Another lunch date at this location in the past month. The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet lunch. The wait staff are available and helpful. The service was great. Although the waiter did not come over after our entrees were delivered to see if everything was good. My guest had the chicken parm with pasta. The chicken was a nice big piece, the pasta portion was a bit small, but was hot and delicious. I had the chicken piccata. The serving was very tiny, more the size of a chicken medallion. The breast must have been cut in half, then pounded. Two that size would have been a better lunch serving. I love salt, and have a high tolerance for it, but this piccata sauce was very salty. I did mention it to the waiter to tell the chef, but I'm not sure if that will happen. This meal I make and order out often. Spinach was served on the side. I'm going to try uploading picture, but I've been encountering difficulty on this site. Also, the outside sandwich board has "Lunch Specials " "Wine Specials ", but there is nothing special about them. They are regular menu items at regular menu prices. I will certainly continue to go to this restaurant, but will mention my concerns before I order. read more

So my wife did a powerlifting meet at Sahuarita gym right next store so after we took the family there. The food was delicious again. Everyone that was with us even said the same thing. We are back after almost 2 years. Had the veal again, but it seemed a little rubbery this time. Had the salad instead of the soup, would have liked it a little bigger. I've had several meals at Ragazzi's over the last couple of years and always enjoyed them. Last night, my dad and I had dinner there and it was a typical experience. The food was quite good. Not fantastic Italian food, but very solid. Salads were fine, my penne with bolognese was delicious, and my dad liked his capellini with pomodoro sauce. I had a Negroni to start with that was very good and we each had a glass of the Rioja, which was also quite good. Service was attentive, although it did take a little while for us to get our check, probably because the place got very busy towards the end of our meal. As a sideline, I've seen several complaints that the portions at Ragazzi'a aren't large enough. I don't get this. We had bread, salad, and a decent bowl of pasta each. We were quite full when we left and I think we got all of this for a price comparable to other, similar restaurants. I personally think many American restaurants give you way too much food, which encourages overeating. We certainly didn't need any more food than what they served us. We stopped in for a lovely lunch with grandpa after Thanksgiving. The food was phenomenal. The portions were perfect. The SERVICE was out of this world. Went for breakfast and found great items on the menu. All of our choices were wonderful. Ambiance is good and the service was good, except that there was only server running his butt off. It seemed that the chef occasionally came out to help. The server offered us fresh coffee, which we waited for. They must have a 2 cup "Mr. Coffee" because all other customers had to wait for coffee also. Ok let's start by saying I have never ever been so surprised - talk about don't judge a book by it's cover - this unassuming hard to find strip mall building holds the most legit Italian spot I have found in years. I'm talking basic building, open the door and you are somehow IN Italy. I was so surprised but happy to not only be quickly seated but realize this is SO legit Italian that the staff speak Italian to each other the whole time. Ok I'm HERE for this. Like bring me never ending glasses of wine, olive oil and bread and I'm movin in, giving you all my money. Wine and bread happened quickly. Thennn it went a bit downhill. Ordering - well I was forgotten for a while. The salad - didn't even happen until I asked once my meal arrived. Another glass of wine - nope. Seemed they were not only busy but were wayyyyy more interested in the other tables that had more than just lonely ol me. I'm here for work, sorry I don't have someone else to bring. Oh well. Food came and the Alfredo pasta was to die for but the chicken Marsala was sooo weirdly sweet it was a no. Ordered a coffee and tiramisu for dessert. Tiramisu was good but that dang Latte was so good and just down right pretty. In the end I somehow seemed to wait out the rush. The wait staff was mostly friendly, only my wife and myself there on a Sunday afternoon, the menu was dirty, needed wiped, (what's that say about the food?... should have exited then...) Wife ordered the burger (she could not find anything else on the menu she liked), I ordered the "spaghetti & meatballs". The tiny salad came with the lettuce swimming in the dressing... the "spaghetti" was yuck, I did not like it. My wife always says, "...well, well done, no pink.." It was under cooked, so, send it back... I asked, ...twice... for more garlic bread. It finally came just as I was finishing... The Margarita was ok. I guess this place has enough, "usual customers" that are satisfied so why try to improve? The meals were certainly not worth the $50. read more

