My wife and I had a birthday dinner there over the weekend. The food and service was impeccable! The staff was attentive without being intrusive. And the food was to die for! The restaurant was very busy and ambiance was like eating at a big dinner at a close friend and family's house. From the linen tablecloths, the friendly and prompt service and the excellent food, Ragazzi is 5 star dining all the way. There are other Italian restaurants in Green Valley but they cannot hold a candle to Ragazzi. Whether eating in the restaurant or taking out, the quality is amazingly mouthwatering. Dining room was stuffy and smoke filled for lunch! Hostess attributed it to because they had been cooking all morning! LOL! Fortunately we were seated near the bar in a corner with a ceiling fan that was working. Server was very prompt and polite. Food arrived quickly. Regarding lunch for a group on July 26. I tried mailing a letter of complaint to 2 addresses listed on their website. Both returned with USPS "return to sender" yellow label. Addresses are also correct per their business license. Did not want to resort to social media, but since I can't even post an independent comment on their Facebook page, I am resorting to this public post. See photo of letter regarding 3 of 10 meals being served after the others were finished eating (and one was an appetizer which was served absolutely last; charging for broken V&O decanter; and dirty/oily V&O decanters. 2 stars instead of 1 because the food is always good here. For several people in the party, this was their first visit. They will not be returning. read more

However, the last time we went it was listed as a special - I failed to check the price and the server didn't mention it when we asked about the special. The place feels like a dungeon. We looked at the tattered menus just long enough to have dried out bread plopped on our table. The menu is typical Americanized Italian. When I noticed the spaghetti and meatballs was $18.95 I laughed. Ridiculous. What seemed may be palatable ran $22-28, but there was NOTHING I couldn't whip up at home with simple ingredients. I'm not cheap, but for their prices I should get an ocean view. Nothing on the menu looked good enough to bother ordering. We left immediately in search of tacos. read more

It was worth the wait. Even though they take reservations, we still waited close to an hour. Met some very nice people while waiting. They claimed they were short staffed. The hostess was also waitressing on her first night but she seemed to be very efficient! Once seated and waited on , service was pretty good. Didn't matter, we were in no big hurry. We enjoyed the absolute best Chilean Sea Bass we''ve ever had. Service was spot on, servers were attentive without hovering, atmosphere was great...it felt like we were in an old Italian Bistro. Ragazzi's has been a family owned business for 25 years. Mothers Day was busy but we didn't feel rushed, we had an awesome experience and will definitely be back. Great service and great food! Highly recommended! We have been dining at Ragazzi for 2 and we are always satisfied.

I do enjoy eating here and so I brought five friends to experience a nice meal in Green Valley. I heard no complaints about the food. Great as always. My go to dish is the cioppino with the egg plant parmesan as back up. Rayna was gracious as ever. However my friends did comment about how many times she came over with another report about how customers said Ragazzi's this or that was the best. A couple of examples is plenty. Too many and I tend to avoid coming as often as I'd like. Don't get me wrong. She's a precious woman and I love the food there. read more

We avoid Italian restaurants as a rule. Too many trips to Italy have spoiled our pallets regarding Americanized Italian cuisine. This establishment is the real deal. This place is usually on point. Couple of days ago, I ordered two dishes for takeout- the sea bass which has been excellent in the past and did not disappoint. The other dish, fettuccini Alfredo with chicken was a huge disappointment. The chicken was overcooked causing is to be dry and tough and the Alfredo sauce had separated. Salad and soup were good as well as the breads. Why didn't I take it back? Because I ordered takeout and assumed they would be perfect. I live only 5 minutes from home and I had people waiting for food. Plus-I don't trust complaining and asking for a new dish at the same visit for fear of getting a surprise in my food. read more

We stumbled upon this hidden treasure as attending a lecture in green Valley. I can not wait to return and bring my husband along... the spicy calamari was not spicy but absolutely fantastic... we seriously wanted to lick the plate but used the yummy bread to gather every drop . The salad was mediocre but entree too was fantastic . I hate to use cliches but my eggplant Parmigiana really melted in my mouth. We were too full to have dessert . Only flaw was no lunch menu given to us on a Saturday and just iceberg lettuce with canned black olive and carrots . Our service was good but not great ... would have been nice if we would not have had to pour our own water when waiter brought the glasses of ice and water was in a capped carafe on the table. My wife and have been here at least three times. Tonight it was for our anniversary. This is an excellent, intimate dining room. The service was very good if not refined but pleasant and timely. The salad was fresh and tasty. I had the Gamberi E Cape Sante. The scallops were cooked to perfection. The texture was like butter. The sauce was out of this world. The asparagus was prepared perfectly. My only complaint was that the shrimp was slightly over cooked to my liking. The fettuccine was perfect either sauce being light and not too heavy. Flan was for dessert and it was out of this world. My wife said her chicken Marsala was excellent as was her spumoni ice cream for her dessert. Overall if your looking for a celebratory meal that's well prepared this is your place. If you're looking for huge portions for cheap prices, look elsewhere. read more
