I know she did everything to save them. As far as having lots of cats, she is a breeder. That is her job. Agree or disagree. That is what she does for a living. She has never denied having these animals. Unlike that Persian breeder. I found out she has Persians and Rottweilers all over her property. She never mentioned that. Kathy should not be out of business. She loves these animals. Her entire life is devoted to them. I have known Kathy for over two years. I adopted my beautiful Seal Lynx Mitted Ragdoll, Sebastian from her recently. She was extremely helpful. All the cats have the best living conditions and are all trained to use their litter boxes. Sebastian needed no training to use his litter box and scratching post. He is the sweetest, smartest and most beautiful cat I've ever owned. He has a great appetite and is extremely healthy too. I had visited many other Ragdoll cateries before purchasing Sebastian and found Kathy's catery to be the cleanest with the most humane living conditions for the kittens. I began looking to find a breeder that could provide a registered Ragdoll Kitten for my new companion in retirement. I found Kathy through her website and became very interested with her based on the looks of the available kittens. I made arrangements to visit and see the kittens with the idea of just getting one that was older. When I arrived the kitty didn't want to bond with me so I began to see the others and found 3 that wanted love and attention and played with them until they fell asleep together. One was a runt but still lovable, but concerns for her health were an issue so I chose the other 2. As I left I paid her a deposit on both and left with a smile and happiness of the anticipation of my new babies. She updated me the next week with pictures of my babies, it was shortly after that when things began to go wrong. I received an email stating that the female kitten had died of URI (Upper Respiratory Infection/Sniffles), it created concerns but I understood this happens sometimes with animals. I made arrangements to revisit to find a replacement for her. During the time before I could return Kathy had informed me that she was going to reduce the price on the runt and eventually she decided to just give her away without a guarantee. There was no hesitation in telling her I wanted her and ll was agreed upon. I returned to find a new girl but still with some concerns, so found questions via my vet, When I returned as I approached the front door to her home there was a strong odor of ammonia and litter. I was taken inside where she had all the kittens on a bed in her room and she now had 3 new litters less than 10 days old, she also informed me that my kittens had developed the URI and she was treating them and 4 others. I bonded with my male (Leo) and runt (Snickerdoodle) again. I found another female that bonded nicely and since she still had my deposit there was nothing more to do but show her the one (Snowflake). I left to return home to the Austin area (3 hours away). Three days later I received and email that Leo had died, Now I decided to not do business with her because the first two kittens had died and at the time I chose them there was no indication of illness. I still wanted the runt with no obligations at all from her. She said she would still give her to me but would never agree to a date. I asked her to return the deposit and she was reserved about that saying it was non-refundable but since I had not backed out of the agreement, but the babies I had chosen had died she agreed. She went back and forth on the Runt and I even offered her half of my deposit for her without papers or health guarantee (no obligations at all). The next day she said she wouldn't give her to me because she "never" sends a baby home alone and since I wasn't getting one from "her" she wouldn't agree. Her website clearly states that she does allow people to take one if the "work from home" or retired and can provide love and care for them". Also she has many previous on her site with just one so I determined it was PURE greed at that point. I know she had at least 30 kittens on the property with 9 dames and 5 sires, far too many animals to provide proper care. It has since come to my attention she has 41 kittens less that 3 months old, 9 intact females, 5 males, 3 dogs and 6 other cats in her care in a home within the city. I have now visited other catteries and NONE had the odor or the volume of kittens for sale. She is nothing more than a Kitty Producer as indicated by the TICA, CFA and CFF. Do NOT use this woman, she claims to be a Christian but has no concern for the animals other than she makes money off of them. read more

I was nervous at first about purchasing my first kitten but Kathy educated me enough to feel confident in taking on this new-Mommy role!