Went here with the inlaws. All the dishes were solid home made italian dishes. Portion sizes were large enough to bring home for lunch the next day but so good you had to finish them. I had the Petto Di Pollo Piccata with a side of alfredo. Definitely get again. The ambiance is ok, makes you feel like home but not overly fancy. We cannot recommend takeout. We ordered Chicken Picatta. The plain chicken breast had not been tenderized and was tough, making us suspect it was lunch fare, reheated. It's a Hidden gem in Green Valley! My boys and I went because I didn't want to cook dinner and we wanted some carbs :) we had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and The chicken Parmesan! We loved it and will definitely come back for lunch to try the pizza and the cheesecake. We didn't have enough room for desert because we had too much bread :) We know better next time. This Trattoria is tucked away in the corner of Green Valley and serves up delicious Italian food. To say it is traditional would be a stretch, but the food served up definitely has the ability and potential to make you leave with a content smile. We ordered the spicy calamari to start and it was definitely a pleaser. The calamari was served tossed in a queso-like sauce that had the right amount of citrus and spice to it. Definitely worth trying with a side of bread to scoop up all that goodness. Chicken Parmesan was served with a side of fettuccine Alfredo - simple dish with simple rewards. Pasta was cooked al dente, chicken was tender and had lots of cheese (if that's what you're into, it is a Chicken Parm). The Frutti De Mare was great, though I was not expecting a thin pasta to accompany the dish. Shame, because a slightly thicker spaghetti would've been able to soak up all that goodness. However, the white wine sauce was excellent and the seafood was not overcooked! Overall, the dish was slightly on the salty side and could've definitely used a touch of lemon or parsley to lighten up what should be a traditionally lighter dish. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! All meals come with a salad or soup! Priced extremely reasonably for an Italian meal in a cosy corner of the valley. read more

I'm from out of town and have visited twice. First for dinner and then this last for a Sunday lunch. Dinner was served in the bar area and was really wonderful, service was good, the waiter was charming and attentive, a bit distracted (which was expected) when it got busy. Food was delicious and the Prosecco was refreshing. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and looked forward to coming back. The next meal was lunch in a Sunday afternoon. We sat in the main dining room. The ambiance was less than spectacular, but service was good, portions appropriate for the meal. My mother loved the shrimp scampi and I liked the pette de pollo Marsala, which was just a tad overdone but flavorful. The limoncello cake was delicious ii, by the way, so thank you very much for that. Overall, I enjoyed each visit. The staff is always professional and friendly and the food enjoyable. read more

We have been there eating at this restaurant for the last couple of years. We have notice the following: 1. It seems like the wait staff is constantly changing. You never see the same faces. Either the working conditions are horrible, or the kids are not interested in waiting tables. 2. After being a customer for a couple of years, we made a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon entering, we were met by the owner and I told him that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I assumed that since were were there as returning customers, and there for a special occasion that the owner would present us with a small desert on the house. But no. No desire to appreciate customers who chose his restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. 3. Most recently, my wife and I went there in the afternoon on a Sunday. Outside the main door was a sandwich sign that advertised a specific bottle of wine for $25.00. After being seated by the owner, I requested this bottle of wine. He said, "oh that's our happy hour price, happy hour is over. I guess I should have brought in the sign." I said, "you're advertising that price and that's what I would like." He said nothing, stared at me then walked away. 4. The menus are dirty, as well as the oil and vinegar dispensers. They feel oily and greasy. So, It makes one wonder. Is the back of the house (kitchen) as dirty as the front of the house? So, a couple of things you can expect. The owner doesn't value long term customers. Further, he and the rest of the staff lacks friendliness and customer service skills. And finally, I believe he is money hungry and very cheep. read more
