Awesome boarding experience!!! My Red had never been boarded after becoming a member of our family…read more He was about 3 yrs old when he earned his forever family status with us...and WE are the lucky ones let me tell you!! I avoided boarding like the plague for years, but the time finally did come when we just could not avoid it. We searched & searched and after much soul-searching...we decided on The Pines Pet. Not once have I regretted that choice!! Red LOVES his time there...it is quite evident when he becomes super animated upon driving into the parking lot and views the store front. He has formed a special bond with all of the staff. They clearly love him and he loves them just as much in return! My husband and I were VERY apprehensive about leaving him. We had never done so and with Red being a rescue...I did NOT want him to think he was being abandoned..AGAIN. Pines Pet was respectful and understanding of my fears. They kept in constant contact with us...even putting a few photos of his daily activities on Facebook so we could feel included. We were encouraged to call whenever we felt the need to check in. Since that first experience, we have boarded several more times. I would not dare take my Red anywhere else. The Pines Pet genuinely cares for your furry family members. They know us by name and will your pet as well. They know the personality of each one and take care to become accustomed to their likes and dislikes. Whenever there is no choice but to board...The Pines Pet is the ONLY place I would consider. Good luck to you all!!

After just *one* visit she was noticeably calmer, and that *calm lasted for weeks.* Now she actually looks forward to her appointments and seems happy to see the staff. The owner is very personable, and the grooming reports are fun, interactive, and informative. You can really tell they love what they do and care deeply about the dogs!

Highly recommend for any beloved cat!! We have a total of 4 cats; they run and hide when people…read morethey are not familiar with enters the house. Luna was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in June of 2025 and now takes medication twice daily. If left at home with her sister cats she would not get her medication due to hiding when the caretaker entered the house. We booked a two week stay at the Scratching Post while we traveled. I thought she would hide her whole time at the Inn, but to our surprise it was the opposite. During our daily updates we learned after the first 2 days of being shy she opened up to the staff. She enjoyed spending time with them, petting, scratches and followed them around, the word velcro kitty was used one day. She was very well taken care of during her stay. She is already scheduled for another stay at the Inn.

If you need a place to take your precious kitty, this is the place! I have an 8 month old spoiled…read morerotten Torte that we have had to use sitters in the past when we have had to go on short trips. It didn't workout for our normal sitters so I started researching places to leave my precious kitten. When I say they take fantastic care of your cat/kitten I feel that is an understatement. I would not hesitate to take her back. I highly recommend them. They only take care of cats so I felt that was a much less stressful situation instead of leaving them next to dogs. Even the rooms they keep them in are so much better than cages you see at other places. No cages here! They have little townhomes, standard suite or deluxe suite. I chose standard since I didn't think she needed the bigger room since it was just her. They also update you with pics and how their day went. If you can't tell I was incredibly pleased with this place.
